Nominations open

Sunday, March 1st, 2015

Nominations for ISML 2015 are now open! The ballot form is here!

You have two weeks total to enter submissions, so there is plenty of time to prepare. You may only submit one time, so there is no rush at all. You cannot edit your nomination once it is submitted.

We have made another tweak to the nomination rules in the charter. We are allowing 14 slots for the Nova and Stella divisions now instead of 12. Hopefully this helps your decision-making! And the other adjustment is restricting to three anime franchises for the entire ballot. It used to be for both male and female, but we are not requiring that both male and female have nominations. You may pick just one .. or do a little in both.

There is some lightweight checking for nominating too few series, but the form cannot account for misspellings, so please double-check your ballot before submitting!

Translation functions are unavailable right now, but we’ll get them up ASAP. For now the ballot instructions are only in English. But you may fill in the blanks in any language. Our staff will translate your nominations afterwards. So if you are able to fill it out in English, please do so, as it helps us a lot!

The CAPTCHA will now inform you when an incorrect answer is given, so you may try again until you get it right.

Thank you, and good luck to all our Contestants-to-be!

Nomination results released!

Wednesday, January 15th, 2014

The results of the ISML 2014 Nomination Period are now available. Thank you for your participation and patience! We had another great turnout this year.

Ties for the final slots are resolved by admitting newer characters. We made sure to count extra carefully around the cutoff points. We should see many of the characters who didn’t make it in future Exhibition matches.

The winners today will advance to the Preliminary Period. Staff will begin preparations and collecting avatars for the voting ballots. If you have not checked it out yet, the 2014 Charter is also available. These will define our procedures up ahead in the year. Overall, the prelim format will be mostly the same as last year.

Thank you again, and we’ll see you in a few weeks!

Our 2014 Charter is ready. Nomination and auto-qualification guidelines are included. In short, they are about the same as 2013’s, which some adjustments for Stella Division since we are one more year ahead.

If you would like, share your nominations on our forums or on our Facebook page.

Results will be out a few days following the end of Nominations. We don’t have an exact time, because of the amount of manual counting and verification involved, but in past years it has averaged about 3 to 4 days.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Nomination results for ISML 2012 are now on the main page! (Later onwards, they will be archived here.) Congratualations to the girls who advance to the Preliminary Period. The playing field is slightly larger than last year’s, and the introduction of the two Divisions in 2012 will certainly make things interesting!

Reported totals are exact for characters with at least 30 nominations. Below that, we expect a margin of error of 1 or 2. We do not have plans to release names who recorded fewer than 25 nominations.

Thanks to all our voters for participating and for your patience while we tallied the results. Voting will begin on February 12 with the start of the Preliminary Period. Until then, we make preparations with not only the new tournament format but also with graphics for all of our Candidates. If you would like to help us out, please join us on the forum!

Groupings for Prelim, Phase I, will be released soon. Look forward to another great ISML season!

Nominations ongoing

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

The ISML 2012 Nomination Period is still open. Visit the Voting Page to submit your picks!

A little more than three days remain, so if you have not nominated yet, there’s still plenty of time to think things over and have a full set of 12 names. If you can’t get to 12, that’s okay, but you never know who you might forget. Talk it over with your friends and communities to make sure that your best girls get representation in the next phase!

When possible, please give the character’s full name and the series’ full title. This will speed up our processing and prevent accidents.

2012 Nominations Are Open

Sunday, January 1st, 2012

Happy New Year! The start of 2012 means that the Nomination Period for ISML 2012 has begun.

You have seven days to think about your nominations, so take your time and choose carefully! You may submit a nomination form only one time. You cannot fill it out partially and resume it later; all names must be submitted at once.

Remember that the 24 pictured characters are auto-qualified to the Preliminaries, so you do not need to nominate these girls.

When you are ready, visit the Voting Page to submit your nomination!

Spread the news, and tell your friends. There are many people who have more than 12 names in mind, so if your list is shorter than 12, consider looking into discussions on our forum or your local communities for names you may have overlooked.

Good luck to all our competitors! Remember that the girls chosen here will be the ones you’ll see for the rest of the year!

Thank you for your patience! We finished ahead of schedule. The results of the ISML 2011 Nomination Period are now available.

Congratulations to the 96 characters who enter the Preliminary Period to become Candidates for the Regular Season! Also listed are some invalid nominations because those girls have either already advanced or were declared ineligible per tournament rules. And we also provided a list of girls who came close to the cutoff. We appreciate their participation and hope to see many of them next year for ISML 2012. Some may get selected for exhibition matches this year as well.

Groupings for Phase I will be released soon. Look forward to it!
