Delayed Start to E6

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Voting for Emerald 6 began 90 minutes late today because of technical issues (timers not executing properly). Therefore voting will end 90 minutes “late,” too, in order to have the voting page available a full 24 hours. Emerald 6 will be open until 1630 GMT tomorrow.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Added Note: Results will still be available on the correct time at 0300 GMT Friday (10.5 hours after voting ends).

Timer issues

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

For some reason this week, the timers on the website are not operating as they should be. Apologies for not discovering that the voting page for Sapphire 2 was left open until just recently. This won’t affect match results, since all ballots are timestamped, and we can easily crop all votes that came in after 1500 GMT.

I will work on resolving the timer issue so everything begins and ends at the proper time as they had been.

All events will stay on schedule.

Exhibition correction

Friday, April 30th, 2010

The wrong matchup was shown for Amethyst 1′s exhibition earlier today; it has since been fixed.

The correct matchup is
Nakajima Yōko (The Twelve Kingdoms) vs. Presea Combatir (Tales of Symphonia)

Apologies for the confusion; the incorrect matchup that was listed will take place at a later date.

Aquamarine 1 in progress

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Welcome to the ISML Regular Season!

Things are going smoothly; votes are coming in at a record pace. Fantasy participation is also at a high. Thank you, everyone, for your support.

The front page got a bit buggy when the wrong schedule was displayed for a few hours, but that has been corrected. Featured matches previewed by members of our community are now displayed on the front page.

Bug report

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

If you voted for the first time in ISML today, you may have gotten this error:

“Insert error (IPVoteCount)”

This issue has been resolved. Your ballot was still recorded, but a typo in the script caused this message to show up in place of the “Thank you for voting” message. This is why you may have gotten the “This IP has already submitted a vote” message if you tried to submit your ballot a second time, because it was already recorded on the first try.

A different error that caused the voting form not to load in the first 4 minutes of the polling period was also fixed. It was a short enough period of time that we will not need to extend voting hours.

Thanks everyone for helping out and for your patience with the issue. :D

A brief confirmation error

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Voters in the first 20 minutes or so of Seeding 2 experienced an error in the confirmation screen, which lit up the wrong character portraits after a ballot was submitted.

This was an error in the display only; your ballot was still recorded correctly as you intended on the voting screen. The code provided in the text boxes was still consistent with your votes.

Sorry for the confusion!

…And while I’m on the topic, Shana and Hinagiku will receive points equal to the highest % of votes received in this round by any one Contestant. Don’t worry too much if the final seeding results are not what you may have wanted; the purpose of this tournament is to give us a recent measure of relative Contestant strength, so we are able to build a balanced Regular Season schedule. The difference between, say, 1st and 5th place won’t be very large.

Thanks, everyone, for sticking with us through this. :)
