Amethyst Concluded

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Congratulations to Nagato Yuki for winning the 2011 Amethyst Necklace! She joins Shana as the second Contestant to defend a Necklace after winning it the previous year. It was a close battle between her and Eucliwood, but there can be only one victor in the end. Best of luck to Eu and all of our other Contestants in the matches to come! There are many Necklaces remaining, and the coveted Heavenly Tiara is also still out there for the taking. Amethyst Period is concluded, and we have a short break until Sapphire Period on Wednesday, July 5. Previews for the first round can be expected by the end of the coming weekend.

Our exhibition winner this Period is Kagura from Gintama, who wins the Amethyst Brooch. Congratulations!

Thank you for all your votes, support, and donations. We are nearing the halfway point of the Regular Season, and things couldn’t be more exciting.

Amethyst Period

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

Welcome to Amethyst Period; you’ll be seeing things in purple for the next 3 weeks.

The preview for Round 1 is now available on the voting page. Voting will begin on Sunday at 15:00 GMT per usual.

For our forum members, Fantasy will be delayed as we have a new format in the works, but it should be ready later today or tomorrow.

Amethyst over

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Congratulations to the winner of the Amethyst Necklace, Nagato Yuki!

Since it is the end of the Period, the “head-to-head” tiebreaker took effect for the final Amethyst standings, which has higher precedence than the SDO stat. It affected three Contestants in the middle of the standings but played no role in determining the necklace winner (and it won’t play a role in the future as long as the necklace contenders have no losses in the Period).

This tiebreaker won’t be applied to the overall standings until the end of the Regular Season.

Timer reduction

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

Starting Amethyst 6, the voting timer will be reduced to 3 minutes (180 seconds).

Amethyst 5 did not have any submissions for featured match previews. If you want to contribute a writeup for future matches, please post them on our forums.

Thanks to everyone for sticking with ISML and voting! We are nearing another Period finale here in Amethyst.

Exhibition correction

Friday, April 30th, 2010

The wrong matchup was shown for Amethyst 1′s exhibition earlier today; it has since been fixed.

The correct matchup is
Nakajima Yōko (The Twelve Kingdoms) vs. Presea Combatir (Tales of Symphonia)

Apologies for the confusion; the incorrect matchup that was listed will take place at a later date.
