Re: 2017 Elimination stage general discussions

May I ask how the seeding of the elimination is decided? From the lineup in female division, today's match looks like to be #2 vs #15 and #7 vs #10. But in the male division the opponent of Korosensei is Okabe Rintaro. This does not look right, because: (refer to this post for data) If we seed them ...

Re: 2017 Emerald General Discussions Thread

OK, this is going too far. Anyone in Chinese forum, if it's possible, I'd like to see the evidence that Natsume Takashi is properly campaigned (Just like the case in Asuna). I really don't think Natsume Takashi, even after campaigned, can win over Saitama a whooping 372 votes. (And no, I'm not here...

Re: ISML 2017 Spring Seasonal Tournament - General Discussio

Sorry for nitpicking again, but now Hinako is in the matchup, there is another problem with seeding: In winter seasonal, seed order is determined solely by CVP, but it looks like now the number of wins also affects seeding. According to spreadsheet, Sakuragi Hinako have higher CVP than Meteora Öster...

Re: ISML 2017 Spring Seasonal Tournament - General Discussio

I have a question about the VP calculation in necklace matches. In winter seasonal, there are two matches scheduled in Aquamarine necklace: Tōru vs Toyama Kasumi and Adagaki Aki vs Mash Kyrielight. According to the spreadsheet, these four contestants have VP of 1.488248, 0.339209, 0.76656, 1.029915 ...

Re: Instructions about STV

ISML will be using Single Transferrable voting to select the two characters among ten 5th place finishers to advance from Sapphire to Emerald, and four characters among the eight 5th place finishers to advance from Emerald to Ruby. Um, I thought Emerald will have 48 contestants, which means we need...

Re: 2017 Topaz General Discussions Thread

What are the groups for Topaz? From the published Topaz 1 Preview, looks like the groups are determined by sorting everyone's CVP, then arrange them in S shape, and finally with some minor tweaks to avoid two person to meet again. How exactly they are tweaked is beyond my grasp (eg. How is Okazaki ...

Re: ISML Winter Seasonal 2017- General Discussion

Um, don't know whether this place is the correct place for this or not, but currently Aquamarine 20 matchup has Kurumizawa Satanichia McDowell vs Kamiki Izumo which is already happened in Aquamarine 14. According to the matchup on Aquamarine 8 and 14, this match should be Kurumizawa vs Tōno Kyōko.

Re: ISML 2017 Format

Some bug report and suggestion on the Chinese version of Charter currently on the site: (My suggestion will be in Traditional Chinese, the Simplified version can be modified accordingly) Bugfix on VII.I: "64強賽事"→"60強賽事" Suggestion on VIII.F: "IRV制"→"排序複選制". This is the page title of IRV in the Chine...

Re: Diamond Period Group formation algorithm

Yūki Asuna and Hikigaya Komachi are both in Group 13 in Topaz. They've met in Topaz 2. Therefore Komachi (7) should move down to Group 7, then the following should happen: Shinobu (3) to Group 5, Chiyo (4) to Group 6, Azusa (16) to Group 6, Rize (15) to Group 7, and finally Shinka (5) and Isla (10) ...

Re: ISML 2016 Summer Seasonal - Nominate Now

Some wording issue in the nomination page:
Since 2016 has no preliminary, does all "2016 prelimiary" refers to the 128-person list of the main tournament?
By the look of previous replies, this seems to be the case but just want some clarification.

Re: 2016 Topaz General Discussion Threads

The translation of "Maya Fey" in Topaz 6 is wrong. It should be 綾里真宵 in Traditional Chinese and Japanese, 绫里真宵 in Simplified Chinese. 綾里千尋 / 绫里千寻 is the older sister Mia Fey. I can't read Russian and Korean so that also worth a check.

Re: ISML 2015 - Male/Female Eligibility Discussion

What Kordosa wants to say here is that: when in doubt, you need to "ask" the character what he/she think of him/herself. That's the problem. What does s/he think of him/herself? The Roe2 analogy doesn't hold. The consciousness behind Tetora is male. The consciousness behind Roe2 is female; she's he...

Re: ISML 2015 - Male/Female Eligibility Discussion

To draw a comparison, let's say there were a tournament with male and female divisions consisting of all of the ISML forum users. Many of the male forum users use female avatars, but that does not make them female. Instead, they would be put into the male division to reflect their actual genders. G...

Re: 2014 Postseason general discussion thread

Hmm, it seems that avery-kun's spreadsheet has some Round 4 result wrong: Nova: Tsukiko wins against Yoshino, Kuroyukihime wins against Rikka, Shinka wins against Kurousagi; Stella: Kanade wins against Mikoto, Yuri wins against Haruhi. The Division order, as calculated by my Excel spreadsheet, shoul...

Re: 2014 Amethyst General Discussion Thread

The result of Amethyst 5 Exhibition probably has a name mapping error... Arena 19 is Saki vs Takao from D-Frag!, but when I click on the translation button it changed to Takao from Aoki Hagane; After that when I click back to English it mapped back to the latter Takao. Since all translation has the ...

Re: Main Site Bugs and Errors

In the Aquamarine 4 voting, the Chinese name (both traditional and simplified) of Takasu Ayako (Arena 19) is wrong.
It should be 鷹栖絢子 (traditional) or 鹰栖绚子 (simplified).
吉村護(吉村护) is the hero Yoshimura Mamoru.
