[STORY] Dawn of War (Aquamarine)

Prelude:

The year was 2008, the Great Moe War had ended. The battles between the KyoAni Empire and the Kugimiya Alliance had left the galactic rim in ruins. Most of the minor systems had been destroyed, and several major worlds had been shattered or heavily damaged.

But some things remained:
The tenuous alliance between Shana and Fate had held the line against the KyoAni Empire. The after math has shaken the very core of the galaxy. The once Great Void is gone, but the Master of the Void remains, shaken but alive.

The KyoAni Empire suffered several reorginizations due to the will of the God Empress Haruhi. However her will has been counterpointeed by her Key Advisor: Kyou, and as such the power of Key has grown in the Empire over the almost equal Non-Key forces. The God Empress, not to be marginalized within her own Empire, has keep her core three and the three Lucky Stars for herself and given control of the Key systems to Advisor Kyou and President Tomoyo. The Kanon systems have managed to salvage the sickly world of Shiori and have brought forth reenforcements from the animalistic people of Makoto. President Tomoyo and the God Empress Haruhi agreed to remove Kyou's sister world of Ryou and replace it and Kyon's Sister with a the loli-world of Mei. Also the hard choice of cutting Fleet Captain Tessa Testerossa in favor of Paleontologists of Misuzu. However the choice to cut Captain Testerossa has left Haruhi's flank open to a new rising empire.

New developments:
With the suprising victories of the once unallied world of C.C., the Code Geass Empire has expanded to three systems and has infringed on KyoAni Imperial Space. The God Empress is not amused.

A few of the other minor unallied worlds managed to survive heavily battered and broken by the war, but have managed to regain a foothold on the outer rim. Worlds such as Alice and Tamaki have managed to draw up support and formed their own small regions of space.

Others Empires or Republics have manged to revive some of their lost territory in the war's aftermath. Nanoha and Fate have managed to bring the world of Vita back and have called on the Master, Hayate, to bring new support to the front lines.

The once powerful Maidens of Rozen have maanged to holdout thanks to the efforts of their darkest sister world: Suigintou. The twin garden worlds have been seperated in the conflict and now only Suiseiseki remains, battered but defiant. With the help of both worlds they have managed to salvage the Red World of Shinku and granted it the chance to shine once more.

Other worlds in the Fate/Stay Nght and Higurashi Sectors have been battered but hold their own. The Worlds of Rin and Saber have decided to fight back with a loli-world of their own.

The greatest shift however have been around the area once held by the Negima Empire and the Great Void. With the almost total destruction of the Negima Empire around the middle of the war, the remaining world of Evangeline was banished across the Great Void to the whims of the KyoAni Empire. However the Great Void magicially imploded after the war, openning up space. It was filled rapidly.

With the core barely held, the Kugimiya Alliance nearly fell apart. However with the loss of the Great Void, Jedi Master Shana and Louise of the Void put out a call...a call that would bring forth the Grand Systems of the JCS. With the boost in numbers and the addition of two more Kugimaya Knights, and the holding of Hayate Space via Knight Nagi, the line has been reforged.

But the destruction of the Great Void was the greatest mystery of the age. It seems the void, magical as it was, was removed by a greater source of magics...the Touhou had arrived within the Galaxy. With five systems, the Touhou represent one of the strongest factions outside the KyoAni Empire and the Kugimaya Alliance. Thus the field is set. Two major factions from the last war locked in a stalemate, and a new viable power ready to take advantage of this weakness.

The year is 2009. This is the Second Moe War.

The year is 2009.

The tenuous peace in the galaxy was broken after the implosion of the Great Void. The opening of space brought with is a colonial moment from the Grand Systems of the JCS headed by Knights Shana and Louise. In addition to this the mysterious Touhou arriving in the space once occupied by the Great Void.

This shift in power brought about conflict along the borders of all the major and minor powers.

While the God Empress Haruhi and Key Advisor Kyou were busy attending to internal reoginizations, the Twin Systems of Hiiragi would head out to join their new Key border world paleontologists of Misuzu and Key Intelligence Force Ichinose in exploring the new open space.

The Combined Forces encountered the Touhou. The younger Hiiragi world would take on the Fast Forces of Aya, while the Intelligence Force of Ichinose would match wits with there counterparts from the World of Knowledge. The new Key border world of Misuzu would encounter the toughest challenge, the Magi of Marisa: "Stealers of Things Precious" and equipped with rather large beam cannons. All KyoAni Force managed to defeat the Touhou Patrols and returned to KyoAni space to report to their respective commands.

