I *might* watch Brave Witches, but considering the Strike Witches franchise has (so far) buried a good plot under a mountain of boobs and boob jokes, I don't have any real motivation to watch it. Aside from that, nothing appeals to me. At all. Looks like I've finally found a good catch-up season. Maybe I'll finally be able to finish Last Exile.

Shuumatsu no Izetta - First ImpressionShow
Whoa the CG effects here looks like the American one (the expensive one)
Not so much for the train, though, but it's alright. It's god as it is.

... oi they're escaping, the princess-tachi. -_-

Ah she's Hayamin, the princess.
*summons Rail*
Btw, that's some decent action animation.
Her decisiveness reminds me of the good part of Shitrayuki. Hope she doesn't retain the shit part that made me hate Shitrayuki, also.

lol why must slow motion?

Ah Germania still retains Emperor-hood, here.

Oh now this is decent documentary mode.
Btw, Elystadt is a real place, isn't it?

OST is mint, so far, btw.

Oh she sluts herself?
I thought she was just scared.

Oh now this is some good depiction of war scene.
No need of peace propaganda shit in a war documentary.
Btw, good choice, the opera play.

Yeah yeah typical fiction story bs lol
Beautiful scene. though.

Oh May'n? Nice. :3

So, in overall:
Girls riding guns as brooms? With big budgets? Sign me up.

Plot: looks like it will be interesting, despite not free of flaw. Its best point is how it doesn't spout bullshit of peace as absolute answer. I mean: Fine is an idealist, but she never speaks more than protecting the people of Elystadt that she loves. And while I expect her to speak bullshit of peace in the future, but I also expect the story-telling to not show the story-teller's own ideal directly.

Character: Fine looks like your typical brave tomboy girl MC, which is kinda boring. But she (tries to) keeps her head cool during hard time and only show her true brave color when its most desperate, which is nice. While that doesn't add to her value as a character (it's part of any tomboy clever brave heroine, so it doesn't make her special,) it adds some point to the story-teller, who seems to know how to handle this kind of character.
Berckmann is a pretty good mob boss. Intellect, doesn't give a fuck, will kill anyone that stood between him and his goal, and not creepy. But I hope he is not the main boss. But if he turns out to be main boss, then this series is probably fucked lol.

Story-telling: Pretty tidy. The choice of scene to show itself isn't special, albeit good, typical of an experienced director & writer. But there's a solid background here. And what I mean as solid isn't just solid logic, but also philosophically. Like the play the opera are playing during the negotiation scene, and that picture that pretty much spoils the whole anime , and all the accurate details in the visual. These guys who are doing this anime... really are old, thus they are wiser. The bullshit peace they're trying to say, has a nice foundation.

Visual: Just goddamn lovely details. You can't find a more realistic WWII weaponry art in anime. Lovely CG effects. Lovely expensive lighting. Lovely background.
Lovely depiction of each scene.

Sound: Solid voice works. Absolutely beautiful BGM, And May'n is such a great singer.

I wonder if this is it. The mahou shoujo of this era. Just like Nanoha (well, it's Fate, actually :P) brought the height of modern moe era, and Madoka brought our current era, will Shuumatsu no Izetta be the one to signify the new era in anime (Idol is fucked, then, if it is. The "quantity over quality" tactic is not enough, it seems.)

But... if Izetta is the mahou shoujo of the next era... means the next big thing will be real lesbian shit. -_-
Well, and more peace propaganda. (But peace propaganda motion pictures have been around since not even God can really tell.)
Either way, RIP humanity.
Here's the second new mahou shoujo.
Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku - First ImpressionShow
WTF with that monster
Decent 2D effects, btw.
and another Hayamin listed as main. (Rail will be hoping she won't get too busy with her singing career that is about to come )
But wait... everyone here are main lol.

Btw, sick OP!

hey loli middle-schooler :3

what's with the indirect sex joke, btw?

YES! PROPER TRANSFORMATION SCENE!

Holy shit that power is basically magical candy grinding cheat.

Holy shit... La Pucelle... is Ayaneru?

Holy shit she's definitely Ayaneru. WTF!

And WTF it's a trap! And she was my fav!

Sick ED, btw.

So, in overall:
Quite light-hearted, but the source is known to be dark. So, done right, and this can potentially be better than Izetta, pon.
(But, then again, it's Lerche, pon. So far they haven't mess up, but... you know, pon. They're Lerche, pon.)

Still stunned with Ayaneru being La Pucelle.
Congratulation, Souta, for achieving the dream of any mahou shoujo lolicon freak dream of becoming one.
Still waiting for White Fox. Not really rated the others, though I'll probably take a look.

