Hikarin's Overhaul of Unnecessary Graphics

Hi, guys! I think this is my post to get myself back into the forums. I've been on a weird absence since May, when my house was broken into, laptop was stolen and I lost all my resources and graphics. As a result, I was really unmotivated to work and my posters have been lacking while I try to get back into the gist of things. I realize that my lack of quality posters have ticked off Teiba, but... my goal here isn't to be making graphics for Teiba to enjoy, but for everyone as a whole.

As for you guys here, if you happen to hate my work, then that's fine too. But I promise I'll continue striving to improve. And for me, I want to motivate myself by posting the things I've made here in 2014. I love seeing everyone's graphics here and it always gives me the feeling of wanting to continue doing my best. So thank you to all of you out there. And for those who say "I can't make avatars/posters/etc. for any of the contests!"... we all started somewhere, and you should too. Always give it your best shot!

also I don't think anyone could ever hate your banners/posters Hikarin. If so they have no sense of great art or else they are just jealous.

I realise that I still have some way to go before I can make signature banners like that :3 - but I guess that's also why my signature is still under construction (tbh I can't seem to find the time to make a great signature... I'm lost for ideas and I never seem to be satisfied with the result when I'm done making it)

thank you so much, i'm really glad! i also remember your suigintou poster and i really liked that a lot. I think your signature is a good start! If it helps any, my signature is partially gif and so i cropped it so that I wouldn't lose any quality with the parts that aren't animated, since gif tends to lower quality if there are too many colors and suck. So it's good to keep that in mind! You'll definitely make wonderful signatures in the future once you get inspiration, I'm sure of it!!

Sometimes I'm not satisfied either, but it's good to have the .psd or gimp file so you can always go back and make improvements if you get an idea.

Thank you! I missed everyone here too, it's been a long time since I've really gotten to talk to anyone from the forums. Um, they didn't, but I have a slight suspicion that one of my neighbors was in on it because her story didn't really match up to the situation. In short, she was home but apparently didn't hear our house being broken into, even though the houses are like townhouses, where they're stuck together. But there was no proof of it, so... yeah, it's okay though!

I know that M-J and Kholdy were the only other people involved in poster-making for both Exhibition and Necklaces, but I won't disclose who made which one unless they're okay with it!

I know you've been quite troubled by some of the voices from Tieba, but you really don't need to put too much attention to that. Criticism shall be taken in, true, as motivation to continue improving yourself, but there are also bound to be some unreasonable ones who pick fault no matter what you do. Don't let those discourage you, as when those exist, there're always other people who are grateful for what you've done and know to appreciate. And it's for them that's worth you working hard for.

You've been working on posters for quite a few years. Some look great, some look less so. But summed up? I believe every one here in the Community know what you deserve. Just continue along your path, reflecting upon your past work and striving to improve. We trust you as our friend, our Graphics designer, our moe moe Hikarin. You have our support.

Your works are so nice and I like them very much. So sad that my skill still have a long way to go. As for Tieba, don't mind them as most people there just know how to complain almost everything. Just keep your good work up, people in this forum all appreciate your art works.
