[MakiMaki] is decent.

I think all/most of the groups just rip the subs from GONZO's anyway, but Makimaki did their own Karaoke.

Soon enough, and I bet you will see her play for at least 4-5 episodes, maybe longer depending on GONZO.
You see, they play Taishou round long like crazy in manga. And the anime is very much follow the manga.

That's good, more Akagi-like.

They spent one episode making like... one move.

I think that they'll spend about two episodes on the final round, though they could spend part of a third covering it. Nodoka has yet to finish her round so if the girls play again and Saki gets much more than what I expect, the other girls will get stuck with less than half an episode to play. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if there was an episode or two with no large matches once this arc finishes.
Whatever happens, I hope some of the characters from other teams stick around.

IIRC, the manga hasn't even gotten past Saki's round yet, meaning Gonzo is going to need to stretch out Nodoka and Saki's round all throughout the next 12 episodes. Although I doubt they can do long-winded explanations like Akagi does, they do have a fair bit of backstories to throw around so I'm not worried. Rather, what worrys me is how they'll do the ending. Will Gonzo do an original one (*gulp*) or pull a Toradora and collaborate with the author?

Saki goes beyond the impossible.

...I'm actually not that interested in Saki herself. I was looking forward to the Touka match for a while, though.

^Meanwhile, I want Saki to show how deadly her knack of getting Rinshan Kaihou is when you play it right.

Now, Nodoka, show us how many points you've gathered...

Saki is my favorite series of Spring 2009. At first, I think this series isn't much interesting, but after I watched a few first episodes, the only thing I could say is, I had the very same felling as when I watched Bamboo Blade. The only difference is, not like Kendo's, I'm still dizzy with a bunch of Mahjong's rules.

Heh, I know that much. The internet helps hide my impatience and sarcasm, after all. 8-)

While I didn't understand most of the episode (I watched it subless for now), it seems Momoko got the most screen-time in 14. (Captain rounds start next episode? Wai~)