Shuumatsu no Izetta Episode 1Show
[This section has been removed.] (Reason: Incoherent fanboyism.)
Bloodivores Episode 1Show
"The OP is catchy."
Digimon Universe Episode 1Show
Let's be honest. This isn't Digimon; it's Rockman EXE. And Xros Wars was just some transformers shit. It would be sad, but Digimon should have just stopped after Savers if they didn't have any good ideas.
WWW.Working!! Episode 1Show
Sometimes, refusing to let a franchise die is a bad thing. Like that Love Live! Sunshine!! crap. Or the above-mentioned Digimon Universe. But other times, continuing a franchise is a good thing. Like in this case. Web Working is amazing. And hilarious. And Sayuri is moe.

SHOW BY ROCK!! S2 - Episode 001Show
YES IT'S BACK.. MOA'S PLUMP BREAST I MEAN GOOD MUSIC.

Btw, that big boss... is Sawashiro Miyuki, yes?

AND YES, GOOD MUSIC RIGHT FROM THE START!
Plot looks a bit more depth than first season. But it's not that special.
I just hope they don't get too busy with it.

YES! SHINGANCRIMSONZ! AS COMEDIC AS ALWAYS!
Sing, you cattle!
Be dyed in Crimson!
Your eyes will change fate!
SHINGANCRIMSONZ! SHINGANCRIMSONZ!

And, of course, Battle of Bands. Music competition is the new National Tournament, after all.
Btw: oh so they have enough money to make concert now, Banded Rocking Records.

YES! SHINGANCRIMSONZ FIRST!

FUCK IT PLASMAGICA FUCK OFF I WANT TO HEAR SHINGACRIMSONZ!
Yeah yeah you fuck off, too, Criticrista.

... Ah there goes the song. Fuck it these moe girls.

Dagger returns!

SHINGANCRIMSONZ AS COMEDIC AS ALWAYS

Btw, I haven't said it, but the new band main vocal main sounds good.
What's her name again? Noguchi Ruriko?
*checks web*
hmm first character role

Hye Ayaneru moaning.

"It's like the science fiction setting of a B-Movie." - Retoree.
Well said.

In the end, this new boss just seek the same thing as Dagger.
Well, except Dagger wants to rule with music, while this alien queen seeks to destroy music.
Hmm I wonder if they will go that far.

Btw this ninpo thing is surprisingly comedic.

Oh Ryuusei Dreamline piano version?
I wonder if they will release this version this season.
I was very upset they didn't. :(

Oh Cyan going back for next?
That's pretty decent pacing there.
Lovely new ED, btw. Ayaneru going pyuru pyuru pyuru is so... arousing :P
But I'm glad she sings more here this time, Ayaneru.

So, in overall:
SHOW BY ROCK!! has always been a guilty pleasure show, a show that "don't expect anything, and it will turn out a very fun ride."
I will apply the same attitude this time. Yoroshiku~
Btw, I love the new Seiyuu. She sings great. I remembered all her side roles as listed, but I cannot judge her ability as VA yet. But still: even should she fail, I think she'll do well enough as a singer.

Vivid Strike Episode 1Show
Meh. Another "play the bad guy to protect something" plot. Rather lackluster. Miura is still moe, though. And there's a chance we will get to see Hayate some time down the line.

Oh yeah. And having Seven Arcs back in action is nice.

Idol Memories - First ImpressionShow
No ENG sub yet, btw, so I needed to scrape things out.

In overall:
A very "hmm..." series, so far.
It takes a rather serious side of idol, with proper curriculum-ized education and stuff.
It could go dark if done right, but probably it won't. It will probably stay with the idol drama bullshit that is as "dark" as it will probably go. (injury, fair competition, etc. [email protected] Dark, my ass.)
Plus each episode is only half as long as normal anime. So there is simply not enough time to go too far.
Characters are shit. None feels powerful enough.
Voicing is standard Japanese Seiyuu.
Songs are Japanese idol shits, and the singers are decent-to-bad level (well, "bad" here of course is using the standard of professional music entertainment. So it's not like they can't sing.)
The choreography is actually typical Japanese idol. It's not special (unlike Muse choreography, for example) but it's decent considering how shit Japanese idol unit dance usually is. But unfortunately the 3DCG is of a very poor quality. (But I feel something odd with the movement... I wonder if they're using those cheap Live Motion Capture software.)

I didn't think I'd enjoy this, given how boring I found Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace to be. But this is pretty nice so far. I can grow to like Noro.

Breaks! (well, not really. I need to renew my AutoCad)
Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume - First Impression:Show
Good things: OST (BGMs, OP, ED,) pacing.
Bad things: Everything else. (well, except voicing, which can only be categorized as decent, so I can't put it above either. But the reason I'm here in the first place is because there are names here that are on my watch list.)

