It looked close early on but Komoe won her match. Cecily couldn't even hold on to second, that's no good. Yui won her match. Hope she (or Mafuyu) can win against Hitagi.

Mikoto could of used that extra boost here (if she didn't already use it). I think she has enough support from earlier this year to win today's match. If she makes it to the block finals, she will need that extra reserve from the new index series (which will air either that same day or the following day) to win the block from K-ON (or Poplar or Momo)

Mikoto shouldn't have a problem with her block; the same can be said for Mio. What I am concerned about is the second block of Group G. Although Azusa still has some K-ON!! material on her side, I wouldn't count out Momo. She is actually someone Azusa should be concerned about if she wants to win. Poplar has a chance to win, but I cannot see that happening. For Group H, Fate is certain to win, since I do not think her competition is that strong. I think Ruiko has an edge against Tsumigi and Shouko. The last block is literally a toss up, since all three of them have around the same number of votes. Amu would most likely win. I can picture Ai winning, but it may be hard since Conan was a long time ago, even with new material coming up. I would like Fumino to win, but, again, I cannot see that happening.

As for today, my votes are for Mikoto and Ruiko.

Failed just a wee bit? There was one major upset last year (Hina/Yui doesn't count because that was the third round). We nearly had two this year. Mikoto found a way to win and so did Ruiko, but that doesn't help their chances next round because they will both have tougher opponents.