Meanwhile the commander of the elder Hiiragi World Forces, the Legendary Kagamin, encountered scouting forces of the JCS in the form of the Third Kugimiya Knight, Louise of the Void. The fight seemed unavoidable between the tsundere commanders, but quick action by KyoAni Forces resulted in the overwhelming destruction of the Void Fleet, sending it to the rear of the JCS Systems for repair.

Meanwhile:
Nagisa the Bold would investigate the new addition of the animalistic people of Makoto. Her bold use of Dangos caused the inhabitant to roll over for her with the cry of "Auu~ Auu~".

God Empress Haruhi's investigation of the Key loli world of Mei however was not so easy. Her Chief Dog Soldier Kyon was even effected by the power of their warrior's battle cry of "Onii-chan". While Haruhi was able to quell their power, Haruhi makes plans to use this new weapon against her enemies.

Key Advisor Kyou on the other hand was having a dispute with the Starfish worshippers of Fuuko over the rights to the legendary Ushio. While the skills of Kyou paid off, it just might have been that the legendary Ushio also sends the fighters of Fuuko into a dazed state.

The preformance of the battered Kanon Systems has come under the review of the God Empress and her Intelligence Specialist St. Nagato-chi. All Kanon forces are to redouble their efforts in the days ahead.

Outside the KyoAni Empire:

First Kugimiya Knight Shana decided to investigate the mysterious world of Hanyuu to see if they still harbor the Fifth Column from Hinamizawa. The "Cute Rebellion" was put down by Shana, but not without heavy losses.

Meanwhile the Collector for Oyashiro-sama, Rena, has set her sights on collecting the last of the Negima Empire...the World of Evangeline. As the Collector has managed to gain samples of all the Negima Imperial Worlds during the pervious war, the process was quick and nearly painless...for Rena anyway.

The World of Rika-chama would defeat a raid from the Moe Marines from Mikuru with loss of much life on both sides of the encounter.

The JCS was mostly victorious along it's fronts, dispite the humiliation suffered by Louise of the Void. Even in defeat the Power of Meme was strong with Minori verses the Older Power of Desu~. The Old Guard World of Ayumu (otherwise known as "Osaka" the Lightheaded) was defeated by what seemed like an assassin from the world of Shiki.

Other regions have regained or maintained their power in this tenuous time.

The Maidens of Rozen have regrouped victorious and defiant once again.

Nanoha and Fate have set forth to "befriend" new worlds. Nanoha encountering heavy fightpower from the Touhou, but was successful in her art of "befriending through superior firepower" against the Scarlet threat.

Fate's voyage into the non-aligned systems resulted in the most one sided fight the galaxy has seen since the middle the last war, with the total "befriending" of the Blades of Kirino.

The Touhou had one victory as their Commando Mikos from Reimu managed to topple the Old Guard Bot of Chii.

Finally the Empire of the Geass has contined to infringe on the KyoAni Empire and defeated the Forces of Nayuki. The God Empress is expected to declare total war against this threat much like she did in the last war against the then independent World of C.C. Only time will tell how this goes.

(spoilers for length)

KyoAni Empire:Show
The peace had failed. The flames of war spread as the great powers shifted for another all out war. The balance of power shifted as God Empress Haruhi continued her disciplining of the Kanon Protectorate. The Demon Warriors of Mai are resilient...the God Empress thinks they may be ready oince again.

The Moe Marines of Mikuru would go to the World of Makoto to hone their skills so that the Marines might please the God Empress in future engagements. Also Nagisa the Bold would visit the Loli World of Mei for additional training.

Key Intelligence Officer Ichinose, on her way home from the World of Knowledge, was intercepted by a Touhou Force under the command of Protector Reimu, who was hoping to keep Gensokyo's secrets from reaching the KyoAni Empire. However Kotomi-chan had studies the spell cards of the Touhou and was able to dodge every bullet, making her way back to KyoAni Space without a scratch.

Also returning from Touhou Space, Misuzu encounters the Forces of Nanoha, also returning from an engagment with Touhou Forces. Nanoha's attempts at "befriending" makes Misuzu cry.

St. Nagato-chi, seeking information of the Rim Worlds, sent a force to the AIRA Corperate Space World of Alice. The information was gained with few casualties.

Still operating in JCS space, the Legendary Kagamin encountered a First One Race...the Heralds of Azumanga. The "Osaka" weapons platforms however were easily distracted by...well something that didn't register on the KyoAni sensors, and Kagamin was able to undermine the rare forces of the JCS Fleet.

Key Advisor Kyou, in an effort to keep the Fate-Shana Pact unstable, made an end run around JCS territory and engaged the Red Knight of Darkness (Vita) in the rear of their lines. Kyou's Forces went by the book and crushed their enemies quickly and with few losses.

