Which VNs are eligible to nominate characters from?
-The VN must appear in this database (vndb).
-The VN cannot have the Fan-fiction tag.
-The VN must not have been adapted into a TVA series, movie, or long OVA/ONA up to 2014.

Which characters are eligible?
-The character must be female and humanoid.
-She must be significant to the plot (no cameos).

You may nominate up to 10 characters, with a maximum of 5 per VN.

So there's DEFINITELY no rule against characters from non-Japanese VNs? And I mean non-Japanese VNs which aren't Katawa Shoujo.

I know none of them would have any chance of getting in and that I've just outed myself as someone whose read English VNs. But choosing a list of 10 girls might be fun.

I don't see the need to differentiate Katawa Shoujo from other non-Japanese VNs. If Katawa Shoujo is eligible, then the staff has no reason other than bias to disqualify other non-Japanese VNs.

Sorry, I guess I wanted to ask since besides Katawa Shoujo non-Japanese VNs do have a bad rep. I specifically called out Katawa Shoujo because it could easily be the only English VN to be nominated.

So I got ten girls. (I actually forgot I imported Mother Goose no Himitsu no Yakata until I started the post... I don't understand Japanese at all and just got it for the nursery rhyme illustrations.)

On another note, I hear that anime such as Grisaia no Kajitsu are planned to have an anime adaptation, but no one knows when. If it turns out it airs in 2014, then we will have to disqualify these VNs.
