Because of color theory, approximately 82.5732097727±0.002375% of the normal population will first notice the Shana. So the question isn't what you notice first, but how long did it take you to notice the breast?
...Just as planned.Eater-of-All wrote:I voted the first choice, but I believe the experiment wasn't really executed that well.![]()
The problem I faced was that after I confused myself with the poll choices,
That just means you were one of the 100 - 82.5732097727±0.002375% who doesn't see Shana first. Your point?Eater-of-All wrote:I scrolled down to the first line of your post with the image 1/3 visible, where upon reading your text, my peripheral vision allowed me to pick up on the color of skin and instantly deduce that inclining line as representation of breast, while the Shana in that guy's shirt was still only a dull red lump with an antenna on it. It's impossible to recognize Shana at that point, because it can even pass as any old geometric shape. Also I should mention, most humans read English from left to right. Thus, during the instant where I was reading your "Look at the following...", I was to notice skin first due to its proximity in regards to the text, whereas it's much later (up to tenths of seconds!) before I can notice a... red lump.
I can also argue that I've seen that scene before, and thus my memory allows me to recall specific objects in that scene within nanoseconds of eachother which would be impossible to discern which came first, but that's no longer relevent at this point.
There were too much external factors in this experiment to accurately gauge whatever that you were trying to gauge. If my interpretation of this color theory thing is correct (and I admit I don't even know what the heck it is), a test for the recognition of specific objects probably won't factor in the recollection of memory, a line of instruction that (most likely unintended) moves the viewer's focal point, and the familiarity of viewer towards said objects. These elements may seem small, but they're big if we're dealing with sub-second calculations.KholdStare88 wrote:That just means you were one of the 100 - 82.5732097727±0.002375% who doesn't see Shana first. In terms of something unrelated to moe, maybe.Demi. wrote:Eater-of-All wrote:Well, I thought you all knew I'm even more serious than w4terfall.