In addition to Kyou's Forces, President Tomoyo and the Starfish Warrior of Fuuko engaged other elements of the tenuous Fate-Shana Pact by assaulting both the Techno-Magi of Index's Techno-Commander Mikasa and the HnG Combine's Legendary Maria. While the attack on the Techno-Magi was a complete success, the skill of the Legendary Maria caused many casualties among the Starfish Warriors. Though victorious, the KyoAni Empire knowns that Maria isn't easy.

By order of the God Empress, all Kanon Protectorate Forces were to seek action if not otherwise being trained personally by the God Empress' Forces.

The Seekers of the Sacred Uguu~ wondered to the World of Knowledge hoping to find signs of the Uguu~. Touhou Forces engaged the Seekers, but were unable to prevent a landing in the Library. No Uguu~ was found, only Mukyu.

Stormtroopers from Nayuki would land in the Out Rim world of Shugo Chara to raid the Spice Amu for the God Empress. This pleases Haruhi.

However the Worlds of Sayuri and Shiori are not as fit for combat at the other peoples of the Kanon Protectorate. Heading together into Hinamizawa, they would face the terrible wrath of Oyashiro-sama and were forced to retreat, with some of the Sickly Shiori peoples being Collected by Rena.

Meanwhile:

The Geass Regency had decided to expand its borders and the Witch-Regent pressed her domain into the Core of the Galaxy. Defeating the Rozen's Red Sister World of Shinku, C.C. has managed to press her territory deep into the Core. However her Commanders were not so fortunate entering the major power's territories. The Loyal Anya was defeated by the Balsamic Fleet moments after entering KyoAni Imperial Space. And the Royal Guard was soundly defeated by the Lightning Forces of Fate just outside the border.

JCS and the Kumimiya KnightsShow
In the JCS:

The Shining Blue Dragons of Ami attempted to make a trade run to the Trade World of Izumu, deep in KyoAni Space. However the price savy Legendary Girl A was able to spot the deceptions of the Blue Dragons and fixed the prices, denying the dragons an exclusive market.

Other marketing opportunities were lost when the Techno-Magi Index attempted to establish trade for Spice with Horo Enterprises. The negotionation fell into the favor of the Spice traders due to favorable exchange rates, thus the price for Spice in the JCS inflated once more.

The Red Dragons of Minori were denied entry into the Kingdom of Night as they kept attempting to get the Sovereign of the Realm to eat less rice, thus ruining a chance for an early alliance against the KyoAni Empire.

Kugimiya Knights:

Kugimiya Master Shana went to the Kannagi Theocracy to investigate their dealing with the Dragon Dominion. Her mind tricks lead to an easy settlement.

Kugimiya Master Nagi entered the CLAMP Cluster to find out what happened on Persocom after the Touhou invasion. The Chii Unit was as helpful as she could possibly be to the Kagimiya Knight, but information of the Touhou is still very limited.

Kugimiya Knight Louise of the Void travelled to the far off Worlds of the Brave Blades to confront the Blade of Kirino. Their duel was suprisingly quick for the Master of the Void... The Yellow Braver was defeated once again.

Kugimiya Padawan Taiga, also exploring the Outer Rim would entered the Nebula of the Golden Darkness. Many enter and never escape. The young knight however was able to find her way out without much incident.

Kugimiya Padawan Yuuhi was summoned by the HnG Combine to answer to President Hina on the failure to cover the Combine's rear from the KyoAni Empire. The Knight left the President's office highly embarrassed when she challenged the President to a mock duel.

The Touhou, internally known as the Gensokyo Expeditionary Force, continued to have poor luck in this new galaxy. Only Remilla would be successful in engaging another vampire such as herself in open combat. With a rapid exchange of spell cards, Evangline and Remillia would light up space near the KyoAni border. But in the end, the Scarlet Vampire would prove the superior to the once powerful Negima vampire.

Aya would attempt to get open a trade route with the ARIA Corperation, but since she wasn't paying attention, the terms favored the World of Aquamarine...though this is the first friendly exchange between the Touhou and the Local Inhabitants of the Galaxy.

Marisa, on the other hand, would duel in magic with the Red Mage (Rin) and come out the worse for ware.

The Kingdom of Night is not without fault however. The Loli Clone attempted to invade the Realm of the First One. While the First One's powers seem to have diminished with age...her powers are still enough to defeat the Clones of Illya.

The Assassins of Shiki, in an effort to disrupt the World of Rika-chama attempted to kill the head miko. Fortunately the miko's of Rika-chama are the veterans of many wars. They can handle themselves even when the Collectors for Oyashiro-sama and her other defenders are gone.

