There is one last match to play in group stage but you can already plan with your QF opponent some schedule to fight.

QF will be played in Best of 5. If you achieve 3 wins, or 2 wins + 2 draws, you automatically win the match.

If after 5 games there is a tie scenario (5 draws or 1 win 3 draws 1 loss or 2 wins 1 draw 2 losses).
You play some blitz games (5+6, then 4+5, then 3+4, then 2+3, then 1+2). First to win one wins it all.

Matches are played in 10+8. Each match of the serie, you change color, top seed choose his color on first one.

I was live spectating these two games and and since I got roped into casting I am giving some insight rambling. This is without engine and just what I thought during the game so there is bound to be things that are missing. As a general commentary it will work.

G1: https://lichess.org/MhHhNtvZ
3. Bb5 - The most played variation here is 3. Nxe5 d6 4. Nf3 Nxe4. I don't like Bb5 without black having played Nc6 that much because black can easily attack him with (pawn) c6 and eventually do d5 as a follow-up.
4. Nx5 - This is a common trap in this opening. Now black can play Qe7 and if the knight on e5 moves (or is forced to move after c6+d6, the immediate d6 doesn't work because the pawn is still pinned), black can give the Nc3 check with attack on the queen. However black chose Bd6 and the game continued differently.
4...Bd6 - This move makes it a bit awkward to get the white-squared bishop out for black. More natural would be Be7 followed by castling and d6.
7...Qf6 - Has the problem that eventually white will play Bg5 with developing the bishop and tempo on the queen. Needs some time to protect the b2 pawn otherwise the black queen can take it after the bishop moves.
12. Bf4 - Ran into the problem of being unprotected :(
13. Qe8 - There is basically one single trick to this idea which we will see in the next move.
13...Qxb2 - A lot of other moves would have worked here, Bb7, NxBb3, d5, Nd6, a5 to name a few.
White then takes the chance and has a nice mate. A bit unfortunate because black is clearly ahead otherwise.

G2: https://lichess.org/z36GLa2YS756
3... g6 4. Bc4 - If white can play e5 (attacking the knight on f6) without the knight being able to go to d5, this becomes very awkward for black who then has to retreat the knight to g8.
4... e6 - This type of position is fairly common I think although with an earlier d6. Look up Sicilian Najdorf if you're interested.
9. Ne5 - Here white should aim to develop his pieces that are still on the back rank. Black has a glaring weakness on h6/g7 due to being forced to move the black-squared bishop to e7, so perhaps d4 followed by Bg5 or Bh6 is better.
11. Bh6 - This should lead to an exchange of rook vs. two light pieces, which usually favors the side that is left with more light pieces, in this case black.
12. a4 - Now black can take the b5 bishop for free. BxBd7 was fine for white.
14. b3 - As a general rule if the opponent takes something from you, take something (of equal or better value) back. Here black too the knight on b5 so white should re-take with axBb5.
14...Bd6 - Nice move exploiting the knight on e5.
22. Re1 - Rdf1 might open up the idea of a fork with g4. It still is a completely lost position for white who was in serious time trouble on top of it but you take anything you can here.
26. Qd6 - Qe3 moves the queen away and protects the rook but with only a couple seconds left on the clock this is hard to see.

Thanks for the comments it is helping a lot. :3

I'm counter-commenting because it's fun have full explanation on how games went. (Might be fun if hou does it too).

Opening definitely part I have usually no idea what to do, and I was like, okay the only think I know is we're supposed get bishop there when knight out, but if knight ain't out, is it worth it? I eventually wanted get bishop moving for sure to early rook easily, hesitated with bc4.

Yeah hopefully the trap wasn't activated ^^; Big missplay.

That was actually a sacrifice necessary to move his bishop away, so I can make the plan in next move... (It probably makes it even worse, seeing how bad my plan supposed to be countered xD)

I somehow only planned if he protected with Qe3 and it seemed to be an approx even trade if he defended with this (computer seems to tell i go from +0.2 to +0.1, so i judged it correctly it seems), but yeah was a move way too aggressive. That had too much counters I dismissed. The primary idea was, if rook take it's instant win, but if does not take my bishop there so I had like 3 piece involved in mating and King itself was having not much much moves possible trapped in back row. Apparently it was enough pressure to get the win, but I'm not very proud of the move lol. The tactic was poor but it's prove me right on my strategic approach for facing hou. Won't reveal before we end our match, but I have a global plan for this particular opposition lol.

I wanted prepare for Bg7 but indeed should have protect other piece before. (Funny coz in the end my bishop will be forced away from g7 anyway lol).

Computer often says I end up with some Sicilian variation, seems like it's a natural one for me. Will look.

14...Bd6 - Nice move exploiting the knight on e5.
I've planned do this after the big trade I thought would happen (the rook one did not), because the bishop in D6 wasn't possible due to the knight protecting d6, i wasn't sure if it was best go for it directly or save the un-eaten bishop, taking it back to initial position (I looked up and computer says those two moves are equally good and the best ones, so I'm happy with this one, good thinking for once).

Also I wonder how the trade (if rook trade happen too) was, because i had 3 piece vs 2 piece + pawn, but his rook still alive would be more active on a1 with direct access to all a column. Was it even?

I'm unsure if there is a typo on this comment but I have no idea which moves you talk about here. Qd3 seems impossible for multiple reasons so I guess typo.

For the last one it's Qe3 instead of Qd3, I slipped a line.

One of my main problems is that i fail to see the full picture on the board, in the first one i guess i failed to see the potential to move the queen instead of the bishop, but i wanted to rock the king, so my mind went for bishop.
As for the second one, i saw half of the tramp with the queen and the rock, but failed to notice the bishop and the impact it would have :<

Another problem of mine, being able to know if trading pieces will actually benefit me at the end, i thought in taking that bishop, but i noticed the queen and the two knights also pointing in that direction, makin me believe i would end up in a disadvantage, but i guess i should have gone for it. Same thing happened later :v
