Just launched Steam in order to install Hawken since the game's devs decided to migrate fully to Steam. I'm still not that happy about the decision (due to the lack of options). Now remember how I've been having issues with Steam for the last nine months or so? Well, when I launched Steam just now, it downloaded and installed an update. Just for kicks, I decided to try launching Left 4 Dead 2, expecting it to still fail. But amazingly enough, the game actually launched! So this latest update (which was released on the 27th of last month) fixed my issue. And I was prepared to reinstall Windows if I couldn't access Hawken. I'm so happy I can access my games again. Hopefully, the new Steam install of Hawken will go smoothly. I'll have to try that out tomorrow though.
And Hawken works without a hitch. :)

Better situation for me than I've been in for awhile. Been having trouble lately due to not having a job (had to go on unemployment just to get by) and not being able to afford college (planned on going for photography), but I budgeted my money enough to where I discovered I can save up for a professional camera in a few month's time, so I can start getting better quality pictures by summer and maybe actually start marketing them finally.

I don't think I even want to shuffle them. I'm still staring at them in awe.

Do I need gloves to deal with these?

(They shuffle admirably. Same as most Pokemon sleeves, if not slightly better).

Most official Pokémon sleeves, at least as far as I've used, haven't really shuffled good IMO. I usually tend to just stick with Pro-mattes or Ultra Pros, though it helps to put some of the tight-fit sleeves on so you have double.

But yeah, those look nice. I'm assuming by Pokémon sleeves you meant the ones you can't get here in Amercia, right?

If you plan to use them, look to get oversleeves. Kmc works wonders at 3bucks a pack while ultrapro ones arent as good. Also for oversleevees, plain ones last much longer than ones with patterns on them (ie: sao ones)

I can't use oversleeves for these, since they're for vanguard cards. Vanguard has a 2 sleeve limit, which would mean Vanguard sleeve > Kuroneko sleeves. Essentially these would be my oversleeves.

I could just put the vanguard cards in the kuroneko sleeves but that doesnt work that well

Oh, then in that case...there isn't much you can do when playing.
But storage wise, take precaution to keep them away from hot or humid places- especially in the summer (location dependent).
Anime sleeves degrades much faster than plain sleeves- but with proper care, they can last for over half a year even when used.
Plus, when it does come time to unfortunately replace them, you can use the same sleeves for card storage

The last of my Pokemon cards just came in the mail! I am now 100% set and ready for States...even Regionals, perhaps. With the way the current meta is shaping up, my deck is such a meta-counter it's ridiculous.

I finished an essay in one night! 2000 word IB Philo paper with the theme What is a Human Being. My topic of choice? Kokoro Connect, believe it or not. I hope those uppity professors in Geneva can handle the anime awesomeness.
