Game: 2012 Moe Draft [Discussion Thread]

If you've been on MAL, AnimeSuki or other anime-related forums, you probably saw threads or groups that let you "claim" characters.

Drafting
-This will be similar, but instead of coming in and claiming characters on a 'first come, first serve' basis, we will be conducting a draft with a randomized order*1
-The draft will consist of 8 rounds in serpentine order that will be held in 2 phases (round 1~4 and 5~8) where a new draft order is determined.
-This season, we will have a limit of 30 slots (240 picks)
-During your turn, you will have a 24-hour (36-hour if you have a double pick) window to make your pick. After 24 hours, your turn will be skipped and your pick will be moved to the end of the round.
-You can also send me, or one of the assistant commishs (TBD), a queue list where, after 24 hours, we will select the highest available character on your list.
-When drafting, list the character's full name and anime/manga they are from. [i.e. Pick #1: Sendou Erika (Fortune Arterial)]
-For the sake of speeding things up, please PM the person following you after making your pick.

Trading
-Trading is allowed, but you must always end up with the same number of picks/characters (8 slots) after a trade.

Illegal TradeShow

Example 1: Shana for 2nd round pick + 3rd round pick

Legal TradeShow

Example 2: Shana + 8th round pick for 2nd round pick + 3rd round pick

-You may trade any number of picks or characters at a time as long as you end up with 8 slots for your team.
-When two people agree to a trade, BOTH players must PM kanohistorm who will then announce the trade in the proper thread
- For this season, three-way trading will not be allowed.

Character Eligibility
Characters are not restricted to those in regular season or preliminaries.
All female characters are eligible if they have appeared in a manga or anime that is listed on MAL

ummm...you get to select your 'inherit' your favourite characters. But instead of just choosing someone right away, it is done in an orderly fashion.
You get to select 8 characters to be part of your team
