[STORY] From The Ashes (2014)

Post by blaZofgold » Fri Jan 03, 2014 12:17 pm

On January 3rd, 2014, the first ray of light struck the universe.

It had been a long period of darkness for both the Nova and Stella galaxies. Certainly, the Great Moe Wars waged on, and the furious clashes of the KyoAni Empire and the Joint Council of Stars still shook the planets from their orbits. However, the lack of coverage of these Dark Ages have been telling. New powers have arisen; new alliances have formed. What the light reveals is an entirely new world, a world where the previous wars have long since turned to legend. This is a new age, a new era of conquest, a new period of combat. As the powerhouses rally their support from around the galaxies, as each planet beams in its representative to fight on the universe stage, the light shines brightly across every star, every sun, and every commanding officer's face, ushering in the bright tomorrow.

Some things, however, are better kept in the dark.

Re: [STORY] History of the Wars

Post by blaZofgold » Sat Jan 04, 2014 2:30 am

The First Great Moe War was mainly a rout by the KyoAni Empire which completely decimated the multiple stages of the war. The Tenuous Alliance barely held together as every commanding officer fell victim to the armies of Key Advisor Kyou and notably the Legendary Kagamin under the command of God Empress Haruhi. Leaving brave Master Shana to hold a strategic point, the rest of the Tenuous Alliance scrambled in a hasty retreat, the alliance quickly dissolving. During this time of chaos, the mercenary SHAFT Empire's Setsuna performed a heroic feat in flanking the mighty Kyou and starting the chain of events that would lead to the Goddess's downfall. Thinking that the galaxy was theirs for the taking, KyoAni arrogantly sent their Empress into battle against the disarray of enemy troops as a show of force and total domination. Little did they know that the Time-Space Administration Bureau, led by the White Devil Nanoha, launched a daring operation with Lightning Commander Fate to ambush the Empress. The plan was successful, and the KyoAni Empire withdrew the entirety of their forces. Peace was restored to the galaxy.

Soon after, with the mighty KyoAni Empire in confusion and panic, the various members of the former Tenuous Alliance, along with a number of mercenary groups, began to fight among themselves in a power struggle. The mercernary group Maiden of Rozen's top three commanders, Red Shinku, Garden Suiseiseki, and Dark Sugintou, performed spectacularly in interstellar duels, their legendary feats recounted across the planets. Once again, the Grand Systems of the Joint Council of Stars' figurehead Master Shana and newcomer HnG Combine's President de æquitate Hinagiku performed extraordinarily well in the heat of battle. The Empire was not to be discounted: Intelligence Officer St. Nagato-chi Yuki and President of the Clannad Republic Tomoyo stepped up in the place of their Empress to exert the Empire's dominance. But this war was not to be won by power or by strength, but by eagerness and determination to aim for the top. President of the HnG Combine Hinagiku, in a fateful battle of the century, outsmarted and outplayed the more experienced Master Shana in a bid for ultimate control over the galaxy. She succeeded, but the close victory called for all military groups to withdraw their forces and prepare for the next clash.

The Third Great Moe War was another epic clash between the omnipresent KyoAni Empire and the rising Grand Systems of the Joint Council of Stars. With new commanders Guardian of the Dragons Master Taiga and Techno-Commander Misaka, now Grand Master Shana made a huge blitzkrieg operation into the heart of the Empire. While Intelligence Officer Yuki's brave defense and Wing Commander Mio "the Shy" made a daring preemptive strike, nothing could stop the Flame Haze as she went on to decimate the competition, cleaving a path to the throne. Just when all seemed hopeless for the KyoAni Empire, K-onsonance rallied their forces and sent Mio in again to face the Grand Master in a battle to determine the fate of the galaxy. In an unexpected twist of events, Wing Commander Mio edged out a decisive victory and protected the Empire's hold on the galaxy. The Joint Council of Stars retreated, still licking their wounds, to fight another day.

