Yeah, definitely a clash. All 3 are some of my top picks in the prelims. This'll be worse than Mikoto vs Noe, since all 3 actually have the strength to make the tourney, whereas Noe's just not popular enough...

Uiharu comes off to me as being more of the "If she wins, then it's all good but if she loses, let's just move on" type of character in the game. So don't really feel like it's going to be that painful involving her. Plus, she doesn't gives that dominating aura of being capable of surviving top-tier play against more fancied opponents.

If Uiharu had won her second round match, going up against Mio and Kotomi, someone was going to take votes away from Mio which would give one of the challengers the opportunity to pull a huge upset against Mio. Separately, Mio could take care of both Uiharu and Kotomi, but not both at the same time.

There's no clear cut winner between Nagisa and Saber. Nagisa may be pulling more vote totals in her respective match, but to win the group, she has to do that against Saber.

On paper Mafuyu and Kurimu look like clear cut winners in their group, but then I noticed Maria (Hayate no Gotoku) and Hiragi Tsukasa (Lucky Star) on the other end. How will this year's favorites handle against prior favorite veterans.

If votes determined who is going to win the showdown between CC, Nanoha, and Izumi Konata, the battle would end up between Izumi and CC, but anything could happen in the final match.
