All right guys, I have an announcement to make regarding Anime Expo 2012.
As a staff member for the con, I am offering a complimentary badge to the first person that sends me a PM. I will relay this information to my manager, who, hopefully, will have you down for a 4-Day extravaganza in Los Angeles. (X-Games not included. That is separate.)
It's simple! Send me:
Name (First, Last)
Nickname
Email
Easy! Once again, first person to send me these three info gets to go to the con! Good luck!
I look forward to seeing who else plans on going I'm fully ready to go for the first time ever this year, which will also make my first convention experience. It would be nice to meet up with some fellow ISML members.

Yes, that's the plan! I've already registered and purchased accommodations. I'm still hoping to maybe get a trustworthy female roommate to split the room cost, but that'll be a tedious process in itself ><

I don't know the sexes of most of my fellow ISML mates unless they're staff :p And even then, sometimes I get it wrong.
Room situation is still up in the air, since I'm about 75% sure I'm going. I need to defend my thesis first, so I can use AX as a self-treat afterward ^^
If any females are going and interested in trying to split cost on a room, feel free to PM me and we can chit-chat about it.
AX is quickly approaching, and if you haven't already purchased tickets for your favorite performance, you'll want to jump on that before they're all sold out!
The schedule has also just been released (with tons of lag, so maybe wait until later in the day to check out).
Someone directed me to this topic and just putting out that I'm attending this year so I'd love to meet up with ISML enthusiasts (even though I don't think I could call myself that anymore, orz)
Marinara, I can't offer you a room but have you checked the room sharing thread on the AX site here?. Your post was a month and a half ago though, but if you haven't found a place yet that's always an option. The forums are useful to browse through for tips and such, especially since it's your first time. I've been to AX (and SD Comic Con) a few times and my advice is to know that not everything will go to plan no matter how well prepared you are (still sad I missed out on getting a Yui Horie autograph ;_;) , but as long as you take everything in stride and be flexible you'll definitely have a great time!
Free on any time at Day 1 or 2 expect during FictionJunction's concert. Hachiko, if you possibly have a lunch break in between shifts, it may be possible that we can set up a time around those times.
@ppizzapie and Momento10 Maybe we could do breakfast or lunch or something? I don't know the area at all, so I don't really know a place to meet around the con that is afforadable. My hotel is in Little Tokyo and I've heard there are some great restaurants there, like the Curry House. We could even just do coffee or something at a Starbucks or some other coffee house.
If anyone is going to Yuki Kajiura or LiSA's concerts, I'd be up for waiting together in line.
@Hachiko: Even though you say you can be found at the AX shuttle section, does that mean you'll have some free time? If not, then I'll definitely still swing by to say hi
