well if it's about the ero part of it the group that made the english patch to Tsukihime added an option that takes out the ero scenes... don't know if they just skip it or put something in it's place...
I've played Ever17(my favourite so far), Tsukihime, Narcissu... and I've got more dl'd. Clannad, Kanon and Air lol. Plus Hinatabokoto(can't remember offhand). And a few others.
Visual Novels? I have played One - Kagayaku Kisetsu he, Narcissu, Planetarian, and True Remembrance (my #1) so far. Also a part of Kanon but I was using English Patch and after a while all the text turned into those squares you never want to see. Other than the mentioned ones, I've downloaded F/SN, and Clannad but yet have to play it.
If you haven't seen it yet, the Planetarian trailer is just wonderfully fabulous.
The VN isn't that great but it's extremely memorable, which is why I like it.
MAL RatingsISML Chat, Saimoe Blog, Saimoe Wiki A tall, towering wall looms in front of me. Beyond that is something that I could never to see on my own.
And that is...the view from the top.
Unnn... I started playing Planetarian but stopped when class started... have to finish it.
Edit: Ooops... didn't noticed the last post was mine...
So anyone here played Battle Moon Wars Shirogane? An tatical RPG game that is a crossover between many Type moon works: Tsukihime, Kagetsu Tohya, Fate/stay night, Fate/hollow ataraxia, Kara no Kyoukai an Melty Blood plus the addition of some original characters. It has a fun story (Kaleido Ruby ftw) and an interesting combat system with almost all important characters of these games as playable or as enemies.

Once I've learnt enough Japanese I'll become one as well :p. However, you may need to wait a few years for that to happen.
Has anyone here played Suika A.S+ by Circus? Since it's getting an official English translation (if the release date doesn't get pushed back forever) I'm probably going to buy it, especially as it seems a lot of people say it's better than Da Capo.
I've never played Battle Moon Wars Shirogane but it sounds interesting!
Well I'm kind of a VN fag but only english though.

It's great but it have lots of spoilers of the games it's got the characters from. I would recomend that someone should play Fate/stay night and Tsukihime before playing it.
Ah, Suika A.S.+. I remember a while ago when I looked into it that I found something spectacularly familiar about it. And of course, when I discovered that Mikage (Ef) and Naru Nanao (Ef) both worked on it, I lol'ed at myself for not noticing earlier.
So yes, Suika is one of the few visual novels I'm actually interested in. I am quite glad that Mangagamer decided to translate it into the English community, although whether they will do a good job at it or not is... another question.
Well for me in 2009 I'm expecting to spend my money on Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro na -Moonlight Cradle- (I still love Estel's character design), Shinkyoku Sokai Polyphonica (Kinetic novels, and not a 2009 release), and maybe Saya no Uta (also not a 2009 release).
Myself; Yourself ~Sorezore no Finale~ also looks kind of interesting. However I think I'll pass on Canvas 3, even though I've heard that Canvas 2 was great, the art just doesn't really attract me, and I don't know what it's about at all :p.
This is assuming my interest in VNs isn't cut short by UK customs...I still haven't got my copies of Little Busters Ex! and Tears to Tiara .
Anyone expecting, the not too far to be released in english, Family Project ~ Kazoku Keikaku? Peach Princess and Jast USA promotes it a lot saying how it have one of the best story of the genre and all of that (but I don't know how reliable that is as they usually say that for all releases). The story seems to be interesting...
Well depends on you. If you are into reading and don't mind spending a long time in a good story I would suggest a very big but very good one: Ever 17 ~ the Out of Infinity. But if you never were much into reading then I suggest that you play some smaller ones first. There are many small ones trnslated but I don't know them enough to recomend one so I will let the others do it for you.
