Even Maria has 100 wins and Nagi has 150 wins? (Absolute shock). Clearly the arrival of Kanade and Ruri have uplifted the bar by a notch.
Haruhi makes sense for getting 100 wins earlier than Shana, she should be quite a popular character at that time.
I really wonder if Kanade will really exceed the no. of match wins by Shana and if so, when. Any projections tehyc?

(BTW this is my 100th post, yeah!

I think Shana will probably achieve 300th win this year without problem. So she will at least with 300 win in hand.
Now Kanade. She will achieve her 150th win this year without doubt (unless she lose to Ayase, Ruri and Mikoto or upset).
For Kanade to exceed Shana 300 win, I think it will be almost impossible since:
1) Shana had participated in ISML 2008 and 2009, which have 63 matches per year and this boost her win by some decent numbers (121 wins in the 2 years, which need at least 4 years now if want to achieve that).
2) Now we only have 35 matches per year, which means, if Kanade want to achieve 300 win, she needs another 5 years to do that (and this require her to do an average of 30-0-5 for every years).
So unless she can hold out that long, or else 300 win will belongs to the one and only Shana.

Mikoto's performance in 2009 put herself far behind away from Taiga, and though she performed better than Taiga in each of the consequent years the difference was not really that big, so it's only normal that Taiga's total win count is still ahead of Mikoto.
smartboyhw wrote:Even Maria has 100 wins and Nagi has 150 wins? (Absolute shock).
Back in those days both of them were decent competitors you know... Of course 63 matches in 1 season would also be a factor for the high win count.

Yeah, I wonder how do you guys in the old days vote, it should be quite tiring... As for Nagi + Maria, they are ruined thanks to the newer seasons of HnG. :?

Anyhow, Hina will find it extremely hard to get to 250 wins (if she appears in RS next year I'm gonna be surprised).

Taiga isn't really doing poor at all, so Mikoto will take years to exceed her win count (and I doubt if she will be able to at all).

You can multiply wins of 2008 and 2009 by 0.35, wins of 2010 and 2011 by 0.45 and wins of 2012 to 2014 by 0.63. So you can compare "relative" wins.

I'm not definite, but I think a select few from the combined total win record didn't get their 2012 or 2013 wins added to the total win record up to Amethyst 7 2014. I made sure that the other Stella/some Nova challengers had a combined win total before commenting.

So unless she can hold out that long, or else 300 win will belongs to the one and only Shana.
You can multiply wins of 2008 and 2009 by 0.35, wins of 2010 and 2011 by 0.45 and wins of 2012 to 2014 by 0.63. So you can compare "relative" wins.
I done the calculation like what you said, and I get this.

Lets assume Shana get 300th win and Kanade get 150th win this year, so their number will be:
Shana 138.38
Kanade 85.68
Difference = 52.7, 52.7/0.63 = 83.65 = 84
So, lets assume Shana not in the RS next year, so that's mean Kanade will need to get 84 wins so that she can be on par with Shana.
Is my assumption on Kanade win right?

Right.
While Shana might hold the alltime-record for absolute wins (unless the ISML schedule will change in the future), Tenshi might set a new record for relative wins.

Misaka Mikoto should pass Shana for total number of wins someday. It might take 6 or 7 years, but it should happen eventually since Mikoto has lots of new material to keep her relevant for a long time.
A miracle that you believe in when you know it won't happen......... is hope.

Win records are a bunch of figures only, and whenever this issue is raised there'll be discussions about comparing different contestant's strength. This is difficult due to the different formats of competition used throughout the history of ISML.

In my opinion, other than the total number of matches in one season (winning % if you like), another factor one might want to consider is the level of competition faced, and the number of years passed since the debut or most recent material. All these may play a role in the contestant's strength, and it's difficult to make fair comparisons without considering so.

As long as the anime industry doesn't screw up Railgun and Index like they did to Hayate no Gotoku.

I see only three 'pretty good chance of winning' opponents in there. I don't see her getting to 250. And I doubt she's going to be returning next year without something significant for her.

150 wins, 250 wins, 300 wins, and then?
I don't know how many total wins will Shana achieve in the future,
but I will support her until the day she is out of regular season.

I see maybe three opponents she should be able to beat. I can't see her even managing a decent gap under Kanade though.
Katsura will probably end her ISML career just short of 250, I doubt she'll be around next year.

Three to four, depends on the situation (if Hina meet Charlotte after Char drop to red/pink zone, maybe a chance to win as well).
Next year huh...? Well, I really hope she still here next year.
