IS domination! I would be more happy if Shino and Ayatsuji can won though but well it seems Amagami has no chance making it

As much as I want to break out Dame Vera Lynn's song "We'll Meet Again" for Queen Tsukasa right now, I'd like to see first how Ai and Haruka fare in their matches.

Sadly, Ai will have a tough opponent in ISML veteran Kotomi Ichinose. Haruka's match with Mami Tomoe on the other hand can go either way otherwise, but considering how recent their respective shows are and the ensemble darkhorse quality of Haruka's opponent (despite appearing in only a few episodes and that spoiler-tastic wham episode), my forecast is grim. :(

I'll still vote for the Amagami SS girls to the end. And only after it's all said and done will I break out that song. (Background nuclear bomb explosions optional.)

EDIT: Almost forgot:
- Victors list:
Elucia, Minatsu, Rin, Last Order, Asami, Cecilia, Hoki, Kanon, Ikaros, Merry, Charlotte, Ayase, Ritsu, Ika-Musume, Nymph, Ruiko, Lingyin, Kurimu, Ui, Nozomi, Yuri, Shiori, Shoko, Yami. (24)

- Vanquished list:
Chizuru, Suiseiseki, Saeko, Tsukasa (T_T), Misaki, Itsuwa (T_T), Nino, Hayate. (8)

Well, I'm kinda suprised that Ayumu managed to get 2k votes. Not sure if I should count that as a strength on Hamster's side, or a loss of power for Rin though.

I feel that the order in which the characters were placed isn't random ^^ Anyway, congrats to Mio who won over the statistics !

20 of my votes made it, 11 didn't and I had one abstention.

Just back.
Only one match with right side won.
Nozomi vs Erika is just too bad from the beginning.
This is deathmatch so that lose by 5000+ votes is the same meaningless as by 1 vote.

As most matches were predictable and there weren't so many my favorate characters in this match day, I will say the excited exponent is 3. It seems that I shall pay most of my attention to the last day of Phase II. And before it, I hope everything goes in the plan. Of course, it will be perfect to see the characters I like to defeat their stronger opponents. Praying for no upset results.

Everyone I expected to win won their match but I guess that's not saying much since very few of the matches had questionable winners. In terms of margin of victory (or loss) it's Suigintou and Suiseseki that did worst relative to me expectations. I like them a lot so I guess I'm still projecting onto them strength they simply don't have. I thought they would both get close to to Shiori and Ryouko, but they got killed instead. Nakagawa Kanon also looked against against Rei so maybe part of Suigintou losing so badly was underestimation of TWGOK characters. Sonohara Anri got killed by Cecilia Alcott. I'm not expecting much strength for Durarara characters, but Anri didn't look this bad in Phase I. Yami, Lingyin and Ui all did a bit worse than I thought and they were all from the same group. I originally though Kuroko and Yami boost a bit along with a slight fall in Ui's strength to make them close together. It's looking more like Ui just fell by quite a bit. It's a bit surprising consdering Ritsu and Tsumugi look pretty good and the other K-On characters look as strong as ever (or maybe not Yui who lost to Victorique). Akaba Chizuru nearly manages to beat Ibuki Fuuko. Chizuru won the last time they faced so this suggests Seitokai no Ichizon characters are falling faster than Clannad. I expected them to be falling a lot faster though so it's nice to see that might not be true. I guess it's also possible that it's Clannad that's falling faster than I expected which would not be cool. <_<

I'm not too suprised at any of these, really.

I'm sad to see Rena, Arashiko, Nessa, and Manami go, though I did expect it for all of them. Hopefully they'll do better next year. :)

On the other hand, I'm very excited for Fuuko's victory over Chizuru. :D It was too close, though. I'm also happy for Charlotte, Last Order, Iwasawa, Ika Musume, and Mio's slide-in victories.

I keep seeing things like "character X going/leaving," so I hope you all know all the characters "eliminated" this phase will come back in Phase III. I can see how the bracket can misleadingly make people think permanent elimination though.

I'm glad that Minatsu, Ruiko, Nanoha, Ami, and Shouko won. I'm disappointed that Ayumu and Rena lost. Nothing much more to say than that.

loudmouth wrote:I wonder if everyone knows why certain characters were put on the left as opposed to the right...
Each Phase 2 group has one second place finisher from Phase 1, one third place finisher, one fourth and so on to 9th place for a total of 8 characters. As an aside, these 8 character are all from 8 different consecutive Phase 1 groups. The 8 characters in the bracket are arranged into 4 matches like this: (top = left, bottom = right)

Phase I 2nd place
Phase I 9th place

Phase I 5th place
Phase I 6th place

Phase I 3rd place
Phase I 8th place

Phase I 4th place
Phase I 7th place

The characters that ranked higher in Phase I (left side) are generally stronger than those who placed lower so the characters on the left are the ones who usually win. The characters were placed strictly by where they finished in Phase I and what Phase I group they were in. None of the characters were moved around based on staff decision (as far as I can tell, at least).
