Exhibition finale

Sunday, December 15th, 2013

Congratulations to Oreki Hōtarō for winning the Lapis Scepter for this year’s Male Edition tournament! We’re happy to continue this tradition and allow more chances for our voters to show their support for their favorite characters. Congratulations also to Hakurei Reimu for winning our first Touhou tournament. There has been demand for this for a while, and we’re glad to be able to present it this year.

This wraps up the 2013 year, and we take a few weeks off until 2014 is upon us, and the Nomination Period begins again. Please look forward to an updated rules Charter and the chance to bring the newest characters into our main tournament.

Thank you for voting, and we’ll see you soon!

Exhibition Tournaments 2013

Sunday, November 17th, 2013

Voting is open again! As a special treat during the ISML off-season we have a series of exhibition tournaments starting today.

– ISML Male Edition
– ISML Touhou Tournament
– ISML 2013 Summer Seasonal Tournament
– ISML 2013 Autumn Sesaonal Tournament

The male tournament is in its third year; the main page shows our previous winners, Lelouch and Kirito. Today is Day 1 featuring Groups 1-8. Groups 9-16 will be featured on Day 2.

The Touhou tournament is new to ISML this year. There are 8 groups split over two days.

The Summer and Autumn seasonal tournaments are similar to the Winter and Spring tournaments held earlier in the year. This is a preview of what ISML 2014 has in store, as we feature the newest characters in exhibition matchups.

Enjoy the matches, and thanks for voting!

Champion for 2013

Tuesday, October 8th, 2013

A new champion is crowned. Congratulations to Gokō Ruri for winning the ISML 2013 Heavenly Tiara! Along with an undefeated regular season, Ruri survives the final matchup against the defending champion Tachibana Kanade. It was a tough battle to the end. But the voters have spoken. Thank you everyone for another fantastic year.

All of our Contestants deserve praise and congratulations for advancing as far as they have and representing the best of moe for fans worldwide. And to the new and upcoming faces, we recognize Kurousagi and Tokisaki Kurumi for winning the Diadems of the Winter and Spring anime seasons. We expect great accomplishments from them in next year’s tournament.

The Summer and Fall seasonal tournaments will be held later this year during our Exhibition Bonus tournament, which will feature male characters again along with additional surprises. For now we take a long break for the off-season. I would like to thank all our great Staff and contributors for helping to keep this tournament running strongly and as smoothly as possible. Thanks to those who have donated money or shopped using our affiliate links. We have enough funding to last us through all of next year, so ISML will definitely return for a seventh season.

The fun doesn’t have to stop; our forums will be open all year round, and we have a great community here. Also become a fan of our Facebook page as well for a regular dose of moe on your feed — as well as a way to keep up with the latest ISML news.

See you again in November for our Exhibition tournament!

Gender/age correction

Saturday, September 14th, 2013

The numbers reported for demographics (gender/age) of voters on Day 2 and Day 3 this Period were incorrect. Typo in the spreadsheet. So if you keep up with those numbers, please check them again and update your data. Day 3 results are still on the front page tonight.

For Day 2 and archived results, please visit the Statistics Portal.

Also, maps and charts for Day 3 voting are now available. Sorry for the wait. Maps and graphs may be delayed for future rounds, but the results themselves are still planned to be on time.