Do note: I hate sport anime.
But, objectively, it's a decent moe show, with a decent-but-that's-it comedy that's neither smart nor absurdly stupid to have its own identity.
But of course, once again said: it's a sport anime, not moe show. So the main format is sport.
Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru - First ImpressionShow
Oh things escalated rather quickly.
Oh that's some nice 2D action. It's not exactly... conventional but it's free of any 3D aids (actually, it feels as if it's hand-animated using the old method. It's kinda Ping Pong Animation-ish, except Ping Pong looks much more sophisticated.)

Heuh... unfortunately most of the times I'm not into moe boys.
But there's always exception, one or two, so let's see if I can find one here.

Btw, speaking of Bontenmaru, I prefer the blonde loli chuuni one.

I wonder if this "master" will get a form.
Or should we be satisfied with formless Teitoku? ^^;
I'm going to skip this whole background building.

lol boys giving each other protection charm.
So gay.

Btw, I want to question these swords: who is your true master?
This unknown dude with no form whatsoever? Or your true wielder, the one who fought with you?
Poor guys, those swordmen. I'll be laughing in disbelieve if I was them.

Oh now here's the sophisticated animation. Pretty fluid pretty fluid. Though the outline could be just a little a bit thicker.

So, in overall:
Heuh KanColle fujoshi version.
Though Hasebe being "alive"... kinda lights the screen more. Unlike Kancolle's Nagato, whose stoic version means she's no fun of a secretary ship to write around.

Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume Episode 1Show
I love table tennis. It's the only sport that I'd go out of my way to watch outside the Olympic Games. I know about Ping Pong the Animation, but, for all the praise it gets, I'm not watching it because drama isn't what I'm looking for.

This anime might? be okay. It really depends how much they can explore table tennis like other sports anime explore their respective sport. (Honestly, though, I'm not expecting much in that respect.)

Couple things that annoy me so far. First, the sore loser act at the start. You guys fucking lost. If you're going to whine, then shut up and gtfo. Second, Agari doesn't enjoy table tennis. This isn't a claim; it's a statement of fact. She needs to gtfo as well.

Shoushin Shoujo Matoi - First ImpressionShow
First Scene: White Fox based.
If only the English is better...

Shiori is Matoi's Mom, yes? Return? Is she also a bearer of those Divine Plasma etc etc God Clothes?
The one that knows most usually stays quiet the most. Hmm...

So, in overall:
Animation: is this thing made using leftover of Re:Zero's production money Well, no matter, those 2D effects are beautiful!
Story: White Fox-based. Boring story, but delivery is great!
VA: Saber steals the spotlight
BGM: White Fox-based. Nice ED, btw.
Nanbaka - First ImpressionShow
I forget what's the name of that show, again? Well, it's its parody
Who don't love baka people?

Hibike! Yuriphonium - Episode 001Show
How do you know a project has extra money invested in it or not these days? Check the first episode: if it's 2-episodes long, then it may has extra money on it.
Re:Zero wasn't the first to do this, but one can hardly argue that it's Re:Zero who settled this trend.
Oh yuri from the start.

Btw, is it just me or Kumiko looks a bit more adult here?
I feel like KyoAni is trying a new style. It's less round than I remembered it.
And the coloring feels kinda rushed on long shots, which is unlike KyoAni at all.
But screenplay, delivery, anything else... is the usual KyoAni level of quality.
Yap, I'm at the scene where the supporting band members are congratulating their fellow club members.
Asuka is as gorgeous and energetic as always, though.

But yeah, this thing is a bit rushed.
Usually Reina's eyes would look much prettier even from afar. This one... feels a bit rougher.
Well, not that many people will notice.

Close-shot is still okay.
As we get more of it.
Script... is typical KyoAni "hanging around" type.
Somehow it always delivers the vibe.

I hope Kumiko x that boy whose name I forget will see real progression this season. (material-wise? yeah :D)

Oh where did I hear this part of Touyama Nao's voice again?
A bit lower, though not really low enough for everyone to not notice.

Eh... kay. I wonder how will Taki-sensei solve this thing?

Yeah yeah Nozomi it's like you don't know Asuka. She'll say no when she thinks it won't do any good.

NOW THAT FEELS MORE LIKE KYOANI !

"I would never run away!" - Kousaka Reina
Alright, girl, how about you actually confess to your beloved Taki-sensei and take the rejection pill down, rather than running around with your yuri partner? -_-

So, in overall:
Story: Nothing less than expected.
Animation: The first half feels rushed. I wonder if there's some last minute change... Doesn't mean much, though. KyoAni is KyoAni.
Music: As usual, no full band piece, But the solos are nice. Oh that ED btw. Been awhile since I last saw KyoAni doing their 4 Horsemen ED. The last one (Musaigen) wasn't strong enough concept-wise to convey their typical message.
