Not particularly. Ami put up a similar performance against Ayu as she did against Kotomi. Before Amethyst 6, Kotomi had fallen about to Ayu's level in my stats. To me it doesn't make any sense that Kotomi would be anywhere near Ayu, but that's how badly Kotomi had been doing. Ami has been performing at roughly the level level for Amethyst 4, 5 and 6.

Then BS I see here is Shana vs Kotomi. Even in the early, normal looking Amethyst matches Kotomi wasn't anywhere near Shana in power. It's been a month since Kotomi had enough power to threaten Shana. Also the sudden shift in Amethyst 3 and onward didn't seem to affect Shana much until Amethyst 6. Even assuming Kotomi's loss to Ami was garbage and Kotomi had not taken a sudden dive in power, it doesn't explain how she got this close to Shana.

I have a theory, but that's all it is. And a pretty farfetched one at that.

Kotomi was intentionally anti-voted by the RM faction to make her seem very weak, so when her match with Shana arrived, Kotomi could power up to Shana's level because the RM faction decided to vote Kotomi for the first time.

And that's what I was trying to say. Ami only won because she had their support. The same can be said about Nagi. I mean, she didn't have these kinds of numbers, even vs. competition like Akari - I don't see how she's capable of pulling them off vs. Fate.

Konata > Sakura(barely) and Yuki > Tsukasa(not by much) are two other's I see.

These results are a slap in the face. The only relief though, is that the RM faction still cannot screw Shana and Fate out of nowhere with mid-tiered contestents.

But they're close.

It is interesting that Yuki gets 400 votes less than Haruhi or Mikuru. Though Tsukasa gets about 200 more votes than Rena so the differnce is 200 or so votes total. Still, 200 votes is a bit. Can this be waved off as people not wanting to take sides between two KyoAni products? No caring about either character enough to vote for either of them? Or something sinister? The first two make more sense than the last one...but you can't tell around here anymore...not when tactical voting is becoming normal for long term goals.


Haruhi currently has the Unofficial Belt if I recall. Also she's the only one open to the tiera at present due to her being the only undefeated girl currently.

Reimu over Louise I can see happening. There is still some discontent over Louise and some people just aren't into overly violent tsunderes (S&M borderline).

Nanoha vs. Kagami
Amu vs. Yuuhi
Yami vs Hayate

The last two I just gave Amu and Hayate too much credit because of what I saw last match.

...But I did predict all the major upsets, and I really thought they would support Nanoha. I guess they're waiting for Amethyst 9.
