Wow, that's a lot of eroge titles.
I think the only eroge I have is Tears to Tiara.

Wow, there are some hardcore fans of VN here °_°

I'm currently on Fate, which is quite good. Really more intersting than the anime, I should have tried it earlier.

Beside of that, I only finished Saya no Uta. Quite... disturbing, but great, really great.

Yeah, I don't consider completing only 1 VN to be of a hardcore level. o:
I played nearly ~40 hours on all 3 routes of F/SN btw.

I've played

- Utawarerumono
- Planetarian
- Fate/Stay Night (not done with Heaven's Feel)
- Part of Wanko to Kurasou
- Tears to Tiara
- Most of Tsukihime

I have Chaos;Head installed but I haven't touched it yet.

While I enjoy picking up VNs here and there I have a really short attention span for them. Hence why I have all those incomplete titles.

One thing I really want is a Little Busters EX patch but that's definitely not coming any time soon ;___;

Yep, that's the problem with VN, that's highly time-consuming. I still haven't finished the first route of Fate >.>
FNSNA wrote:o, Saya no Uta, someone recommended that to me, but I havent even try it yet
Then you should definitely give it a try. It's rather short, I think I finished it in 2 nights... I just couldn't stop reading.

:P :P
Don't worry with spending a long time before finishing Fate
I personally ponder for at least one year before finishing Fate route.
And yes FSN is really long per route.
Even though the plot is really good, its really long.
I'm still in the last route, after stop playing it for like 2 months

I haven't touched Ever17 in a few months either. :frown: I'm planning on burning through it during Spring Break.

It also helps that I've recently spoiled myself a little and discovered that the underlying plotline is damn impressive.

At least you can follow along playing normal LB! routes for now. :D

I haven't really played that many yet, but here's what I have:
In progress:
-Tears to Tiara
-Wind -a breath of heart (though when I say 'In Progress' for this one, I mean about five minutes worth of playing. Picked it up as it was made by the same company that made ef, but then I heard it wasn't that great and I've been too lazy to see if I might think differently)

Completed:
-Tsukihime
-Kagetsu Tohya
-Planetarian
-Fate/Stay Night
-Utawarerumono

Not much different from a lot of what's been posted here. ^^;
Recently, I started to look around for translations again, so maybe this thread will help me choose.
Eater-of-All wrote:I tend to avoid eroge though, as seen from all the non-H titles mentioned above.
I know that some of the translation patches have options to remove the H-content and if not, occasionally some other fan will have made one.

I've watched a good bit of VNs, from strategy RPGs like Utawarerumono to typical ones like Kana ~Imouto~ to just boring clicking like Planetarian. However, I'll have to say the my favorite of them all is Narcissu, a doujin VN actually. I can't say more without the risk of spoiling, but I'll say that if I rate VNs the same as anime, it would get a 10/10 from me.

Serious? If so, I will totally bow down to their awesomeness.

I've tried messing with Snow PE's image files once to try to locate and replace its H-CGs with a black screen. Let's just say I didn't experience the best of times with using RLDev. >_<

I don't think that's really surprising, given that I expect most (not all :p) of us can't play VNs in Japanese, and there really is a dearth of good translated VNs.

I've had Narcissu sitting on my hard drive for a few months and still haven't started it...I really should.

Eater, I'm not sure if you've played these (since you did say some doujin, and all these are), but some of the best non-ero VNs that I've played are:

True Remembrance
Brass Restoration
Moonshine - As long as you don't mind traps :p.

Oh well it really hard to play all Visual Novel...
We have more than 30 VN that appear every month so even me i just play VN that attract me...

Anyway i just play VN that have good character design and have moe girl inside...
And i also buy VN according to my fav VN company such Key, Typemoon, Makura, Minori, Feng, Circus, Leaf and FC-01...

Anyway everyone know Key and Typemoon... *oh well*
Makura famous with H2O VN... i like Makura art and H2O VN really great...
Minori famous with ef-series... Ef is good VN...
Feng famous with Akane-iro ni Samaru Saka... Feng VN art quality is not bad even it storyline just average...
Circus famous with Da Capo series and seriously i bias if i talk about Da Capo *lol...*
Leaf famous with Shuffle series and Utawarerumono...
and FC-O1 famous with Canvas series... *i like Canvas so i will bias too if i talk about it...*

i lol when someone said only Key and Typemoon VN is great and worthy to play...
They should play some Nitro+ game (Chaos;Head or Sumaga), August (Fortune Arterial) or maybe some good company like Shangri-la...

i also play several doujin VN but Narcissu is the best one...
and i hate doujin VN Lucky Star... *if you play you know...*

True Remembrance I've been watching for a long time, since I remember it being described as an English player's gateway to visual novels, along with Narcissu. Brass Restoration looks cute interesting, so I guess I'll look into it too. Come Summer vacation, and I'll mass play these visual novels, along with the al|together 2008 ones, including Moonshine and lolcrimsonness. :D

Tears to Tiara is kinda meh. It takes too much leveling for a VN. :D

That's way games like these haveeasy modes. For those that enjoy the VN aspect of it and not the RPG part... I'm playing on Normal but even if I like RPG I got tired of it's battle system (it's to boring to control each one of your units manually in all battles...) and now it's easy to train only by using the option to let the characters do what they want...

That's the thing though lol. There were 4 difficulty levels so I expected "Normal" to have not that much leveling. I prefer the grid-based system of Uta or the classic RPG system of MaW.
