Banners for ISML 2012

Update [Feb 2012]: Front-page banner submissions are closed for the 2012 season. Thanks so much, and we'll see all of you again in 2013. Blog-sized buttons and mini-banners are open year-round, since more is better for getting the word out among anime communities and giving blog owners a variety to choose from.

We have a rotating banner system at the top of the ISML pages. You can help contribute to it!

• Dimensions are 988x140 pixels.
• Must have the phrase "International Saimoe League 2012" on it.
• Must have the official ISML logo.
• Don't show any character's eyes, if any are present.
• Keep these relatively abstract, neutral, and anonymous. Using pretty backgrounds is encouraged.
• No prominent quotes. But if your design includes random words and phrases in the background, that should be fine.
• Keep the corners clear of text or logos. Leave about 10px of space.

The fonts used in the PSD are "Segoe Print" and "Brush Script Std."

Not every submission will be accepted, but all contributors should do their very best! ^_^

Nice variety Lighteningsky. I like how your first banner has more "breathing space" than the others.

This really gets me fired up for the new season.

@Crisu Don't know if that's intentional, but there still seems to be at least one 2011 banner in rotation.

I like the seasonal themes that each of your banners hold and your use of text positioning is great! But you may want to watch the quality of the images of the banners, they seem a little blurry -- and did ImageShack resize your banners? The dimensions should be 988x140!

Random commentary and attempt to guess some of the characters in the banners:

#3. Yayoi Takatsuki...and Chihaya Kisaragi? I'm sure about the first one since I can easily recognize Yayoi's hairstyle, but not so much the second one.

And your first banner is that of Mio? What the? When did? AFAIK, I only rarely saw Mio wearing a ponytail in the series proper, but until you mentioned it was her, I didn't recognize her in that banner!

#3. Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi. The Mitakihara Junior High uniforms were the giveaway.
#4. Latooni Subota? The facial structure and hairstyle has led me to believe it's her. But I've never seen Latooni wear a kimono, even in fanart...

#1. Hinagiku Katsura? Long pink hair. And she wore an elegant gothic lolita dress in one pagebreak of the manga.

I think the other girl was Iori... And yeah guessing Mio is hard, in this picture you can't really recognize her.

1 and 3 are correct, 4 is a good guess.
