RSS Feed about Voting Times and Results

By Crisu March 19th, 2012, under Site-related

A new RSS feed is available to notify you about when voting starts and ends, as well as when results are released.

Please subscribe to
http://www.internationalsaimoe.com/voting/rss/ for these updates.

This is a separate feed from the one that follows this news blog, which is
http://www.internationalsaimoe.com/rss/, so we recommend subscribing to both!

The voting RSS is new, so it may be buggy in the first few updates, but we’ll get those fixed as soon as they appear.

By Crisu March 5th, 2012, under Preseason

Groupings for Phase II are now visible on the front page. The voting page has the preview for Day 1 matches on Sunday. Day 1 will feature Nova groups 1 to 4 and Stella groups 1 to 4. Day 2 will be groups 5 to 8.

Candidates earn points for first place and second place within the arena of 3. After the round-robin finishes after 4 rounds (8 voting days), each group’s winner will advance to the Regular Season.

Break before Phase II

By Crisu March 1st, 2012, under Preseason

Tonight concludes the Seeding Round; thank you for participating! We take a short break while preparing for Phase II. It is the round-robin phase, similar to Phase I’s from previous years. We will have the groupings on the website later in the week.

Phase II will begin on Sunday, March 11.

Phase I concluded

By Crisu February 25th, 2012, under Preseason

Congratulations to our first set of 2012 Contestants! Twelve Candidates in each of the Nova and Stella Divisions advance to the Regular Season after this week’s matches. They are now listed on our Contestants page; we will have their biographies updated this weekend to update their performance statistics.

Phases II and III are still ahead for all our remaining Candidates, so please keep campaigning for your favorites as they try for a chance at the International Saimoe title this year.

The next two voting rounds will make up the Seeding Phase. These are additional matches where we collect data in order to seed the Contestants come Regular Season. The first arena of each day will be the 12 winners from either Nova or Stella Divisions. Then eight groups will follow with nine Candidates each. Vote for up to two girls in each arena like in Phase I. Nobody will advance or be eliminated from this Phase, but it will help us to know how certain girls rank above others.

We received a donation this week; thank you to netvope! And thanks to everyone for voting in the tournament. Please look forward to future upcoming rounds!

Round 1 preview available

By Crisu February 11th, 2012, under Preseason

The match preview for tomorrow’s round is now available on the voting page. We apologize for not having it ready sooner, but we’re still just in time for the start of the Preliminary Period. Tomorrow is the start of Phase I, where our Candidates are placed in groups of 7. You can vote up to 2 girls in each group.

Each round will take two days to complete. Tomorrow will feature Groups 1-6 of the Nova Division and Groups 7-12 of the Stella Division. Tuesday will be the other half. Then we will regroup everybody based on voting results and repeat the process for round two. After three rounds (six voting days), we will admit 12 winners to the Regular Season and then move on to the next preliminary phase.

Nomination Results Released

By Crisu January 12th, 2012, under Preseason

Nomination results for ISML 2012 are now on the main page! (Later onwards, they will be archived here.) Congratualations to the girls who advance to the Preliminary Period. The playing field is slightly larger than last year’s, and the introduction of the two Divisions in 2012 will certainly make things interesting!

Reported totals are exact for characters with at least 30 nominations. Below that, we expect a margin of error of 1 or 2. We do not have plans to release names who recorded fewer than 25 nominations.

Thanks to all our voters for participating and for your patience while we tallied the results. Voting will begin on February 12 with the start of the Preliminary Period. Until then, we make preparations with not only the new tournament format but also with graphics for all of our Candidates. If you would like to help us out, please join us on the forum!

Groupings for Prelim, Phase I, will be released soon. Look forward to another great ISML season!

Today is the last day to submit your nominations for ISML 2012.

http://www.internationalsaimoe.com/voting/

We have received a record number of nominations this year and are very pleased with the great turnout! This is looking to be another excellent year for ISML. When nominations end, we will count all valid submissions and process the results. Expected time is 2 to 3 days until the announcement of the winners. We will admit 72 characters into the Nova Division and 72 into the Stella Division.

Thank you for your participation in ISML!

Nominations ongoing

By Crisu January 4th, 2012, under Preseason

The ISML 2012 Nomination Period is still open. Visit the Voting Page to submit your picks!

A little more than three days remain, so if you have not nominated yet, there’s still plenty of time to think things over and have a full set of 12 names. If you can’t get to 12, that’s okay, but you never know who you might forget. Talk it over with your friends and communities to make sure that your best girls get representation in the next phase!

When possible, please give the character’s full name and the series’ full title. This will speed up our processing and prevent accidents.

2012 Nominations Are Open

By Crisu January 1st, 2012, under Preseason

Happy New Year! The start of 2012 means that the Nomination Period for ISML 2012 has begun.

You have seven days to think about your nominations, so take your time and choose carefully! You may submit a nomination form only one time. You cannot fill it out partially and resume it later; all names must be submitted at once.

Remember that the 24 pictured characters are auto-qualified to the Preliminaries, so you do not need to nominate these girls.

When you are ready, visit the Voting Page to submit your nomination!

Spread the news, and tell your friends. There are many people who have more than 12 names in mind, so if your list is shorter than 12, consider looking into discussions on our forum or your local communities for names you may have overlooked.

Good luck to all our competitors! Remember that the girls chosen here will be the ones you’ll see for the rest of the year!
