Welcome back all to the Seitokai polls, where you, the Community will vote for the candidates available for each Seitokai role. And we start with the most important: Seitokaichou role !

The poll will run for forty-eight (48) hours.

(1) Kinoshita Seiichi (Shirobako)

The genius behind many "masterpiece" anime such as Exodus!, The 3rd Aerial Girls Squad, and Jiggly Jiggly Heaven, Director Kinoshita's credentials in leadership and creativity can no longer be questioned. He has led the staff of Musashino Animation on their many projects and undertakings, through muds and rain that he himself created, and now he's willing to lend us his mind and effort to turn ISML Seitokai into once again a place of many joys and laughs, while keeping its many duty and responsibilities in check.

(2) Reinhard von Lohengramm (Legend of Galactic Heroes)

One of the two most influential leaders in the history of mankind, Reinhard was the champion of the renaissance of legalism on the Galactic Empire. He's responsible for banishing old feudalism along with the old Galactic Empire, and form the New Galactic Empire.
Unfortunate that many may misunderstood his life and work, as ultimately it's no different than dictatorism, and that his ideals of a just, kind, but powerful government that strives for the good of its people may easily be buried under his charismatic presence, and then forgotten.
But here, in ISML Seitokai, should you guys give it, he may once again have a chance to create a government that, hopefully, this time, can rely on ideal, instead of public figure.

and this time, ain't no stupid plot-convenient disease can stop him.

(3) Gilgamesh (Fate series)

The King of Heroes, Gilgamesh is arrogant, selfish to the core, and is obsessed with gaining all the treasures in this world. But his no-bullshit methods had allowed him to bring Uruk into great prosperity, as he cemented his name as a great hero and one of the greatest ruler to ever walked on this earth. He deals everyone equal as he sees them all as lower than himself as the perfect judge, to rule over the world once, and possibly to rule over ISML.

Also, he's rich as fck so the seitokai will not have much budget problem.

(4) Enoshima Junko (Danganronpa)

"The double-masked psychopath, and the mastermind of the world's destruction has come to us and offer her analytical skills and magnificent leadership to the use of the Seitokai. While we don't know what is her true goal, we do know that she intends to bring the seitokai back into activity, thus that for now her goal is aligned with us.

The committee will put a close watch on her activity while maintaining its stance in this free democratic process."

(5) Nakamura Yuri (Angel Beats!)

Nakamura Yuri is the charismatic leader of the SSS, a bunch of misfits stranded in an unknown dimension of the afterlife, but with an ultimate goal of assuring the survival of its members as a person. Yurippe has led her group to war with Tenshi since time immemorable. She usually plays a big sister role to everyone, but, when required, she can bring the best out of them. What she has done for so long at SSS is truly a feat in man-management! and might be what the currently-uninspired Seitokai exactly needs right now.

(6) Hanekawa Tsubasa (Bakemonogatari)

Hanekawa... isn't exactly what you call a leader.
Hanekawa Tsubasa is soft-spoken, reliable, diligent, and an overachiever. While this earns her admiration, it also makes her often the subject of roles that most teenage students aren't really interested in, such as class representative.

and maybe, the post of ISML Seitokaichou.

ps.: Don't get it wrong. We know she will do the job pretty well if elected, as she had done with all her previous jobs.

(7) Tange Junko (WakeUp Girls!)

The realistic image of a president of a small entertainment agency in Japan. who does nothing. who runs away with all the money her slaves professional idols earn and spend it on some random stuff. who somehow gets her job done anyway.
But maybe, such intricacies are what the Seitokai currently needs.

(8) Fuyumi Irisu (Hyouka)

"The Empress", as she is often referred, Fuyumi Irisu wears a majestic aura beyond her often pragmatic and cunning approach to a problem. Thanks to her family background, Irisu knows the way of the politic of rich families and influential, and has often shown the tricks she has learned into dealing with the more-complicated daily life issues. While there are some who disagree with her rule of things, her seemingly cruel but straight-forward method usually gets the job done, and it should serve well in her tenure as ISML Seitokaichou.

I'm pretty sure the first seitokai was by the book as far as plots and characterization is concerned. But then again, back then, the seitokai was very bare-bones as far as the idea itself is concerned, mainly there to announce things from the staff to the forum members in a fun way, with basically one-line comments from each of the seitokai members concerning the announcement. Later on, it got progressively longer and complex as more involved scenarios were written, and then entire plotlines that spanned several CDs. I think the height of that was when I was writing for the seitokai around 2014 or so. The problem with those long detailed scenarios is balancing canon characterization and keeping the readers' interest for the scenario. With multiple writers, that balance is easily upset. That lack of cohesion was one of the reasons why I stopped contributing as a seitokai writer, among other personal issues. I actually haven't kept up with the seitokai for a few years now, so I have very little clue on what it's like recently.

As far as the amount of comedy is concerned, I don't see that as an issue as long as characters stay within their canon personalities. And that's not saying the characters should only be involved in scenarios that they'd be familiar with in their own series, but that that they should react to any scenario (however absurd) in a manner that would closely emulate how they would react if encountering the same scenario in their own series. And yes, that's not always doable depending on the specific character and what type of series they come from, but I think that's better than the seitokai devolving into fanfiction.net levels of stories (which I'm not saying the seitokai is, by the way).

1. It's a Seitokai. The only one with experience of slaving a bunch of students is Yurippe. But most importantly: she knows of true despair.
2. She's everything Yurippe has but one quality: having real loyalty from people. Actually, there's only one people who ever truly loyal to her: her sister.
3. He's an otaku and works in anime. Ofc he knows the feeling of being the lowest, most disgusting scum of society.
4. Hanekawa is not a leader. She's just diligent. But the feeling of being weak and being the lowest, ofc she knows it too well.
5. The biggest downfall of Irisu as a leader is that she was born on that spot. She is not made for the spot of a leader. She's just born there, thus has no option but to play her role to survive. But she knows of suffering, of being forced to wear that iron mask, of not having any choice but to wear it, of not being able to take it off.
6. The chosen one doesn't have one thing: a taste of being the weakest. If you don't learn to make peace with despair, you won't ever be able to understand it. But you will never be able to make peace with despair when you never even meet it.
7. Same reason as Reinhard.
Here's where Yurippe stood above Reinhard and Gilgamesh: is that when "that" happened, Yurippe was totally weak, and bcs she's weak, not only that happened, but furthermore her world started to fall apart bcs of that. It leaves not only the feeling of being very weak, but also the feeling of being the lowest human being, one with nothing, "but despair in that deep dark abyss where there's the lashing of teeth." She learned of despair and then how to get along with it. Reinhard and Gilgil know the feel of losing your most loved one, and they know well of fear, but they were never weak. Reinhard were low in social class (among his peers,) but he's always a genius. Gilgamesh were never low.

0. One may think that her life is hard, but it doesn't change it that in the end, she's just puppet with no real ability whatsoever.
