Poll bug

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

In the first three minutes of today’s match, Misaka Mikoto’s information did not show up properly in the voting form. The button to cast a vote for her still worked, though. But if you want to double-check your vote, please email admin at internationalsaimoe dot com with your IP address, and we will confirm your ballot. Apologies for the error. If you loaded the voting page after 15:03 GMT today, then the problem was already fixed.

Championship Contestants Set

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

Congratulations to Misaka Mikoto for winning the Losers’ Bracket. Also a belated congratulations to Akiyama Mio for winning the Winners’ Bracket. Both girls now have a shot at ISML’s top prize, the Heavenly Tiara. Mio has an advantage, as she must lose twice in order to be eliminated, but anything can still happen.

We’ll take a break on Tuesday (the site may or may not close for some maintenance), and then the final will be on Thursday, 30 September. If a winner is decided, ISML will end, but if a rematch must take place, then it will be scheduled on Sunday.

We hope you’re all as excited as we are; within a week, we will crown a brand new ISML Champion.

A farewell to four girls

Saturday, September 11th, 2010

Tonight we say goodbye to four Contestants who were eliminated tonight, but they are not completely gone yet from the ISML scene. Hitagi, Nadeko, Kyō, and Kagami will return for our 15th- and 13th-place matches held next week at the same time as Winners’ Bracket 2 and Losers’ Bracket 3. Everybody will receive a final ranking once Double Elimination is over.

In other happier news, I would like to recognize lrv3646 for his donation to ISML — his second one in a year’s time. Thank you!

Winners’ Bracket 1 on Tuesday

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Apologies for my last statement in the previous news entry. We do have matches on Tuesdays. I was still thinking of last year’s schedule when I wrote that we didn’t. So the next match starts at the usual time on Tuesday just like in Regular Season. We have three matches per week until the last week, which does have Tuesday off while we prepare for the Championship match.

Results of the Preliminary Round are out tonight! Congratulations to the 8 who advance. For the other 8, hope is not yet lost, for there is still a path to the Championship Round at the end of the Losers’ Bracket. The results page also has a new addition: by clicking on the globe icons next to each arena result, you can view a map of the world listing the vote distributions for each character by country.

Double elimination begins!

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

The wait is over! ISML is back, and the Postseason has commenced! We present to you the 16 finalists as they begin to battle for the coveted Tiara. Please visit the voting page to cast your ballots. The same rules apply as with Regular Season: each round lasts 24 hours, 8-arena minimum. We continue to enforce the minimum in order to ensure the integrity of ballots, so please give thought to all of our upcoming exhibition matches in addition to the tournament arenas.

Many thanks to KholdStare for preparing the special postseason animated portraits for our Contestants; we hope you enjoy them while you vote.

As a reminder, we are on a Sunday/Thursday schedule during Double Elimination (no matches on Tuesday). Edit (6 Sept): Sorry, I don’t know what I was on when I said this. This year, according to the calendar, matches do run on Tuesdays; I believe I was mixing it up with last year.
