My throat hurts.. Whenever I cough it feels like my whole throat and chest is burning.
Just my luck that I'd fall so ill during my probation period too.. so even if I wanted to rest at home, I can't.

Adol: I've been dealt a nasty hand myself with physical and mental problems that have gotten worse over the years, though at least the hand was dealt to me softly. I had to quit work, college, and my main hobbies. I have to avoid and offend people all the time because of my hypersensitivities. I develop negative mental associations with things that are really dear to me. I'm so tired sometimes that it literally hurts and breaks my spirit. It's a really messed up situation. I am lucky to have a healthy tenacity most of the time, though. I understand that not everybody has that. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say. But anybody who has to go through the backwards bullshit of conditions like these and those has my sympathy and support. I understand that sometimes there is no way out, and that not every cloud has a silver lining. Personally, for me, though, I'll keep looking for my way out, my way forward or upward or wherever the hell is better than where I'm at right now.

Rev: I don't know what you mean about "bullshit new age peace movement stuff", but being able to appreciate the small matters in life is a wonderful thing (otherwise, why would I watch anime? ^_^) and is quite an old viewpoint.

Kiwigiwi: Three weeks, I think you said? That sounds really concerning. I hope you can see a doctor about it.

I am unable to quit that toxic job due to financial situations and no new job yet. My anxiety is getting worse due to that job.

@Grishie, I would like to remind you that no one will know you completely, even you yourself, so it's kinda a moot point to complain about people not knowing you that well, since there is no good way of telling who knows you well and who doesn't. I would recommend just enjoying the ride and not getting too smug about it, since popularity fades away. The main idea is how you can use it to your interest. Mind you your interest might be anything, including things not to your benefit. So what I'm trying to say is don't be emo about it, just enjoy it wisely. Also not knowing someone is a temporary thing, until you become friends or even closer.

People may ignore some aspects of who you are, but if they/we like aspects of personalities they/we know about you, it's quite a good thing. ~
It's not because we don't have full picture of who you are that our love for you is meaningless. (And maybe internet is a place where you can be more free to be who you truly wants to be, which can explain a tainted perception of others but also ourselves).

Also, nobody is perfect, you might dislike/hate some aspects of who you are, because you are self-aware of your flaws (which is a good thing); all what you can do is try to improve in aspects you wanna change.

I'm not enough aware about your life to make assumptions, but if some people are ready to live in the same appart/house as you: that may mean they accept you as a whole and think your flaws ain't much bothersome compare to happiness you bring in their life. At least, I have hard times thinking about people not liking you but wanting to live with you.

Just a little complement to exec's writing. If you believe you possess sharp eyes, and then believe you know someone well enough and you two are alike in core part of your personalities, try actively putting in great efforts (privately 1 on 1, preferably) building the relationship. Once you own a couple of such deep relationship (with people who are not your siblings), the long lasting satisfaction would let you not bother about that your current problem anymore, unless you are a very rare type that is extremely hard to be satisfied in human relations (hmm in fact this could be your actual problem, but I feel the possibility is low). Additionally, I like how exec said "use it to your interest".

A short term solution to your problem is to have a good sleep lol

I'm back after a hiatus of something like a year haha <3 but things have been hard recently.
I don't know what to do anymore. I'm studying BDS (Bachelors in Dental Surgery) and I'm almost done with my first year- but I'm not sure if it's something I want to do for myself or something that my family chose for me. I mean, I'm certainly not unhappy about doing it to the extent where I want to drop out- but it doesn't make me happy either. I have friends who are pursuing careers like photography and music- pursuing things they genuinely like- and I've realized that I'm the only one in my circle of friends from school who isn't doing something they like. The thing is that even if I told my parents that dentistry isn't making me happy, I wouldn't be able to tell them what makes me happy because I kind of... don't know.
And I've lost interest in a bunch of things that I used to like- including anime and gaming and writing and reading and I just don't know why this is happening. There's just very little that makes me happy. It's like everything is spinning out of control and I don't know what to do.

welp, what you are experiencing is called life, some people call it differently, but basically you have too much on your plate that's why you lose interest in doing anything. Key here is to sit down and have some time to think about what you are doing and what you want to do. The problem is usually after that you need to actually start doing it, it's called responsibility, because you can't do everything and please everyone. You need to have your own priorities and be able to follow them through. So think carefully about what you want to do, what you need to do and what you want to achieve.
So have a good think and we'll be waiting for you.