The Grand Systems of the Joint Council of Stars had tried to overthrow the mighty KyoAni Empire for three whole wars. Where they could not succeed, mercenary groups and small-name individuals like Fate and Hinagiku were able to triumph. But JCS was not done. Having recruited the HnG Combine and assimilated their strategies, the Joint Council of Stars was ready to fight again, sending out their top three commanders into the frontlines. What they found there was quite shocking to the Council: much of the Empire was already in chaos and destruction, being whittled away by new powerhouses that were rising from the dust. The DEEN Directorate's Necromancer Representative Eucliwood was a fearsome warrior, capable of matching arms with Intelligence Officer Yuki, the only representative of the Empire left. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the secretive Order of the Lotus was stretching out its roots and seizing decisive points of influence around the galaxy. SSS Brigade's Councilor Kanade was successful in setting up outposts in multiple planets, forming a seemingly impenetrable interplanetary fortress. The Aperture Interstellar Conglomerate's KRA Polyarchy sent their Hierophant, Prophet Kuroneko of the Order, to capture and hold an entire stellar system. The JCS was undaunted. Determined to win, the Techno-Magi of Index made a daring play and pushed their Commander Misaka to a electrifying victory.

However, in the course of the final battle, the plasmic energies and quantic radiation were so immense and powerful that a warp in the time-space continuum was created. As Misaka fired one last Railgun to silence her enemies, the pent-up energy exploded and the warp became a stable passage to an entirely new galaxy. Awestruck and bewildered, the powerhouses withdrew and began to plan for this new change. The major powers dispatched expeditionary squads to the new galaxy in order to set up dominance and extend their reach. Smaller powers were forced to decide which galaxy had the greatest potential for their rise in status. And the Corporate Sector, now teeming with new and rising mercenary groups, became split as famed and infamous individuals traveled between galaxies to conquer new lands and new opponents.

Thus began the Second Era of the Great Moe Wars.

To be continued...

Re: [STORY] History of the Wars (cont.)

Post by blaZofgold » Tue Jan 07, 2014 6:00 pm

The Fifth Great Moe War was a far cry from the original. Gone was the overpowering domination of the KyoAni Empire. Certainly her Empress Haruhi was not slacking in duties, and Wing Commander Mio still shined as a star commander in her conquests of the Stella Galaxy. But it was just not the same. With their forces in dire straits, the Empire had no choice but to wait quietly and bide their time. With the rise of the Grand Systems of the Joint Council of Stars, the KyoAni Empire seized what they could to maximize their options. But the Council was not the same Council as before. Grand Master Shana was no longer the dominant figure in galactic operations: Master Taiga and Techno-Commander Misaka became the core team that executed the JCS dominance. Over in the Nova Galaxy, things were a lot different, for the Privateers of the KyoAni Empire became an unbelievably dominant threat. The SSS Brigade, led by Councilor Tachibana Kanade, soon did in Nova what the Empire could not in Stella. Other expeditionary groups of major powers, including the DEEN Directorate Expansionist Region and Andromeda Interstellar Combat Defense Forces, also proved to be quite strong in their own right, led by Occult Coven leader Eucliwood and KRA Polyarchy Hierophant Ruri. The move to the new galaxy proved exceptionally beneficial for the trio of commanders as they led a charge to the top, completely dominating the Nova galaxy. In the final intergalactic battle, where the separated powers from both galaxies reunite once more, it was Combat Priestess Tenshi of the Order Kanade who exploded like a supernova on the battlefield in a bold and daring statement that the Great Moe Wars would now be led by the new generation.

Not much is known about the Sixth Moe War, for during the outbreak of the conflict the two pulsars collided and sent a massive soundwave throughout the entirety of the universe, completely disabling all communication technologies. From the reports gathered very recently by field investigators and the spacevine rumors, the superstars of Nova from the Fifth Moe War all hypertransferred to Stella, leaving the budding galaxy to fresh new commanders to show their talents. These talents consisted of Blood Knight Asuna, Sorceress of the Tyrant's Eye Rikka, and the commander prodigy White Canvas Mashiro who was undefeated on the battlefield. In Stella, the new trinity of leaders, Kanade, Eucliwood, and Ruri, along with the Council's last hope Misaka battled it out in the planets and stars. While Kanade still displayed superhuman strength and skill, the Polyarchy had fate on their side, and Hierophant Ruri seized a decisive and final victory.

