Match started 8 minutes late. Sorry for the unintended additional suspense. We’ll continue to run as scheduled.

Diamond 7 is open
Sunday, October 2nd, 2011Three rounds remain
Monday, September 26th, 2011After results are released tonight, just three rounds remain in the battle to hold onto the bottom positions of the Top 16. Pay close attention to the matches surrounding the Contestants on this bubble, as your votes will determine who pushes forward to the Postseason and who ends their journey after next week.
We’ve been able to isolate the server issues to a certain few instances. Unfortunately they cannot be repaired completely until after the Regular Season is done and we can afford more time to do work that may take down the server for periods of time. For the rest of Diamond Period, an intermittent outage is still possible if we don’t catch it in time. Otherwise it will be just a few minutes before services are restored. So please vote as you normally would; once the form says your ballot is accepted, you are assured that it was written to the database. Thanks to those who have helped out and reported issues when they spot them. The feedback is very helpful.
Server will hiccup today
Sunday, September 25th, 2011If your vote does not succeed today, please try it again later.
Unfortunately server updates this weekend did not go well and so far has resulted in the server freezing up every few hours. And then after that happens it needs to be restarted, and the cycle repeats again until I finish fixing the error. This will result in some interruptions during the voting period, so I apologize in advance. If you get a database error while submitting your vote, please wait a while before submitting again.
I’ll give you updates as I have them.
Correction to S3 Exhibition
Friday, July 8th, 2011Scheduling error on Sapphire 3 (S3) Exhibition Match on the Match Preview; it has now been fixed.
The correct matchup is Chii vs. Kagura. Sorry for any confusion.
Corrected statistics
Thursday, May 19th, 2011Topaz 1 rankings were incorrect upon release, but they are now corrected. This is for the rankings calculations (both Topaz and Overall) only. The vote totals and winners from yesterday’s matches have not changed.
Thanks to the many keen eyes in our Community for discovering it first; ISML Staff apologizes for not catching the error prior to release.
EDIT: Was alerted to a few more corrections that were needed. Those are now applied; more details in the first comment below.
Poll bug
Thursday, September 30th, 2010In the first three minutes of today’s match, Misaka Mikoto’s information did not show up properly in the voting form. The button to cast a vote for her still worked, though. But if you want to double-check your vote, please email admin at internationalsaimoe dot com with your IP address, and we will confirm your ballot. Apologies for the error. If you loaded the voting page after 15:03 GMT today, then the problem was already fixed.
Winners’ Bracket 1 on Tuesday
Tuesday, September 7th, 2010Apologies for my last statement in the previous news entry. We do have matches on Tuesdays. I was still thinking of last year’s schedule when I wrote that we didn’t. So the next match starts at the usual time on Tuesday just like in Regular Season. We have three matches per week until the last week, which does have Tuesday off while we prepare for the Championship match.
Results of the Preliminary Round are out tonight! Congratulations to the 8 who advance. For the other 8, hope is not yet lost, for there is still a path to the Championship Round at the end of the Losers’ Bracket. The results page also has a new addition: by clicking on the globe icons next to each arena result, you can view a map of the world listing the vote distributions for each character by country.
Delayed Start to E6
Thursday, June 24th, 2010Voting for Emerald 6 began 90 minutes late today because of technical issues (timers not executing properly). Therefore voting will end 90 minutes “late,” too, in order to have the voting page available a full 24 hours. Emerald 6 will be open until 1630 GMT tomorrow.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Added Note: Results will still be available on the correct time at 0300 GMT Friday (10.5 hours after voting ends).
Timer issues
Wednesday, May 26th, 2010For some reason this week, the timers on the website are not operating as they should be. Apologies for not discovering that the voting page for Sapphire 2 was left open until just recently. This won’t affect match results, since all ballots are timestamped, and we can easily crop all votes that came in after 1500 GMT.
I will work on resolving the timer issue so everything begins and ends at the proper time as they had been.
All events will stay on schedule.
