Finished with Emerald Period!

Tuesday, August 21st, 2012

A belated post regarding Emerald Period’s completion, which has finished smoothly, but we’re left with only a single period before our Regular Season ends. And with that, we’d like to congratulate Eucliwood Hellscythe, who managed to stay on top and worked hard to obtain the Emerald Necklace, and to Kasugano Sora for her successful victory in her exhibition inter-division matchup that has earned her the Emerald Anklet!

In regards to the change this year, we’ve replaced the Emerald Ring with the Anklet which originally belonged to the Diamond Period as both Diamond and Sapphire have been removed from our Regular Season. If there’s any confusion about this, feel free to leave a comment or post in our IRC channel (or Forums) and we’ll do our best to clear things up.

Thank you everyone for your continual support, and let’s hope for a successful Topaz Period!

Ruby Period has ended!

Saturday, July 21st, 2012

With the completion of Ruby Period, we’re more than half-way through Regular Season and there’s only Emerald and Topaz left to go! And of course, we’d like to congratulate the winners of the Ruby Necklace and the Ruby Medallion. Misaka Mikoto worked hard throughout Ruby to stay on top and that paid off with her successful grasp of the Ruby Necklace. And in addition, C.C. was awarded with the Ruby Medallion for her victory in the exhibition inter-division matchup. Congratulations to these two wonderful contestants for their hard work towards a successful victory.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to vote and support your favorite contestants, and we’ll hope you’ll join us in the Forums if you haven’t registered already!

We hope to continue seeing your support when it comes time for Emerald Period!

Amethyst Period is Completed!

Saturday, June 23rd, 2012

To think that half the year is over and with that, 2012 Amethyst is also over. It was a close match between the 7 wonderful contestants who worked hard this Period for the necklace, but the one who was able to come out on top in the end was Gokō Ruri. Congratulations to Gokō Ruri for obtaining the Amethyst Necklace! In addition, Ikaros has won the Amethyst Brooch from the exhibition inter-division matchup! A big applause for these two lovely ladies who persevered throughout their matches, thanks to your support.

We’re grateful to all of you voters out there who are gathering support for your favorite contestants, and spreading the word in order to make this a great year for everyone! While we’re preparing for Ruby, why don’t you take a look at the Forums and discuss results with others?

Thank you, everyone! We hope you’re all as excited for Ruby as we are! Take care until then!

Amethyst Concluded

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Congratulations to Nagato Yuki for winning the 2011 Amethyst Necklace! She joins Shana as the second Contestant to defend a Necklace after winning it the previous year. It was a close battle between her and Eucliwood, but there can be only one victor in the end. Best of luck to Eu and all of our other Contestants in the matches to come! There are many Necklaces remaining, and the coveted Heavenly Tiara is also still out there for the taking. Amethyst Period is concluded, and we have a short break until Sapphire Period on Wednesday, July 5. Previews for the first round can be expected by the end of the coming weekend.

Our exhibition winner this Period is Kagura from Gintama, who wins the Amethyst Brooch. Congratulations!

Thank you for all your votes, support, and donations. We are nearing the halfway point of the Regular Season, and things couldn’t be more exciting.

Aquamarine Necklace Showdown

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

We are at the final round of Aquamarine Period; it has been an exciting couple of weeks leading up to this point. This year, ISML introduces a new matchup that will determine the winner of the Necklace, dubbed the “Necklace Showdown” (but also more simply, Round 8).

Here the top 7 eligible Contestants participate in a free-for-all match. Eligible Contestants are those who have not yet won a Necklace this year. Since this is the first Period, nobody will be passed up in the Aquamarine standings for this round.

Simply acquiring the most votes in this round does not win the Necklace. As noted in the 2011 Charter, a score is calculated from the votes earned today and the SDO rating over the whole Period. So performance over the last seven rounds do play a large role, and the top seed has a greater advantage entering the match.

5. At the end of the round, each Contestant receives a Necklace Score, calculated as the product of her voting percentage for the round of and her SDO for the entire Period.
6. The Contestant with the highest Necklace Score will be awarded the Necklace. Ties are resolved according to the procedure list in the preceding section (Rule VII.E).

We have four arenas of exhibition matches, one of which consists of the seven exhibition winners in each of the voting rounds this Period. Please vote in all arenas; abstains will not be allowed.

Congratulations to everyone for making this far, and good luck to our competitors! To the voters, please enjoy today’s match!

Sapphire over

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

Congratulations to Shana for winning the Sapphire Necklace; she is the first Contestant to have defended a Necklace in consecutive years, also winning it in 2009.

We move on to Emerald Period next week. The usual preview will be available on Friday, but if you can’t wait, you can visit the full schedule page to look at the rest of the matchups.

Topaz over

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Congratulations to Aisaka Taiga for winning the 2010 Topaz Necklace!

We hope you’ve enjoyed this past month of matches; Amethyst Period is next! The preview for Round 1 will be available on Friday.

(Maybe I’ll get to finish developing that exhibition page… >_>)
