And ditto again. I do like Mugi and Ui, but they're no match for Alicia.advance94 wrote:Same heremaglor wrote:ditto. They don't call her Miss Perfect for nothing.imbehindyou wrote:ilkaid wrote:Alicia Florence no contest.
There is a little weird psychology at work in 3 to 1 matches. When 2 of the choices can be seen as more similar compared to the lone one out, it can raise people's awareness of the lone exception. This can result in positive or negative boost, which will depend on situation, but in general it is possible to form groups of 3 that will make certain characters appear stronger than they actually would be in simple head to head match. In this case, Tsumugi or Ui might beat Alicia rather soundly in head to head, but when choices are paired liked this, people can't help noticing the situation as more of K-ON vs ARIA, and we do have disproportionately large number of ARIA fans among the regular contributers to the forum. We also should think about poor performance by ARIA characters in past ISML discouraging people to even try for Alicia. Finally, Alicia is so awesome, she doesn't need polls and Moe Tournaments to let people know how awesome she is.KholdStare88 wrote:What I've found out is that, some of the contestants who were in Prelims but failed to make it to Regular Season are overperforming.
Of course, Alicia didn't even make it to Prelims, which makes it more amazing.
