The annoying part is that this season could have been really good, but it's not. It's just a bunch of bullshit. And I don't expect any less than someone replying to this saying something completely inane in KyoAni's defense like "it's artistic," or "they're trying to make us understand how Yuki feels!" My ass.

Can't really say anything else than this.

I'm actually kind of hoping that they throw canon to the wolves at this point and keep repeating Endless Eight for the remainder of the season, only to have Yuki SNAP in the finale and literally kill everyone in a murderous rampage

Taken on its own, that episode was really pretty. Nice backgrounds, sort of clever styles. The hair style changes on Hauhi and Mikuru were cute. The level of despair in Yuki's eyes was painful. Mikuru's crying "Kyon-kuuuun" over the phone was still funny.

Is this legit?

Endless Eight was organized to be produced as 6 episodes.
Kadokawa’s back sponsor got furious and by the time it was too late, the producer had been fired.
There was huge confusion over whether they were going to skip the produced 4th and 5th episodes and skip to airing the 6th.

By the way, the 6 ep organization was Kadokawa’s instructions.
The fired producer was a scape goat to appease the angry back sponsors.
Kadokawa’s ultimate goal was to blow smoke over the fans by having 12 episodes that would consist of E8, Sigh, and a new Mikuru’s adventure.
And the disappearance images they had pulled from would remain exactly that… (Unsure)
Currently Kadokawa does not feel like animating Disappearance

The purpose of this new production is simple to pull money from the fans (Extreme paraphrase)

Really hope it isn't. I was really looking forward to dissapearence... and that much endless 8... takes my already small will to watch it...

That's a rumor from /a/... I don't know of its veracity or where whoever posted it got it from.

However seeing all four episodes side by side is amazing. They are all so different from each other in style, timing, and mood.
