Re: Hurt and Heal *New* Discussion Thread
Currently there is a bias that actually helps people doing mistakes and posting their errors after. In fact, if you do post your mistake, nothing changes for you, the thread is locked and you can vote again 30 minutes after your post. But for all the other people, it might mean that they have to wait more than 30 minutes before their next post. Example:
10.30 - Player A plays.
10.55 - Player B plays and does a mistake.
10.59 - Thread is locked.
11.00 - Player A cannot play but 30 minutes passed!
11.05 - Player B corrects his vote and suffers no penalty. He can still vote at 11.25!
11.10 - Fix post and thread is unlocked.
11.10 - Player A can post but he had to wait 40 minutes and he's not the one who did the mistake!
Of course, people may not abuse of this, but maybe they will. Especially during the final rush. A mod could even let the thread be frozen longer for strategic purposes. I would change the rule to say that the person who did a mistake has to wait 30 minutes after the fix post before it can post again.
It doesn't completely remove all biases, as one player who did no mistake may have to wait 35 minutes, while another may have to wait 40 minutes, but it will anyway be less than the person who did the mistake.

Re: Hurt and Heal *New* Discussion Thread
Thanks for the feedback Toady. In fact I should not have locked the post. I only just posted my move, and after that I checked previous posts and suddenly realized there was a mistake a few posts above. At that instance I did not know how much it had affected subsequent moves, and I was on my phone so I could not process things as quickly as I would have been able to on my computer, so I immediately decided to lock the post for 15 minutes to give myself some time to sort out.Toady wrote:Currently there is a bias that actually helps people doing mistakes and posting their errors after. In retrospect, it was a minor error and could have been fixed easily without locking the post, but at that instant I just made the at-the-point judgement that I needed to prevent anything big.
This mistake is on me, and I overreacted a bit, I should not have locked the post. Thank you for your feedback! I will do better next time. Hope I have not affected the game too much!
As for your suggestion, I cannot make a decision myself. For now, the game continues. After discussion with other Mods (mainly Desu), the decision will be made on how to fix this possible problem.

Can we hope for a legendary Izaya vs. Shizuo for the final?
That would be an awesome fight.

I'm pretty sure the final will be between Shizuo and KanieToady wrote:Can we hope for a legendary Izaya vs. Shizuo for the final?

The Durarara fanbase here seems really split, some only likes Shizou and some only likes Izaya 0,0

Not completely a Durarara supporter, but seen enough of the series to at least know who I want to see/don't really want to see win.

Re: Hurt and Heal *New* Discussion Thread
Well, a relatively mediocre ending for a game having been dragging for over half a year and having caused lots of flames. Anyway, wp people.

Re: Hurt and Heal *New* Discussion Thread
Definitely Shizuo's winning is a good result and I'm happy with that. But just slightly disappointed that such a game didn't get any exciting elements such as betraying of Cause, great comeback, marginal win, as it was approaching to the end. But still a good game overall I'd say.

If I remember correctly, it's three 2nd place finishes and one 3rd place finish so far for Nibutani.
