taiga beat hina again? not happening =K
last fight was really close and taiga did win, however that was because of other factors at that time considering it was the necklace round.

Yeah ! Azunyan did it ! I knew it was possible, but I didn't expect it ! She can get this tiara, even if she's not the favorite !

It's sad for Yuki, but well, quite normal. I expected extreme Hideyoshi domination, but I didn't expect the same for Kanata, I was quite sure Rio had a great fanbase.

Love the close matches. I can't read into the results like others have.
All I can say is that when the regular season finished, I didn't think that Azusa could beat Hina.
Just before the postseason started, I felt that it was anyone's match.
The match between Taiga and Mikoto lived up to its billing. A true 4 vs 5.
I just hope that the matches continue to be competitive.

On an excellent day, Taiga could beat Hina, but if I go by the Amethyst results 3100-2845, the first match went to Hina (Unless you were referring to Taiga taking the Topaz necklace from Hina by tiebreaker).

Problem is Hina will have to contend with the loser of the Shana/Mikoto match should she win her next match.

I was expecting it to happen, but I'm still sad that Taiga lost. ;_; Oh well, I like Biribiri as well, so it's not that bad. On the other hand, Meimi should've done better. If only more people knew her. ;_;

To bad Hina lost but it was expected. I am starting to think Mio is gonna have some trouble with Azusa, same goes for Shana against Mikoto. I think Mikoto is able to pull of a win.

Most interesting...next round of winners' bracket match will be J.C. Staff vs J.C. Staff and KyoAni vs KyoAni.

Happy for Azusa's win, seeing how she has grown over the course of 2010. As for the Azusa vs Mio match, I would prefer for Mio to stay in the winner's bracket and go against Shana (so as to avoid both Taiga and Hinagiku if Mio loses). Azusa would have a better fighting chance against Taiga in the losers' bracket and then against Hinagiku or Mikoto or Shana. Episode 22 seems to be Azusa-centric and plays on the sympathy card. That might give Azusa sufficient support boost to stand up against J.C. Staff's players.

So some very close matches. I'm supporting both Taiga and Mikoto so he winner did not bother me. Disapointed that Hina lost, but it happens.
Although I'm very pleased that Ayu won her match.

Shanna and Mikoto may have a lift in October due to the new series. On the contrary, K-ON is over by October.

even though people rumored SnS season 3 to be on aire fall (october) 2010. However it will not. new serie/seasons are always announced months ahead of time (officially not just rumor) and from what I can see, Ova 4 releases in two weeks, however no news on season 3 yet. and if by now there are no news, its not going to aire this fall. So the earliest SnS season 3 will aire is in January. (and really....although thousands of people votes in this tournament/contests) this is a very very very small percentage of fans for each of the anime characters represented) so the results in this tournament is only semi-accurate of what (english speaking) people is actually perfering. watching the same anime dubbed/subbed in english is actually quite a bit different from RAW/Chinese subbed. especially because eastern and western world culture are quite different.
even though k-on is ending. I am willing to bet at least one ova episode will be made march of next yr.
and new k-on merchandising is still going to go on and on for at least half a year probably much longer, and it will subsidize some of the decrease in popularity of the characters.

I wonder if anyone noticed, but it's interesting how Hinagiku won in both China and Taiwan yet lost overall.

I noticed. But then, the votes were almost evenly split (around 52%) whereas for the countries that support Azusa, the vote percentage are more skewed in Azusa's favor (except North America at 51%).

Basically I guess if China+Taiwan has an almost 50-50 support between two contestants, then the outcome could go in either direction.

It will happen again today, with China 56.2%, Taiwan 51.8%, but the character did not win - just saying how international votes have increased for DE.

Oh yay. I'm hoping increase in "international" 8-) votes gives me some good results 8-)
