Hello. Im currently writing an adventure story in my free time and would like your help filling up the world with characters as they require. Sometimes I need party members, other times a town with npcs and leadership. I could use a generator, but I believe seeking your input would help create a much more vibrant world with various personalities and motives. I may also consult you from time to time on what direction your created character would wish to take the story (in line with personal goal or self interests)

The story takes place in a town following a decently sized earthquake. Following the aftermath of clearing wreckage and repairing damaged buildings, scouts from the army reported the discovery of a cave entrance in the mountains. The majority of the army currently have the hands full dealing with the aftermath and so the Popa (king and religious leader of the empire) greenlights a plan to draft adventurers to explore the newly discovered cavern.

Staff Sargent Hemsky was ordered to lead the group and Gamit, a dwarf who lives under an assumed identity, seized on the chance to work favors with the army and officials in hopes to be granted legitimate papers.

Interested adventurers may now fill in this questionnaire to the Staff Sargent and be ready to report for duty tomorrow morning, 0600 sharp.

Name:
Gender:
Race and Alignment:
Class/Occupation & Rank/Specialty (if any)
Expertise: (up to 3)
Fear/weakness (if any):
Hidden Agenda: (could be a simple personal goal)
----------------------
At this time, I would prefer to keep evil aligned characters to a minimum or none at all. You will have the chance to create evil and mischievous characters in the (hopefully) near future
For expertise, you do not need to list the obvious unless you are particularly good at it. It can be assumed that a Big Game Hunter is knowledgeable in tracking and/or trapping. A thief is good at stealing, but his preferred methods may be based on his skill set (disguising for example)
I will be deciding on your starting equipment, but feel free to indicate your preference if it is not obvious from your class.
Other than that, I want to leave this pretty open to you guys, though I may pm you to refine or scale some details)

How many characters you plan to have, dear kano?
I mean: how many main? how many supporting? etc.
I want to know how many characters I can make.

also: do you intend to put romance in this?

whoa this Alex has the smell of a villain all over him, btw.

One character per person for now as there is limited spots in the party (6-8max I suppose).
Townspeople you may be allowed more when we get there.

Also, Alex can't be bad from the onset due to his alignment. A very convincing case of deception or magic needs to be used for him to flip sides. (Or from continuous degradation of his morals due to events x,y, and z)

Sent. Thank you, and good luck, Kano.

ps.: I know lol. It's just that his motive has evil written all over him. Since, you know: Lawful Good characters usually talk about protecting the people as a whole, or to save lives. Not something as self centered as money or family.
(If he's Neutral Good, I would buy the family motive.)

This mission plot is essentially the same as the one I've been running for a group of my buddies for a few months now, in 5th edition D&D. I definitely have some NPCs to contribute, later.

I notice a "Races" tab in the application. What's the limitations to race? I'm assuming we're using a standard fantasy setting

all DnD races are valid. You are free to make a new one so long it makes sense

example: zombie probably not unless you can convince me that this particular one has intelligence. A Wright on the other hand, can think for oneself and interact with others (probably)

The party has reached the minimum member it required for this contract. The rest has ~24hours to submit a character if they desire

Name: Droop
Gender: M
Race and Alignment: Goblin, Lawful Neutral
Class/Occupation & Rank/Specialty (if any): Cleric of Illmater
Expertise: (up to 3): Sneaking, Survival, and Medicine
Fear/weakness (if any): Bugbears and other large goblinoids
Hidden Agenda: (could be a simple personal goal): Prevent oppression wherever possible
why a lawful goblinShow
I've been using Droop as a reoccurring NPC in every adventure I've DM'd for this year. In the first adventure with him, the party saved him from some angry bugbears and basically adopted him into the party. Later, a total party wipe happened, but Droop managed to finish off the final enemy. Droop was able to trade his own life for that of two party members, and Illmater took notice. Illmater took Droop unto his own hands, and split iterations of Droop's self throughout the multiverse with a mindset very similar to the one in the application above.
If this is too ridiculous, it's totally cool if you don't want to accept this one.

If you saw my post on the depressed cause shit happened thread, my computer got gg'd shortly after making this. I would love to reboot this project in the future though if time permits (asia = 6day workweek yayyyy)

For the record, i had about 1.5 quests done at the time of computer gging... Which would had been far enough to hint at the title
