Welcome to the 9th annual ISML Forum Saimoe tournament!
Last year, 32 contestants fought bravely for the Heavenly Cookie. In the end, WoodyMC took home the esteemed dessert~
This year, with new faces emerging and old faces returning to the stage yet again, who will be crowned the next ISML Forum Saimoe champion?

Forum members will nominate other members to participate in this tournament. To turn in a nomination ballot, please follow the rules listed below.

Please note that if you have registered for the forum on 1 September 2019 or later, or never interacted in ISML community by that date, you are not eligible to vote or nominate in the tournament.

To nominate: Send your list of up to seven members as a PM to houreki

Nomination rules:

• 1. The Nomination Period will last until September 15 2019, 9:00pm GMT -6.
  2. Each eligible forum member may nominate up to seven (7) eligible contestants via PM (forum or discord) to houreki.
  3. Eligible forum members are those who have Verified tag and who have registered prior to September 1st, 2019.
  4. Members who have been banned from the forum are not eligible to be nominated.
  5. You may nominate yourself.
  6. You may not nominate a single contestant multiple times.
  7. To avoid confusion, please use the official forum names instead of nicknames on your list (e.g.: maglor not madlor or moeglor). In the case of members whose names have been changed, any official forum name they have previously used will be accepted as a valid nomination, but for clarity's sake, please try to use their current username.
  8. You may always change your list by sending a new PM. Only your last PM (with a list) will count.
  9. Invalid nominations will be discarded individually and will not void the entire ballot unless the maximum limit of seven (7) is breached.
  10. At the end of the Nomination Period, the contestants with the most nominations will move on to the Group Stage. The number of contestants for the group stage will be determined after the nomination period ends.

Homura made a list of active forum members a while back in case you want to check some members, it may be useful to make sure you dont forget anyone!

Note: These members are not eligible for the tournament, so please do not include them in your list!

Chibasa, Toady, and HaloCapella are auto-qualified for this year, being last year's semifinalists.
3 auto qualified + 16 nominated contestants + 5 playoff contestants for a total of 24 contestants.

Tomorrow the Playoff match will be held at 9:00pm GMT -6 (time results usually come out) between members having 1 nomination.
Nominated and auto-qualified contestants may not drop out from this point onward.

Group stage will consist of 6 groups with 4 members each. To determine the groupings, I will be holding a drawing on ISML's Discord server on 27 September, 10 pm UTC -6.
Contestants are seeded into 4 pots based on nomination results, playoff votes, and user activity. Each group will contain 1 contestant from each pot.
The drawing will be held on the #yui channel.

For example, if you guess Homura will finish 2nd of his group, it indicates 1.7 points.
So you will earn 1.7 points for each coin you bet on this option.



Consider voting each group one by one:
- You can bet 4 coins/group.
- You can bet up to 4 coins on same option.
- No restrictions about how you allocate your coins inside the group.
