I have two interests: anime, and racing simulations.

This thread shows what I do when I combine both into a strange, bizarre, but in my opinion, unique fusion of anime flair and simracing openness of sorts.

Currently, I've painted only one of 32 planned cars for my little "ISML-GT" project. It is some hand-picked ISML contestants from the 2009 tournament, driving racing versions of sports cars. Personalities (and of course, cars!) collide, cars will get written off, and only one can rise above all the other drivers! Could be fun to watch given all the different characters present. I might even begin writing race reports and team backstories or something if the interest is somehow there.

Below is a list of planned/completed drivers and teams, as well as some short background info on each of the teams.

NOTE: The list is NOT final in ANY way.

NOTE2: If you are requesting for a team, there are rules which must be followed:
The pairing must meet at least one of the requirements...

• two girls from the same series of anime (ie. see teams list below)
• two girls are from the same animation studio (ie. Ayu and Kyou would be okay, but Shana and Fate would NOT)
• FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.

You can also request for...

• Specific car numbers if any number happens to be significant for a character
• Specific livery colours, ie "White" for Nanoha Takamachi
• Specific design styling, ie "Stars everywhere" for Fuuko Ibuki

  Car: Aston Martin DBRS9
  Shana, the ultra-aggressive flame haze, and her apprentice, Taiga Aisaka. For most tsundere fans, this seems like a dream duo. Indeed, it is, but here's to praying their poor DBRS9s can withstand the punishment these two sometimes force onto the cars... and that it doesn't rain.

  Rin Tosaka's got an aggressive competitive edge, Pendragon/Saber's colder than absolute zero behind the wheel. Two completely opposite drivers, but will it be in their advantage?

  Car: BMW M3 GTR (2003)
  A "team" in the loosest sense - bound by their own grudges against each other, this team was formed on a very unstable foundation - can they just get along enough to make sure everyone crosses the finish line, or will the team infighting be so intense that nobody will be left running?

  With Legendary Girl A as a driver, would you believe it if I said she drives as good as Keiichi Tsuchiya? Probably not, but you can bet some nice money this team will be looking to be threatening for podium places now and then.

  Car: Ferrari F430 GT
  A champ and the infamous "White Devil" - a team whose presence dominates the front row of the grid. However great they may be however, for some strange reason they have no real specialty area. Being well-rounded however, it would be nearly impossible for them to come dead last.

  A team containing a contrast of fiery duo of Kyou and Tomoyo, considered one of the stronger teams in previous years.

  Car: Dodge Viper Competition Coupe
  Hinagiku may be crowned with the 2009 ISML tiara, but can she take home the championship in Saimoe GT? Given, her teammate Nagi's not going to be of much use to her - Sanzenin was a bit rough coming out of the Saimoe Racing Academy. Still though, this team looks to threaten for higher-up points positions.

  A team in a major slump, and in huge financial trouble - the fate of this team lies entirely on Ayu's shoulders.
  (Quit spending all the money that goes to repairs and testing on taiyaki, Ayu!)

  Suzumiya Super Racing Brigade (SSR Brigade)
  Car: Porsche 997 GT3-RSR
  The SSR Brigade are arguably one of the strongest teams in Saimoe GT. Both of their drivers are tops in racing, rain or shine, but with stiff competition from Scuderia Testarossa and AMR Team JC Staff, their path to final victory this season will not be an easy one.

  Car: Panoz Esperante GTLM
  Said to be the most aggressive out of all the Saimoe GT teams, it may appear to the pure racing fans that this team is out more for wreaking pure havoc and chaos on the track, rather than actually racing. Can this team stomp out all the opposition, or will they be "taken home"?

  A former champion and a rookie. It seems that with such a strong set of competitors you'd think poor Sakura would get blown out of the water. But remember that Sakura was one of the first champions - there is always the possibility she and Chii can beat the odds and rise out on top.

NUUUUUUUUUUU HINA GOT LEFT OUT I have an idea: Replace Tomoyo with Mei in Team Clannad, and have Hinagiku and Tomoyo form the Team Student Council Presidents XD

Next car done is Kyou Fujibayashi's 350Z.

She's quite a fast and aggressive driver; rocketing her way to the front is a common sight if disaster strikes her in qualifying. Her aggression as a driver however isn't always good - her car often takes a battering in the process.

or are you limited in the models of cars that you can do these on?

Although there are add-ons that add GT-Rs, Evos, and Supras (in seperate mods), it would take way too much time for me to get them fairly balanced with the NAGP GT-2 carpack that I used as a base for the cars used for "Saimoe GT". I could probably replace one of the older GT cars (TVR T400R or the Ferrari 360) with the Evolution and GT-R, but I don't guarantee it.

All of team CLANNAD's 350Zs are done - they all share the same basic scheme but with some minor differences.

The team is unsurprisingly aggressive when you've got Kyou and Tomoyo as leading drivers. With that kind of influence, even the most gentle of the team's drivers (Nagisa and Kotomi) seem to have a thing for battering around the pack if they run out of room. Tomoyo's even thrown some of her weight around Nayuki Minase, ripping off Nayuki's rear wing in an exhibition race Put Shana and the Rozen Maiden girls in a race with this team and we'll be seeing sparks fly and tempers FLARE!!

Un-close-to-finalised the teams roster.
It has been updated in accordance to the "Qualified entrants to ISML 2010" list, to make it more in line with the actual ISML tournament for this year.

Major regulation change;
No more varied size teams! This leaves four pairingteam slots open and makes it MUCH easier to have a teams championship. It is you, the forumgoers who get to determine who will get behind the wheel of these very fine cars! First come first served, might be good to hurry.
