Well, I mean Umineko has been pretty disappointing so far considering the huge following it has amassed. I find the plot to be seriously all over the place; I'm no longer sure whether it's about Battler's battle of wits with Beatrice or Kanon the acrobat owning demonic goatmen wielding DSwords as weapons.

I sincerely hope that some good explanations are forthcoming....

But it's like Higurashi in that regard... were not suppose to understand it before the ending, only being able to see a few things. But then after the ending when we go back and take a look we see that there were hints all over the place, we just wasn't able to recognize those events as hints.

Higurashi kinda had the focus of one crazy character per arc, and at least it wasn't throwing goatmen all over the place. Then again it's likely this is hindsight bias, and early Higurashi was just as -worthy as the current Umineko; bah I forget.

Just take my ramblings on Umineko as a way of venting frustration due to not understanding what the Sam Hill is going on.

I see.
Hope you come to enjoy it later on! And maybe you can give the novel and manga a try later on! The VN art is terrible but you learn to love it

Ahhh episode 11 came and I cant believe they cut a certain scene from the novel... it didn't have much meaning but it won't take long and would be a wondeful fanservice for Higurashi lovers... for those who don't know the scene was:
SpoilerShow
Bernkastel trying to make Battler feel better after the beating he got in the second game by saying something on the line of:
"Fight! Mii~ Nipaa~" and then going on about how embarassing it was to say that. Plus we got a bit more hints that points to Bern = Rika

I get the feeeling they skipped that on purpose, just to keep the division between the two characters even greater. Though I wouldn't put it past them to make that reference later...especially if they ever decide to make actual non-plot related comedy episodes (unlikely at this time, but there is some material they could use).

Considering what happens later on, it might be for the best to seperate the two characters...for the sake of the Higurashi character's fanbase.

Well but what happens later on that would be bad, if I got what you talking about, then it shouldn't appear in the first season... we got a hint of that in an extra text hint that hardly would be animated and it all starts on EP5 of the VN that will probably be left to a second season...
SpoilerShow
and i think Bernkastel actions will probably be explained and/or redeemed in some way on later VN's EPs. And they should be animated on a same season as EP5 so there won't be a large apce of time between her actions and a explanation (if I'm right).
Well we will see... at least 1 years from now though. XD

Also could be a setup for a bigger troll moment.

That is one of the things about this series...we honestly don't know what is going on.

Don't think many umineko chara would do that well in saimoe... it is quite less moe oriented than Higurashi. And while I like it's story more, don't think it's characters have as much of an impact as Higu too.

New ED?

And so the plot appears...as does the actual start of the mystery rather than just a bombardment of magic.

Six "closed" rooms...six bodies...eleven keys.

Problem one: How does one get said bodies into the locked rooms when the keys are on the inside in a circular pattern?

Problem two: who killed the six people?

Problem three: How can Battler make a case of this not being done by magic?

Problem four: Gold?

Hmm my nut shell view is rather negative to be honest.. I have found down right wrong facts 'said in red' a greater detail drop then the Higurashi Anime - All around I have not been overly pleased - but as many have said "the novel readers are never pleased with the port" It could be true but I feel like im watching a 90-95 % detail drop with bad pacing.. And I dont know about spoilers as I am versed on novels 1-5 and have gone through 1-4 - 4 times each detail searching for my own theories lol. So I don't want to ruin the 'anime' for anyone with my rambles .. But my favorite character is finally in the intro which made me smile Ange ^0^ And never take anything at face value , whos to say whats a trolling and what isnt' , its not a Mind F genre for nothing ;)

And since its already happened - I happen to think Beatrice 1 'fell into the trap' rather on purpose her goals and desires are very much .. ambiguous but I'll keep my theories to myself lol XP

well I don't usually complains but the thing is that one of the main points of the Umineko series is it's revelations, so when you already know what happens it's a bit harder to enjoy as must as the first time..
Anyway from ep 15 I started to get the awesome vibes I got while playing the VN, so things are looking good to me.