Re: [STORY] Status Update - KyoAni Empire

Post by blaZofgold » Tue Jan 28, 2014 5:36 pm

The mighty KyoAni Empire, once the dominating force in all Saimoe affairs, had slowly over the years become a shadow of its former glory. Despite the continual strength of Key and Non-Key officers like Intelligence Officer Yuki, Flight Captain Asuza, Wing Commander Mio, and Nagisa the Bold, the Empire has not managed to hold a dominate position in the final clashes of the war for years. With such stagnation, it is no wonder that the Empire has turned for help.

Enter the Privateers of Atlantis, formerly known as the Privateers of the KyoAni Empire (Provisional). Led by the enigmatic and soft-spoken Combat Priestess Kanade, the Privateers were the first group to make major headway in a battlefield dominated by the Empire and the Council. Featuring the powerful SSS Brigade, the Privateers have shown consistently dominant results throughout the entire war, results equaling if not exceeding those of the Empire.

Recently, the KyoAni Empire and the Privateers of Atlantis have formed a mutual defense alliance. This treaty, dubbed the Key Alliance, joins the Privateers to the Empire and gives them access to a wealth of resources and influence that they otherwise would not have been able to acquire. In return, the Privateers now fight under the Empire as mercenaries in hopes of perhaps reviving the domination that it had in the early wars.

But perhaps this joint venture was not necessary, as young and promising officers were slowly surfacing in the ranks of the vast KyoArmy. Sorceress of the Tyrant's Eye Rikka, Mori Summer Shinka, Priestess Tōka, and Goddess of the Rice Fields Eru performed exceptionally well under the name of KyoAni in the Sixth War, all displaying solid results even in the aftermath of the conflict. And with the advent of the Seventh War, there are hopes that the new squadron Boundary of the Shades can bring in new life to the old, but still fighting, Empire of the God Empress Haruhi.

Re: [STORY] Status Update - Joint Council of Stars

Post by blaZofgold » Wed Jan 29, 2014 10:44 pm

The Grand Systems of the Joint Council of Stars has been the Rebels against the powerful hand of the KyoAni Empire since the very first war. Led by Grand Master Shana, the Council hosts a large amount of the renowned Kugimiya Knights, namely Master Taiga, Master Nagi, Knight Louise of the Void, and Padawan Aria of Holmes. While they failed to match the Empire in the early wars, by the Fourth War the Council grew to be a veritable threat and a unshakeable powerhouse alongside their former nemesis. Thanks to the addition of the Techno-Magi of Index and the electrifying performance of Techno-Commander Misaka, the Council was able to finally overtake the Empire in an explosive and legendary battle.

However, things have been changing for this veteran group as well. Misaka is finding it ever more difficult to match strides with the new Triumvirate of Kanade, Kuroneko, and Eucliwood. Former intergalactic hero President de æquitate Hinagiku is slowly fading into obscurity, and none of the Kugimiya Knights can demonstrate the prowess that they once flaunted on the battlefield. And now that the Privateers have allied with the Empire, bringing Councilor Kanade with them, the Council must find new ways to keep their enemy in check.

Not all hope is lost, however. The new group Colors of Sakurasou brought along with it Blue Siren Nanami and the undefeated White Canvas Mashiro, who was literally unstoppable in the Nova galaxy. On a smaller scale, the Buster Brigade (S) made an impact as well on the Nova scene, with leading figures like Nekomancer Rin and Inumancer Kudryavka. While many of these officers won't be war-breaking and pivotal, it is expected that Mashiro, who is entering the Stella galaxy as a genius prodigy, will surely be making waves in the coming battles.

Prospects look bright for the Council. The Frowning Cat troupe is scheduled to have its showings for the Council in a few days, and much hyped are the talents of Meat Bun Tsukiko and Red Bean Bread Azusa. Age of Gold's Golden Princess Kōko is also scheduled to make a flashy impact and just might take the Council by surprise.