Finally the Maidens of Rozen had a pair of scores to settle. First was an old rivally between the Dark Sister World of Suigintou and the Time-Space Administration Bureau. Gin-sama's Forces entered the area of space controlled by Hayate, Mistress of Darkness to settle a matter of pride. Who controls the darkness? Gin-sama decided that she controls the Darkness and defeated Hayate to prove it.

Stranger is the tale of the Garden World of Suisieseki and the Queen of Blades, Tamaki. It is not clear how it started, or why, but somehow the idea of being the only queen in the galaxy entered Suisieseki's head. "I am the green queen (desu~). No other queen can rule in this region (desu~). I'll show them all (desu~)." The Red Queen of Blades, not expecting an attack from the Maidens of Rozen, was caught off guard, but was quick to parry the Maiden. The efforts of the Red Braver were not enough against the skills of Suisieseki, veteran of many wars. However the fight did not end with the abdication of the Red Queen...just somehow the Suisieseki managed to be pleased with herself and left before anything else happened...("desu~").

Dawn of War (Aquamarine 3)

Space erupted into full conflict in the core worlds as the forces of the KyoAni Empire struck.

While the God Empress Haruhi tested the young but bold Nagisa and the Moe Marines of Mikuru would teach the Loli Warriors of Mei some of pointers, the rest of the empire was on the move.

To defend the honor of the empire, and by the order of the God Empress, St. Nagato-chi directed her considerable forces against the Regency of Geass and the Witch-Regent C.C. The Witch would not go down easy, nor without a fight for the power she had gained for her lord. The destruction on the KyoAni border rivaled the battles of the Core Battles at the end of the Great Moe War. But in the end, Yuki was all that remained. The honor of the God Empress had been saved.

Meanwhile:

The Twin Fleets of the Hiiragi would press deep into the Core Worlds and challenge two of the greatest threats from earlier wars....the World of Rika-chama and the Garden World of Suiseiseki, both champions for their respective domains. While both former champion world of the moe wars would put up a good fight with their respective battle cries of "niipah~" and "desu~", the Twin Fleets of Hiiragi would emerge from the Core victorious. Though the forces from Rika-chama would still hold claim to Core, their forces had been diminished.

Backing up this force was the combined firepower of the Clannad Republic:
President Tomoyo would personally challenge the Collector for Oyashiro-sama, Rena, in open combat. The rapid fire combinations attacks from the President's flagship were more than a match for Rena's cleaver-like tactics...the Collector was unable to gain a new prize.

Key Advisor Kyou would assist the Balsamic Fleet in entering the Space of the Maidens of Rozen. The Dark Sister World of Suigintou would prove to be slightly more effective in combat than the forces of "Desu". However these would not be enough to defeat the powerful direct assaults of Kyou.

Key Intelligence Officer Ichinose would be forced to directly confront a Kugimiya Knight in order for the offensive to gain success. Engagine Master Nagi near the Rozen Space when the Knight attempted to intecpt the KyoAni Fleets. The sonic attacks of Kotomi-chan where enough to drive the Kugimiya Master from the field for the time being.

The Starfish Warriors of Fuuko would use this chaos to go around JCS territory and engage the Techno-Magi Commander Mikoto in the rear of JCS space. The Starfish weapons platforms preformed their duty well.

The Key Border World of Misuzu was engaged by the Dark Evangel, but the weakened Negima Empire was unable to gain any territory out of KyoAni Space.

The Demon Hunters of Mai, after much disciplining by the God Empress, sent their forces to Alice's World to follow up a lead provided by St. Nagato-chi. The operation was successful.

Other operations did not go as smoothly.

One operational failure was the attempt to send KyoAni Forces beyond Rozen Space to the Kannagi System of Nagi. While the Forced under Sayuri made a good effort to take the system for the God Empress, the idol power of Nagi prevailed.

In responce to the trade inbalance between the JCS and the KyoAni Empire, the Kugimiya Master Shana would pay a personal visit to the Trade World of Izumi. With a collection of collectable Shana-tans at her disposal, the Legendary Girl A was powerless to stop the Kugimiya Master this time.

The Stormtrooper of Nayuki attempted to gain access to the computers of Persocom, but the defenses, while old, were still effective on the sleeptroopers.

Assassins from Shiki were barely able to escape the notice of the Peoples of Makoto. While this is a victory for the Assassins..their goal may or may not have been reached.

The Seekers of the Sacred Uguu~ would travel to the Hakurei shrine in search for their special truth. They found no truth there was they were driven from the system by Reimu (reportedly for the theft of foodstuffs and not giving a donation).

The Gensokyo Expeditionary Force would boldly strike under the command of Remilia. The Scarlet Vampire was able to make gains by barely driving off the KyoAni Imperial Forces of Shiori.

