nice. Like Wolfnagi says, it would be great to have exhibition posters from each year in separate websites.

Looking over 2009's posters made me remember why I raged at the RM faction so much.

It'd be rad to include a special section for bonus posters yeah, but a little correction: there were no exhibition posters (or much exhibition matches, for that matter) in the previous years. KholdStare did make a few troll bonus ones though.

Hmm. Easy to see which posters I like.
My favorites up to Ruby, choosing one from each period: 2 from 08, 2 from 09, 2 from 10. :p

Yeah, the exhibition posters are unofficial. We'll let those be a forum exclusive.

Would you like it if there were a section called "Exhibition Gallery" under the contestant slot and place all of the exhibition posters there?

For 2011, exhibition posters are now slightly more official than what they used to be a year ago. They'll be listed in the Exhibition Directory at the bottom.

http://www.internationalsaimoe.com/cont ... bition.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Aquamarine is a bracelet but other Periods will have other items.

Other items, eh? That sounds interesting. Is there/will there be a reason/story behind each item (lore connected to the gemstones if you will), or were/are they chosen at random?

By the way, on the Exhibition Directory page, I counted eight poster placeholders. Does that imply that there's something planned for the post season as well? ;)

No lore for now as far as I know. Something could happen later, or, since this was partly your original idea, propose something. Maybe take it over to Ithekro and co. in the space opera; that place needs a bit more energy.

I have an idea for postseason but have no clue as to whether or not it will actually happen. Probably won't know until the break just before the postseason when we have time and a better outlook to consider it.

Boy, I really need to learn to keep my questions to myself. It only makes things worse. :P
I'll certainly ask ithekro about it. Not sure if I have any ideas myself at the moment, but we'll see.

I hope they are intended. At least, that is what I believe. It did not happen last year, but hopefully it is happening now. I love the Miku poster, by the way. Awesome job there.

Exhibition matches can be used to test voter awareness of other characters not currently participating in ISML. This grants exposure for more obscure characters or series, and the matches can be used to estimate how popular a character might be in future ISML tournaments. But I think one major purpose of exhibition matches is to simply grow the ISML community and have fun while doing it.
