Anyone for Shana 3 peat? Or Akiyama Mio to claim one in preparation for the upcoming DE? Or someone totally out of blue? People in past have screamed for Shana getting the Ruby, but I will put my support for the candidate with the best Cheer line , so give it your best shot.

My stats currently have Shana winning the ~~Sapphire Emerald~~ Ruby necklace in a landslide victory. I'll reassess the situation later but right now my plan is to sit back and watch Shana win the necklace since... wait Shana actually isn't the favorite this time. I'm currently hoping Mio takes the Ruby necklace. It's not too likely but I wouldn't mind Shana winning the Ruby Necklace for once.

Now that the schedule is out, it's kind of discouraging to know that Mio and Shana is projected to win 5 out of 7 necklaces

I am getting a bit confused...I have been SENSING mixed reactions on who will be Miss Ruby 2010! Some say it's Mio, and others say "Shana for 5-time necklace winner" or Hina Katsura! Well...like what I said, I DO NOT CARE who wins this necklace! The tiara is much more important! If it's Shana for Ruby 2010, THEN IT IS SHANA! If Mio or anyone else for Ruby 2010, IT IS YOUR POISONOUS PICK! That is the rule of a "Pick Your Poison" intuition when deciding a factor...(personally, I am mostly expecting Mio get a 2nd necklace)

Personally, I think Hinagiku, with her naturally bright pink hair, fits Ruby better than Shana with fire powers.

Ruby stands for passion more than flames in my book. I haven't seen Shana's show, but Hina definitely has the passion aspect down.

Ok, so IF we discuss the probables, then following 6 is the ones that have good chance of going undefeated

Akiyama Mio ( If she beats Aisaka Taiga which may be harder than it seems statistically )
Shana ( If she beats Katsura Hinagiku which no one yet has been able to for the last 10 month )
Nagato Yuki ( would be small miracle if she don't )
Misaka Mikoto ( very likely )

Nakano Azusa , won't be able to upset Mio in my opinion.

I perceive Suzumiya Haruhi as a dark horse for she is going against Katsura Hinagiku, and Haruhi is one of the few not to lose to Hinagiku last year. If Haruhi pulls off a miracle upset over Hinagiku, she may have Four 5 win contestants as her opponent, thus good chance for the necklace.

Some key matches might be Sakagami Tomoyo vs Suzumiya Haruhi for SDO boost for Misaka Mikoto, Fujibayashi Kyo vs Sengoku Nadeko for Nagato Yuki, Hiiragi Kagami vs Shiina Mafuyu and also Tohsaka Rin for Shana, and Furukawa Nagisa vs Fate/Kyo/Illya for Akiyama Mio. Of course, you can't really predict which will be important until 6th round match results are announced.

As for now, I believe the following 4 matches for the Ruby 1 to have greatest implications for the necklace

Suzumiya Haruhi vs Katsura Hinagiku : Haruhi has chance for necklace if she keeps her unbeaten streak against Hinagiku. Hinagiku must demonstrate dominance if she were to make people believe she has a chance against Shana.

Izumi Konata vs C.C. : Konata's win can boost Yuki's chance. C.C.'s win may help Taiga win the necklace if Taiga pulls miracle upset over Mio

Hiiragi Tsukasa vs Kawashima Ami : Ami's win helps Yuki. Tsukasa's win helps Shana

Louise vs Kusieda Minori : Louise's win helps Mio. Minori's win helps Taiga.

After Ruby 1, We will at least knock off Hinagiku or Haruhi from list of probables for the necklace. I expect us to keep knocking off about 1 per every round result from that point.

Most importantly, however, No one gave good enough punchline for their character and the Ruby, yet.

There is no my favorite char in top tier, so i don't care who will win, but I'll support Shana cuz it will be amusingly - three times winner and owner of 5 necklaces