Other efforts by the Touhou where halted as Aya's Recon of the Kingdom of Night was utterly defeated by the Loli Clones of Illya.

Marisa's search for a precious thing in the Nebula of Golden Darkness resulted in her getting lost for several days before having to resort to a spell to return her empty handed to friendly space.

The World of Knowledge was raided by the Time-Space Administration Bureau Commander Hayate. The term "overkill" was fortunately not needed even with the destruction of part of Patchy's library.

The First One was subject to an interrigation by the Time-Space Adminiistration Bureau Commander Fate. While the TSAB respected the First One, Fate still needed answers to the reason behind the appearance of the Touhou. The "befriending" was not pretty, but it was effective.

Nanoha, the best captain of the TSAB would be sent to attempt to forge an alliance with the Kingdom of Night against the Touhou Invasion. However Saber was not present, therefore Nanoha would have to go though the Red Mage first. The Tsundere mage Rin was not easy to "befriend". But through the proper application of more firepower, Nanoha was able to get at least a single dere responce to her efforts to "befriend" the Red Mage.

President Hinagiku would, after tough negotiations, gain a better contract for spice from Horo Enterprises.

Maria would regain some of her status by engaging and defeating the Red Knight Vita in open combat.

Oyashiro-sama herself would challenge the Fifth Kugimiya Knight over the actions of Master Shana. Padawan Yuuhi was overwhelmed by the L5 manuevers of Hanyuu.

Louise of the Void would engage Geass Royal Guardsmen under Commander Kallen to achieve victory for the JCS.

However Geass' Loyal forces of Anya were able to establish trade routes with the ARIA Corperation on Aquamarine.

------------------------------------------------------------
(That is all for now. I might make more up later unless someone else has some ideas for the remaining duels.)

Thanks again ithekro (and melange too). ISML is quite fun but this makes it considerably more fun.

Edit: Just one question: Is it okay to comment in this thread? If no I'm sorry as I already did it.

Not sure. I was trying to decide if I should post here or in the first tread and then move it here for the flow of things.

Doesn't matter to me. I'd just like comments and ways to improve it.

Dawn of War: (Aquamarine 4)

Image

It was a time of change. The great powers of the last war locked in conflict. Yet not all what the same as it once was. This time there was more. More engines of destruction. Newer talents to be used. Different powers in play.

Yet some things remain. The God Empress Haruhi, finally finished disciplining her own forces, would lead a charge into the Outer Rim. Her personal target was the World of Alice. A shining green world, the Empress took it mercilessly. Why she wanted this world in unclear.

St. Nagato-chi would follow Haruhi into the Outer Rim, and focus on collecting the Spice Amu from under the nose of Horo Enterprises. The raid was successful, but not overly so.

President Tomoyo and Key Advisor Kyou would lead the Clannad Republic into the Touhou held region of space to confront them over actions against member worlds of the Kanon Protectorate. Tomoyo's force would seek retribution from the Scarlet Devil Remilia herself, with devastating results. Kyou would plunder the World of Knowledge for anything Kotomi-chan might have missed.

Speaking of which, Intelligence Officer Ichinose would investigate the recent losses of Kanon Protectorate Forces. Specifically the Stormtroopers of Nayuki. The sonic procedure was said to be extremely painful.

The Elder World of Hiiragi would escort a trade mission from Izumi into Kanon Space. The Kagamin would distract the peoples of Makoto while the Izumi would make a favorable deal with the Sayuri.

Nagisa the Bold would be challenged by the Moe Marines of Mikuru following her failure against the God Empress. However the Boldness of Nagisa proved to be more than the Moe Marines could handle, and the Dango loving one was not distracted by the various cries of the Mikuru.

However the real tests were for some others. The Loli World of Mei was infiltrated by the Assassins of Shiki...but the clever lolis where able to route the assassins with precisely timed attacks.

The Starfish Warriors of Fuuko engaged the Collectors for Oyashiro-sama. Each side would overload their vessels in an effort to take the other home, but eventually resolved into a stalemate when the Warriors "zoned out" over their own starships and then the Collectors "zoned out" over the Warriors' "zoning out". The momentary distraction was enough for the Starfish Warriors to escape capture.

The Key Border World of Misuzu would send aid to the Sickly World of Shiori. Their efforts may not be enough to rescue the people of this battered world.

After being swept aside of the Core by Nagato, Witch-Regent C.C. shifted her focus towards the rear of the KyoAni Empire and struck a blow for her consort. Attacking the Demon Warriors of Mai produced a much needed victory for the Geass Regency.

The Royal Guard under Kallen also struck a blow, but to the venerable JCS by engaging their rear positions under guard from the Heralds of Azumanga. The "Osaka" stations were defeated giving the Regency an opening for later engagements.

