We'll see how Korean support will boost Aria fandom. Akari's first match is against a relatively easy opponent, Sakura Kinomoto. Sadly, I think Akari will win.

If Akari still has the support the Koreans had given her in their tournament, and if everyone vocal about Aria isn't just the minority, Sakura would be an easy win. Besides, if you walk around town a little, you'll see Aria signatures, avatars, and fans everywhere, and the only prominent Sakura fan you'll see is probably KholdStare.
That reminds me. You need to go watch some Aria, KholdStare.

Aquamarine for Aquamarine looks off to a good start. Though I do pride myself in seeing the day where Sakura is referred to as an "easy win". First Saimoe champion of all time, anyone?

Akari is fine, but I'm not really much for the gimmicky "Aquamarine for Aquamarine" thing. I'm desperately hoping Sakura does well. All the other matchups so far look predictable; hopefully Nanoha can add the first member of her friend list, whoever it may be.

I'm looking forward to the season starting. I think it's going to be interesting to see how the Touhou characters stack up against the truly powerful competitors.
A miracle that you believe in when you know it won't happen......... is hope.

Fwee, less than a month to go. I hope I'll be able to finish my anime marathon so I'll be familiar with most of the characters by the beginning of the season, though the first day will already give me problems. I really don't know if I should vote Akari or Sakura... new love versus old love? Get those campaigning threads going, I'm easily swayed.
Also, for my personal curiosity. Is anyone checking a location in particular every day? For me it's Milano, since it's so close to here. Though the first match there is still undecided, I'll look forward to it. It's fun to pretend that ISML has an actual setting.

I did for the Preliminaries. Dallas-Fort Worth was my special place for 7 rounds. But I guess we won't see this venue for 2 years.

I hear Phoenix and Houston put in bids for next year's preliminaries. I wonder which other cites will place bids.

I'm glad you think so. For us statisticians it's not as important but I'm just glad to see some people appreciate the addition.

Since I'm in a poetry mood, why not.
The contestants gather by the shores of the sea
Fighting for permanence in ISML history.
The prelims are over—the tourney commences
And voters despair despite our cynical defenses.
So begins the opening act, the opening scene,
Of ISML 09—Aquamarine.
I'm excited =D
Thanks Marinara for the sig. =D

Okay, since I don't know what you mean by Aquamarine for Aquamarine, I want to know. I haven't watched Aria
Signature by Me.

Ikaros is <3~! Please support her in ISML with nominations and votes~!

Ehhhh, betsu ni. Vancouver is pretty much my home field, though, but I dunno if that will appear again.
