Re: Fantasy: Prelims, Phase I
So how did you guys like this fantasy experience? Mostly likely, all of the other fantasy this year will have you participating once every voting day, not just the start of a phase. So I hope some of you have enough endurance for this type of fantasy.

Re: Fantasy: Prelims, Phase I
I think I'll prefer the Fantasy of Phase II. This one was nice, but if you made a mistake in your team, if you over/underestimated a girl, you have no way to change your mind... But I think it was especially difficult, because we had only very little data on the characters at the beginning.

Much stuff (but Chibaka has more)Show

Interesting and enlightening, even if I did place far lower than expected, mostly because of lack of experience.KholdStare88 wrote:So how did you guys like this fantasy experience? Looking forward to the normal rounds. ^_^

It's been fun all the way. But there are days when I am not around (out of town) and have no way to participate though. Usually around 2 to 3 days.KholdStare88 wrote:So how did you guys like this fantasy experience? It has been fun. This is my first time participating in ISML, so I am very motivated and I will try my best to continue to do well in the fantasy.

I thought I was going to have a tough time thanks to the middle rounds. But the last 2 rounds gave me hope for fantasy later on.

I really liked the fantasy experience. There was a lot of fun analysis involved and it was interesting to see other people's performances relative to your own.

Re: Fantasy: Prelims, Phase I
Though it should have been frustrating to go from 11th to the bottom 11 spots, I was more frustrated at the lack of wins for my favorites in certain arenas, so instead, Fantasy was relatively enjoyable. ^_^

Re: Fantasy: Prelims, Phase I
I liked this one a lot, since I'm not always available to do predictions every voting day, and would like to still be able to participate for the whole thing. It was fun, too, because it was something new, and it's nice to see the fantasy runs evolve with the tournament itself.

Re: Fantasy: Prelims, Phase I
I agree with CrimsonFallingStar that incinerating yourself while simultaneously getting shot by 17 million mini blackholes in Antartica to churn out a fantasy for the whole phase is much easier than doing one for every match. Overall, fantasy was an interesting experience; it's always exciting to see the newest results posted up and to cringe at how much I dropped (or, *gasp*, rose).KholdStare88 wrote:So how did you guys like this fantasy experience? And no, I don't have the endurance to spend 6 hours on a fantasy every other day but I'll probably end up doing it anyways.

Just an extra bit of fun for those that loves statistics and the like and also a nice bit of challenge. Plus the secret prize at the end.ZERO wrote:I dont quite understand the meaning of this...
Well the fact that fantasy will be every voting day means that the ammount you need to predict a day is way smaller, the kind that you can take 5 minutes while still pondering a good amount.Eater-of-All wrote:I agree with CrimsonFallingStar that incinerating yourself while simultaneously getting shot by 17 million mini blackholes in Antartica to churn out a fantasy for the whole phase is much easier than doing one for every match. Participating in every-day fantasy will hopefully be easier with our new system.

Re: Fantasy: Prelims, Phase I
Before I unsticky this, I would like to make a huge announcement for people who wants to participate in Phase II of fantasy. Like Phase I, the first match of Phase II will be your fantasy registration for the whole phase. Also, from now on, you can only participate in fantasy within the 24-hour voting period. So in short, if you want to participate in fantasy for Phase II, then you only have 24 hours to register tomorrow. Good luck.

Re: Fantasy: Prelims, Phase I
24 hours seems pretty short. It may reduce the number of people participating or might not give those who participate enough time to create an entry they are happy with. I personally won't have problems meeting the 24 hour time limit, but is there any way you could make it longer?
A miracle that you believe in when you know it won't happen......... is hope.