The Loyal Anya however was unable to enter the Kingdom of Night. The Loli Clones of Illya were more than a match for her forces.

The Kugimiya Knights would be tested in this war -- none more so than Master Shana. Her new apprentice, Taiga, eagar and willing, had grown impatient. Taiga wished to pass the trials and become a full Kugimiya Knight. To do so she faced Master Shana in a duel, but the master was not going to fall to whom she still considered a child with a sword. Taiga failed her early trials. "You have much to learn, Young Aisaka, but you will learn well."

Master Nagi was dealing with the Seekers of Uguu~ and their entry into HnG held space. The Seekers, ever hungry, where not above stealing food. The Kugimiya Master was forced to drive the thieves back into KyoAni Space.

Kagimiya Padawan Yuuhi however was able to score her first victory, against the Kannagi Theocracy.

Protector Reimu would launch her own assault against the Time-Space Administration Bureau after the blatant attack on the World of Knowledge. Commander Hayate was unable to muster enough firepower to resist the "Poor Shrine Maiden"...or maybe she was just thinking about dressing up Reinforce II to look like Reimu....

Aya, in an attempt to support Reimu with a fast attack force, was unable to outrun the Lightning Force of Fate.

Marisa, Black Witch of Gensokyo, attempted to enter the Dragon Dominion, but the Blue Dragons of Ami were not about to let such a "common thief" into their region of space.

The HnG Combine was in the process of a potential merger with the the JCS. The Red Dragons of Minorin would arrive in an effort to negotiate terms with President Hinagiku. Hinagiku's terms were more one sided than Minori's and negotiations were canceled for the time being.

The Kingdom of Night's Saber would seek out and engage KyoAni's Balsamic Fleet as it returned from the Maidens of Rozen territory. After a hard fight, the Younger World of Hiiragi would need to rebuild its once great fleet, while the Sovereign would stand firm.

The Kingdom's Red Mage (Rin) would proceed to the far side of the galaxy and engage the Dark Evangel in an effort to remove the last of the Negima threat from the galaxy. While the Red Mage was unable to destroy the vampire loli forever, she did drive the Negima farther from the core.

Despite the stalemate at the KyoAni Border, the Cult of Oyashiro-sama would strike sounding blows in other parts of the galaxy. The World of Rika-chama would have resounding success against the Yellow Blade of Kirino.

And while this is happening, the Mysterious World of Hanyuu would debate shipping rights with Horo Enterprises. In talks that were said to be of godly proportions, the Cult of Oyashiro-sama gained a favorable contract for spice out of Horo.

The Techno-Magi of Index would expand their relatively new influenace across the stars. Magi Commander Index would confront the Red Queen of Blades, Tamaki personally to spread the will of the JCS to the Outer Rim. Meanwhile Techno Commander Misaka had a dispute over the nature of magic and technology with the Red Knight of Darkness, Vita.

Despite the damage being done to fellow First Ones of the Heralds of Azumanga, the remaining First Ones would are holding their own in the CLAMP Cluster. The First One, Sakura, was able to subdue the Kagimiya Knight, Louise of the Void, in open combat.

Persocom was able to deflect the advances of the Red Sister World of Shinku out from Rozen Space. The Chii's defenses are strong.

The Garden World of Suiseiseki was able to advance on the Planet Aquamarine. The waters of that world would be excellent for her gardens...or so the Desu thought anyway.

The Battle of the Voice, while usually the grandest when fought between Kagimiya Knights, was instead fought on the border of the HnG Combine and Rozen Space. The Dark World of Suigintou would engage the Legendary Maria, would has been said to be impersonating the head doll of Suigintou. While Maria is a legend...the dark voice of Suigintou won the Battle of the Voice.

The White Devil would be sent to investigate strange reading from inside the Nebula of the Golden Darkness. Upon reaching the center, Nanoha would find a world that others had missed. On this world she found a creature that reminded her of her friend, Fate. This individual, Yami, would attempt to assassinate Nanoha. However the White Devil is not so easily put down. The cry of "Shoot!" and a "befriending" later, the White Devil left the Nebula of the Golden Darkness.

This is getting better! I'm wondering if the narrative should try to be more storytelling or continue to be like an after action report... :?:

Nice job! :D

Re: [STORY] Dawn of War (Aquamarine)

Easy enough to fix.

And I'm not sure which way to go either. The main problem is that because it is round robin, and everyone will face everyone else, sometimes the momentum of a story will be side-tracked or even lost because a character or empire goes from an engagement on one side of the galaxy to the other with little reason at times, or is forced to engage some "friendly" elements of their own faction.

