The site won't let you type in kanji (maybe in other languages, but I haven't checked). I ran into this problem when on the spam thread "count to 100 in japanese."

I could not make a post that had an o with a macron.

I think a setting needs to be changed in the SQL tables; I'll contact our server admin. ;)

Very very very minor issue here.

So for my signature, I wanted to be lazy and use my MAL one. The problem is that the forum is.. messing it up, lol.
Generally (i.e. on MAL) my signature will look like this:
SpoilerShow
Image
But then when I put it into the signature field here and hit preview, it comes out like this:
SpoilerShow
Image
The reason for this is that MAL signatures themselves aren't very flexible, so if you want to have a bigger signature/move the 'recent updates' list/etc, you have to slice it up which is a ridiculously painful process that I don't like at all. ):
The result is 4-5 separate images making up one signature, as you can see in that second picture. But then it seems like this forum automatically puts a small gap between lines. Why those gaps are different sizes is beyond me. D:

It isn't really a big deal; just a minor annoyance. I can survive without my MAL sig. (:

I actually tried to use a sliced signature but it also didn't work. I actually got the "cannot detect dimensions of the images" message so you're better off than I. :D

^That's pretty lame, I was thinking of sometime using my MAL sigs here too. Oh well, just more incentive to make promotional sigs for use here!

Another thing I've noticed:
When posting 2009 ISML banners in my fan creations thread, they're so long, they get cut off at the end. Why is the info. box on the left (containing our avi, name, post count, etc.) so wide? I think its width pushes our posts too far to the right.

Shini, I've resolved the issue by creating the sig tag.

Code: Select all

Marina, I'll poke at the CSS to see if we can get that info box shorter. It seems to get stretchy like that when the window is really wide. If you size the window narrower, it starts to be more proportionate.

Hmm, well I guess the info box isn't the problem then. It shortened when I brought in my window, but that cut off the banner on the right side even more.

Think I got it. How's that? I got you 6% worth of space back. It's probably the most I can do, and extra-long images will always bleed off the right edge.

There's something I've just noticed on my Wii, that the avatars will overlap the text and I won't be able to read the overlapped text.

It doesn't do that with my avatar which is 100x100 in dimension. So it's either the avatars or the layout.

If I fix it on my own I'll edit my post.

Overlap starts to happen when you're working with a small resolution or a really small window. I guess the Wii's browser isn't that high-res?

But yeah, it's the layout being based on the percentages of your screen, and right now it's a bit tailored to higher resolution displays.

It's probably just the style. Cause I own a forum hosted by the same hoster. But I've never had that happen. Probably because our default style is Serenity, and I just tested it and it doesn't do that there.

Not a site error per se, but can you implement the feature that when you click on a link, a new window or tab opens (like on Animesuki)?

Thanks!

Well, I tried posting a new topic with a title that had a macron over a vowel. An error appeared. No problems after I switched it to a double vowel.

*Edit: Although I received an error, it had posted the original topic. Please Disregard.*

CrowKenobi, the adjustment has been made. All future posts' URLs will open in a new window. The change doesn't affect posts made before today, but luckily there aren't too many.

Juice: An error is still an error, and that will be fixed later today.

Not really an error, but I was wondering if it's possible to make it so you can use .php signatures ^^ I was just planning on using a rotating campaign signature (so the image changes every time the page is refreshed). When I try, it says "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image."

Not sure what you mean by that error. So when you put in in your signature, it instead outputs "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image"?

Can you provide the URL to the rotating sig you want? ^^ Maybe it'll help me figure it out.
