Re: ISML 2015 - Tournament of Champions
Sphire, as much as you think so, from data it's obvious many voters do not treat them equally. This is why they only come to vote for Postseason. I'm not disagreeing with you, since YOU are treating RS and PS equally and that's actually what we want. But unfortunately, many do not. Hmm, that is tru...

Re: ISML 2015 - Tournament of Champions
PS is straight 1v1, nothing else matters. RS has all kinds of shenanigans, which makes it fun, but there are way more variables. As it is, RS is purposely vague so that voters don't really know a characters pure 1v1 strength, especially between Nova and Stella. That's not going to change under thes...

Re: ISML 2015 - Tournament of Champions
My 2 primary dislikes are first: No Tiara bearers for RS and more importantly PS. So if we're taking them away from PS, I feel you might as well take them away from RS (Option 1). I don't like it, but I don't see the point of them hanging around in RS. This is what I don't understand. Why do people...

Re: ISML 2015 - Tournament of Champions
Here is how I view the Option 1. By introducing ToC, we have made the current prelim+Regular Season + Postseason to Tiara, a Qualifying round into the ultimate crown that can be won in Tournament of the Champions . It can be thought that past Tiara winners are Auto qualified to the Ultimate stage o...

Re: ISML 2015 - Tournament of Champions
Damn, I didn't think I'd be the only one who wanted the Tiara bearers to remain, even in PS. I guess I am the odd one out. - Like avery-kun said, this can avoid the question of "What poster should we give whosoever?" before the period start. Weirdly enough, this has swayed me to go with Option 1. I ...

Re: ISML 2015 - Tournament of Champions
Oh, I think I died a little reading this (if I understood it right). ... but as a whole, people believe that it lessens the value of those who win the Tiara. As a whole? Really? Do the majority here think some Tiara winners are undeserving? That is surprising news to me. The ramblings of hateful idi...

Re: ISML 2014 Trap Tournament - General Discussion
I think if you're going to do a tourney like this, you should include both trap and reverse trap as it'll provide a bigger sample and it gives equal chance to both sides, unless a reverse trap tourney is planned somewhere down the line. Also, this may just be me, but I remember a video game being cr...

Re: ISML 2015 - Operational Changes
So now we're going to have two tiara-winners not subject to the new rules. One from the first generation, one from the second. Wonder if only one will survive this before it changes again. Mathematically, everything works out to as before. The volatility of the new system is dampened by the effects...

Re: ISML 2015 - Operational Changes
Maybe I should have read this before replying to the structural change thread, although I didn't really say much. Point 3 and 4 seem fairly straight forward. Point 1 sounds cool, although it does seem like it is giving a lot more 'value' to later wins than earlier wins (regardless of model). Maybe t...

Re: ISML 2015 - Structural Changes
Shame there will be no male tourney this year, but at least it'll allow Blank's total and utter dominance next year, so all is good. As for the nitty-gritty, I'm sure the staff have it worked out, and I don't want to try and dissect how things will go. Bit of a shame that seasonal tourneys now have ...

Re: International Saimoe League 2014 Awards: Nomination Phas
Huh, okay. I'll try to pick characters I think deserve some credit and actually match the categories rather than just favs of mine just because. a) Aragaki Ayase & Aoyama Nanami b) Eucliwood Hellscythe & Himeragi Yukina c) Toaru Kagaku no Railgun & The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya d) Hayami Saori &...

Re: RESULTS: 2014 Postseason 10
Congrats to Kotori on winning the Tiara! She ended up being the only one strong enough to pull it off. Pretty good poster to accompany the win too, probably the best of the lot. Kudos. That map spread is something too. The rest of the results, while immaterial, was nice to see Nanami ending up with ...

Re: RESULTS: 2014 Postseason 9
Congratulations to both Kotori and Mashiro for reaching the 2014 ISML Tiara Final. It is exciting to know we will definitely get a new champion this year. Unfortunately, I don't really care for either girl, and may even abstain (I have to vote for Shiro, so I'm turning up at least). I dropped DAL af...

Re: 2014 Postseason Phase II Day 4 Campaign Thread
Vote 4 ARAGAKI AYASE! http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/188/c/6/ayase_aragaki_by_king91om-d6bstbf.png The biggest underdog remaining in the final 4 has risen from the ashes of Tier 7 ISML 2013 into a Tiara contender. Still, she has no necklace and this may really be her last chance. Her rise i...

Oh wow, those graphs. Be interesting to see what happens now that Asuna fans will likely drop the tourney (like last year).
Also, I didn't realise the semis are on different days. Interesting.

Re: RESULTS: 2014 Postseason 7
Hmm, I dunno, mixed feelings on the results. Too bad Nanami lost. I'd be overall fine if Kanade wasn't there, then we'd have an interesting semis set-up. As is, it is still so hard to not see Kanade winning. Otherwise I think the results were very cool, some nice close matches too. The increase in v...

Re: [Nominate] Exhibition - Summer 2014
I expect the best anime of our generation to garner serious votes. RAIL WARS 4 LIFE! Who knew such a humble story of train stuffs could showcase such well executed drama and characters. Truly a special show. I'm joking I have to say, I love Sakura Chiyo as much as the next guy, but I'm surprised sh...