The charcter engagements are...almost random, so the hot spots can shift more rapidly that it would in a military campaign.

One round the God Empress is attacking the Outer Rim, the next she is attacking the Touhou, then she's off to have a cosraping session with Mikuru, it doesn't always head in a direction for storytelling...especially if one thinks of this as a War with Campaigns and epic battles. The "frontline" so to speak, doesn't move all that much because the map placements of the "stars" are on a fixed axal of the wheel. The spheres of influence move coreward or rimward and expand and contract along a set path. Thus the KyoAni Empire can't take systems in the other side of the core, nor will the the JCS be able to make a lasting flanking attack into Key Space by setting up a forward base on Fuuko or Misuzu.

So what does that leave?

Well the way you are doing is actually quite good. I liked how you were able to label battles when the characters are from the same side.

Dawn of War: (Aquamarine 5)

Balance had been reached in the Core Worlds and strife reigns in the Outer Rim. KyoAni Imperial Forces, wishing to expand the influence of the God Empress Haruhi to other regions of space, sent forth many small squadrons to the distant corners of the galaxy.

However the Kanon Protectorate, charged with maintaining the Empire's rimward regions, seems to taking the brunt of minor offensives against the rule of Haruhi. The Daemon Hunters of Mai were able to stop a pirate attack against a convoy of the Spice Amu sent to the Empire by St. Nagato-chi. The precious spice must flow.

The Sickly World of Shiori was attacked by the Kingdom of Night's Red Mage (Rin). The motives for this attack are not clear, but it might be to keep the Empire off balance just enough to keep the God Empress from mounting a full Coreward assault.

Kagimiya Padawan Taiga, after failing her trails, would go deep into KyoAni Space in search for an answer to her problems. The Kind Peoples of Sayuri would take the young knight in, despite the open conflict in the galaxy. The Padawan may or may not have found her answer, but she defeated some of her ghosts on Sayuri.

The Animalist People of Makoto were sent out by the God Empress to engage the Brave Blade World of Kirino. While the Empress had been less than pleased with the Makoto, the price for failure drove the Makoto to victory...even though it was extremely costly in terms of lives on both sides.

Meanwhile the Seekers of the Sacred Uguu~ would return to Kanon Space after much wandering. The Stormtroopers of Nayuki would attempt to bring them in and keep them from wandering off yet again, but the Sleeptroopers just cannot catch their ship the Ayu.

The Stars of Fortune would send the refitted Balsamic Fleet with the Legendary Girl A deep into the JCS. Their target was to draw out the Kagimiya Knights. To do this the Balsamic Fleet of Hiiragi would attack the Techno-Magi world of Index. The surprise attack caught Magi Commander Index out of position and the KyoAni force was able to do some damage to their outer system forces.

This did bring the desired result as the Kagimiya Padawan Yuuhi raced to the Index System to lend aid. She was intercepted by the Legendary Girl A, who though not strong enough to take on Master Shana, was more than able to defeat a Padawan.

The Elder Hiiragi Fleet under Kagamin would head to the Loli World of Mei to deliver supplies and materials for the Loli Warriors continual fight for the God Empress. Some disputes over pricing ended in the Hiiragi's favor, as they are immune to the the Loli Warriors more deadly psychological weapons.

President Tomoyo would head out to the Key Border World of Misuzu to help shore up the defensive stations. Her personal touch was needed it seems.

Nagisa the Bold would cheat death by the blade of the Assassins of Shiki. The rising star of the Clannad Republic was just happy to be alive.

Key Advisor Kyou would enter Touhou Space to directly confront Protector Reimu while the Starfish Warriors of Fuuko would challenge the sanity of the Scarlet Devil by copying every single one of Remilia's spellcards, but replacing every bullet with a starfish. While Kyou was able to defeat Reimu in Touhou Space, she was unable to end the invasion.

Key Intelligence Officer Ichinose would head to the old realm of the Maidens of Rozen to gather updated information about them for the God Empress. As dangerous and powerful as this region used to be, Kotomi-chan was able to gain her information by entering via the space near the Red World of Shinku.

St. Nagato-chi would lead a personal raid against the Planet Persocom. She had head rumors of the Legend of the Chii and the Hideki. Yuki wished to gain more information of this legend for when she might have to confront the God Empress Haruhi over the attentions of the First Dog Soldier Kyon. The data retrieval was successful beyond words.

Meanwhile the God Empress Haruhi had taken her Moe Marines aside in an effort to retrain them with new and exciting moe modes. The efforts to add "chocolate covered moe" did not meet with initial success, but efforts to institute a new crying moe mode was successful.

The Cult of Oyashiro-sama, while driven from the Core Worlds, was still spreading their faith around the galaxy. The Mikos of Rika-chama would subvert elements of the Geass Royal Guardsmen from under Commander Kallen's nose.