Re: [STORY] Status Update - Aperture Interstellar Confederat

Post by blaZofgold » Thu Jan 30, 2014 7:21 am

NOTE: The title is not long enough to hold the entire name of this group. Is there a way to fix this?

Behind the Empire and the Council is a rapidly rising power, the multiple polyarchys that make up the Aperture Interstellar Confederation (formerly Conglomerate). Created in the Fourth Great Moe War, the Confederation sports a host of talented individuals; however, the focus of this major power is in the groups. From the Angels of Polyarchy to the KRA Polyarchy to the Friendship Corps, the Confederation prides itself in bringing numerous commanders and officers to the battle all at once, an overwhelming show of force as well as a tactical military maneuver. Despite a relatively democratic order amongst the upper echelons of the Confederation, most people would point to Hierophant Ruri, Prophet Kuroneko of the Order, as the leading figure in all Confederation affairs. Other notable members include Polemarch Kirino, Archon Ayase, Friend of the Vampires Kobato, and designated Meat Sena. The AIC cannot be underestimated by any means, as they were the winning party in the most recent Great Moe War.

Things are only looking up for this group of uprising stars. Though the Angels of Polyarchy may be slipping into obscurity, nothing can cover up the raging stormclouds that are gathering above the Confederation. The Data Archetype Liberators are almost guaranteed to take Nova by a storm in an unprecedented manner. Boasting the enigmatic Time Nightmare Kurumi, the eager Sand Princess Tōka, the quiet Frost Hermit Yoshino, the brash Flame Efreet Kotori, and the cold Thousand Crane Origami. Expect to see more of the Confederation, as these polyarchys will stop at nothing to be called the best of the best.

Re: [STORY] Status Update: Order of the Lotus

Post by blaZofgold » Fri Jan 31, 2014 5:54 pm

What's a good status report without a bit of conspiracy theory?

Among the two unique clans found within the ruling powers, the Order of the Lotus is definitely the more mysterious, the more discreet one. Their counterparts, the Kugimiya Knights, are all found within the Council and belong in the role of "partially-leaked-national-secret." The Order, however, is bound by no nation, no ties, no following except a strange kinship between the members that make up the clan. Their motives and ways are so hidden that many people consider them to be a cult, one with the power to influence entire galaxies.

While the members of the Order remain largely unknown, a few notable figures have been confirmed to be part of this underground clique. Two of the Trinity, Councilor Kanade and Hierophant Ruri, belong to the Order, which causes great distress between the other dominant forces in the Moe warfront. The KyoAni Empire debated long and hard about whether to accept the Privateers and their secretive leader, but ultimately chose to reaffirm their control over the galaxies rather than concern themselves with conspiracy. The Council wholeheartedly denounces this decision and is fired up to take both the Empire and the Order down a notch. The Confederation, on the other hand, practically worships Prophet Kuroneko as their savior and leader. The other members of the varying polyarchys wholeheartedly support Ruri's ventures with the Order and readily accept the pact that she has made with other Lotus members.

However, the rumors of conspiracy cannot be quenched. The last two wars have been won by a member of the Lotus, and with the strength of Kanade still not diminishing, there have been whispers that Kuroneko's recent victory was merely a hand off from one Order leader to another. Certainly, given that the Privateers are a mercenary group and the Confederation is at Ruri's beck and call, it is no stretch of the imagination to formulate the possibility of a secret alliance and a underground seizure of power by the enigmatic Order of the Lotus. Only time will tell if the motives of the clan are pure or not.

Already, other powers have been targeting Lotus members for inquisition and detailed supervision. Shaft Empire's Commander Nadeko "the Snake" is under extremely heavy fire from her Ghosts of the Nebula comrades - it seems that her ties with the Order, along with some other events within her realm (something about "evil Medusa god"), is causing a lot of strife in this group. Luckily, most of the other Order members are either Corporately employed or safe within the arms of the Confederation. The last thing this intergalactic war needs is the persecution of a specific sect of officers.
