Once again, there will be three categories in this contest. You may participate in all three categories, but there is a limit for each category, so beware of that. You need Photoshop to participate in two of the categories since the poster template is in a PSD format. Other than that, anyone can participate regardless of experience. Like many forum art contests, you can post your drafts for other people to comment on. (Civil and constructive comments only! No flaming or thrash others' work.) Without further ado, here are the categories.

Fonts and Plugins

• First, please download this font if you are going to make a poster:

Category #1: Amethyst Brooch

Using the attached template and font, create a poster of Kagura. Make sure the EXHIBITION layer is turned on inside the Text group. You may move the ISML 2011 logo and the EXHIBITION text around as needed so that it does not obstruct your image, but try not to resize them. Don't compare yours to the official poster and just try your best.

You may submit one entry for this category.

Category #2: Exhibition Winners

Using the attached template and font, create a poster of Arurū, Sōryū Asuka Langley, Sakurazaki Setsuna, Hyūga Hinata, Shirakawa Kotori, Haibara Ai. Make sure you change the name, and if you are making a poster for Arurū, then reposition the name layer appropriately. Make sure the EXHIBITION layer is turned on inside the Text group. You may move the ISML 2011 logo and the EXHIBITION text around as needed so that it does not obstruct your image, but try not to resize them.

You may submit six entries for this category for six separate characters.

If you're using GIMP, then to add the name of your characters, do this:

1) Change the text of the NAME HERE layer to your character's name (in upper case)
-Font: Neuropol X Free, Size: 20 px, Line Spacing: 12 px, Character Spacing: -1 px, Hinting OFF, Color: FFEDF6
2) Notice the NAME HERE-outerglow layer that used to provide the glow for NAME HERE
3) Delete the NAME HERE-outerglow layer
4) While the NAME HERE layer is selected, go to Script-Fu -> Layer Effects -> Outer Glow
-Color: 992C90, Opacity: 75.0, Spread: 20.0, Size: 3.0, everything default, click OK

Now notice that a new layer has been created below the NAME HERE layer. If you change the name again, you'll have to go through the same process.

Category #3: Sapphire Promotions

Make a 350 x 140 support signature for any of the girls that will be exhibited in Sapphire, listed below. The signature should include: 1) one character only, 2) the word vote or support, 3) the character's name, 4) International Saimoe League. A tip would be to use small fonts for the "International Saimoe" text and bigger fonts for "vote" or "support." Here is an example of what I want, although once again, don't think yours have to be as good as that and try your best.

By the way, shouldn't Category #3 be Sapphire Promotions?

This was the only discernable pattern I could find. Although, I'm sure there were other considerations for exhibition choices, but for at least a few characters, that pattern had fit so far.

Edit: Replacing my Kagura entry with something a little bit different. Of course, my Sakura poster was also different and it didn't fair well, but even so, I think this new one of Kagura would do better than what I had previously... maybe...

That pattern fits for Aquamarine and Topaz group matches, but so far it looks like none of of Amethyst group winners or runner-ups got into Sapphire...

I can see the aquamarine ones got blue/green/aqua coloured hair.
Amethyst characters are all female characters from Shonenman.

same, the first looks better.. It gives off a feeling of authority, making viewers say *wow!* and *Yes! I will follow you*, or something like that..