Meanwhile the Mysterious Hanyuu would set out the "kawaii" sensor net near the Dragon Dominion world of Minori. The sonic attack made by Hanyuu was too much for the Red Dragons.

Finally the Collectors of Oyashiro-sama, turning their attention away from KyoAni Space, would intercept the Red Knight of Darkness (Vita) and rapidly collect her as a prize.

The Kingdom of Night, experiencing renewed faith, would send forth more troops and ships for their own goals. Saber would move to expand her kingdom out to the world of Aquamarine.

The Loli Clones of Illya would embark on a deadly mission to strike at the Maidens of Rozen. The Clones would land and engage the Forces of Desu~ on the Garden World of Suiseiseki. After much combat the Forces of Desu~ were forced to fall back, leaving the field to the nearly spent Clones.

The Dark World of Suigintou would however lead a glorious campaign into JCS space to engage Techno-Magi Commander Mikasa. While the battle was fierce, Suigintou eventually turned the Techno Commander's Forces into junk.

The HnG Combine President Hinagiku would match blades with the Red Queen Tamaki of the Brave Blade World. The pink haired president came out the better for the fight.

Maria was loaded to aid the Kugimiya Knights engage the Touhou. Her forces engaged the World of Knowledge with skill and precision.

Kugimiya Master Shana and Knight Louise would engage other Touhou forces that attempted to aid the World of Knowledge. Shana intercepted the Black Mage Marisa and defeated her soundly in open combat. Louise of the Void would neutralize the Master of the Wind, Aya, but not quite as soundly as Master Shana did.

Kagimiya Master Nagi was forced to question the Time-Space Administration Bureau over their actions in Touhou Space. Hayate was unable to overcome Master Nagi.

The White Devil would enter the Dragon Dominion in an effort to better relations between the TSAB and the JCS. The Blue Dragons of Ami did not wish to discuss the matter at first, but with some encouragement, a "befriending" became reality.

Commander Fate would head into the Geass Regency in an effort to spot their advances into the Core World. Engaging the Loyal Retainers of Anya, Fate's Lightning Force managed to push the Regency back farther from the Core.

Witch-Regent C.C. was not going to give up, but required more resources in order to regain her position. With this in mind, the Regency invaded Alice's World. The operation was successful, and the Witch-Regent hopes this effort will allow her to press into the Core Worlds again soon.

Horo Enterprises, wishing to reassert their hold on the spice trade, would go to the Theocracy of Kannagi. While it was difficult at first, Horo Enterprises was able to establish trade routes via religion so the Nagi would understand.

The JCS, in and effort to gain the blessing of the First One, sent their own first one race, the Heralds of Azumanga, to speak with the First One. The JCS did not know, because they did not remember, that Sakura and Kasuga have a rivalry older than the stars themselves. The results were the same however. The First One asserted her role at the original ruler of the galaxy over the Heralds, who had to once again flee to JCS held space in defeat.

The Dark Evangel would head out from her lonely corner of the galaxy upon hearing rumors of survivors of the last war hiding deep in the Nebula of the Golden Darkness. The rumors could not be proven as the assassins under Yami would thwart Evangeline's every attempt to find any remains of the Negima Empire that might have managed to escape.

With the mention of Hideki, I was expecting a seiyuu joke, but what you wrote fits a lot better.

I was going to make that a seiyuu joke, but then I realized that for that joke to work.
A. Someone would have to know the seiyuu for both series.
B. The way the joke would have worked is if Haruhi vs. Yuki was in the near future.
C. The Second Season of Haruhi came out.

Haruhi vs. Yuki is Diamond 9...the last match. So Instead of a straight seiyuu joke I instead made a possible implied joke that happens to fit the situation.

As for Taiga...that was luck. Having that story right after her loss made it work.

I'm still trying to decide where the "Sacred Uguu~" is located. I figure it is with either Minori or Hanyuu.

(Suggested name changes will probably take effect in Topaz 1.)

While it would take a much greater effort to maintain, I'm interested in seeing a way to archive these stories sorted by character. That way, when it's all over, you can read 63 blurbs of one contestant's progression through space.

I need to get more familar with Microsoft Access.

That would be a bit of work since some of the stories pharagraphs use four or more characters at a time as if the campaign was a group effort on one side against another. Though that also means you'd just have the same text repeated in each of the four girls' files.

So far I've tried to keep the matches in groups, though this is not always the case as some get scattered or moved into others sections because it reads better. In the last one, Taiga should be in with the other Kugimiya Knights, but instead she's listed in the KyoAni section because it fit better in the narrative with all the Kanon characters.
