I think if Saki is still in a tournament, she should remain a champion. The only criteria for world saimoe championship to vacate her title is if she doesn't participate in ANY of the main saimoe in one whole year, and we can decide which saimoe should be included as main.

^ I thought I said that before in an earlier post. I guess I wasn't as clear in my post as I thought. I meant that if I didn't see Saki participate at all for a whole year, I would consider vacating the title and figuring out how to give it to someone else.

@ hinakatbrkln: I recently modified it such that the thread would be watching AFST GAB, BGC, and ISML.

Here's the thing, when I created the response post for minhtam1638, I was creating a what if scenario than a something that would happen scenario. This is because of the polls I created about which tournaments to follow, as it was decided that the thread would stop looking at AST from AST 2014 onward. This would have meant that Kaname Madoka (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) victory over Gokou Ruri (Ore no Imouto) and onwards as AST champion would be the final thing I would look at AST wise. After that, the new thing I would look at were AFST, GAB, BGC, and ISML. This would have meant that the Madoka and Saki rivalry at 2014 would not have been recorded, as I stopped recording it. Had I followed AST, I would have made Miyanaga Saki and Hanamura Nodoka co-champions. Then, I would have looked through AFST, find out if Saki or Nodoka made it in, and then follow them. If they make it past the preliminaries, I would have recorded their data.

BTW, if they make it through Prelims but one of them got last in a group of three, does the top two get the title or do we see how the other one does before deciding?

In a triple threat match, it is usually the overall winner of that match who would advance to the next round that is crowned the new champion, regardless of the second/third/fourth/etc. placement of the current champion. In the same match, if the two opponents had a tied victory over the current champion, then the two of them would be the new co-champions.

So if Saki loses, we can crown the top of their matches right?

Btw, the first place of the match that Nodoka lost in is Enemoto Takane ( MMekakuCityActors )

Since Oshino Shinobu managed to advance to Regular Season, I'll keep my eye on her for progress here for now.

btw, Since Saki lost overall to first place winner of the match, which happens to be Akemi Homura, do you want to see a Akemi Homura vs Oshino Shinbou match first and decide the champion from there, or is the Saki and Nodoka win not counted and Shinobu still gets the title?

I think Saki and Nodoka's overall victory at AST was not included, so Shinobu still holds the title for now.

First title defense for Oshino Shinou (Monogatari series) since her victory over Onodera Kosaki (Nisekoi). Can Shinobu defeat the former runner-up for the Tiara Nagato Yuki (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu) to retain her title?

Title defense success, but can Oshino Shinobu overcome former AST and KBM champion Aisaka Taiga (Toradora!)?

And Itsuka Kotori bruns the tiger to a crisp. Now, Oshino Shinobu (Bakemonogatri) gets her rematch clause where she believes that the title should be hers. Can the vampire take on Kotori's flames?

And Illyaviel von Einzbern (Fate Series) was just too much for Aoyama Nanami to handle, and Illyasviel becomes the new UWSC champion.

Illyasviel got herself a successful title defense at her Round 1 BGC match. How long can she last now that there are two places she has to keep her eye on for her title?
