Hm...just looking at the next match-ups for exhibition, it seems that SE's exhibition are really exciting for me. A few more intraseries match-ups, and Yune~ <3

Looking at the exhibitions
Erio's stronger than Ohana although Ohana is the strongest loser.
I'm predicting Hanasaku Iroha to be mid-high tier next year.

Wilhelmina won to no one's surprise.

From this it looks like Aoi no Exorcist won't be a threat next year. Astarotte however is a contender for main tourney under the new system. Under the old system she'd probably just be high tier.

I think Nichijo's performance may end up disappointing some people next year. Although I'm unfamiliar with the series.

Madoka vs Naru really interested me from the outset. I always did expect Madoka to win though. Although Kholdstare brought up something in the other thread about picture voting so Hoshizora might not be as strong as this match suggests. Anyway I was wondering whether Us Dude's Ain't Got Wings could pull an upset but I think this confirms it for LOL tier. Hoshizora is merely very low tier.

Haruhi vs Ciel really surprised me. I wasn't expecting a guy to get anywhere near a girl. I don't know whether people just hate Haruhi or people were picture voting but the Magical Boy exhibition suggests that girl oriented series (yes I know it's Shonen) aren't that popular. I know I defended Shirou from Chiibi on AnimeSuki but I was really surprised that people found him moe so I assumed series voting was in place.

I know what's going to happen to Hina now that she advances to the next round. But for now, I'll enjoy the fact that Hina won her match and advanced.
Wanted Yui-Nyan and Yuri to win as well, but couldn't beat Shana and Azusa so no surprise there.

Nice wins for Erio and Lotte. (Wanted Shiemi to win more or at least be competitive though)

Out of interest, do you people prefer exhibition matches between characters from the same series more or exhibition matches between characters from different series?

I prefer same series ex. matches, but some flings here and there ( like Lotte [ kugyuu] vs shiemi [ kanahana ] or Blanket-chan x Ohana ) = desirable.

Well, so far the ones that are intraseries are from series that I either didn't watch or barely watched a few episodes, so those haven't been that exciting for me, so I'd say characters from different series.

I think non-intras make better indicators how strong a show in general is, so I perfer that.

Or rather, I perfer a large number of non-intras with a couple of intras here and there.

Seems I've mistaken match numbers...
Good news: Nadeko is out. Justice.
Bad news: Mio faded.
Ex: For #1,#3 and #5, fine. #4 is random strike.
Flag suggestion:
Rotte: Her tail, or yellow clover.
Exorcist: Blue flame, in title.
Oretsuba: Maybe the wing in title?
Hoshikaka: It's a question. Rainbow bridge?
Last 2: No comment.

Winners were as I'd expected, the Ex matches were more interesting than the postseason matches. Pink-hair moves on to fight white-hair
*continues preping his planned Hina-tan vs Tenshi write-up*
*sigh* this is pretty much the end of the season as far as I care, the rest of the girls are to new in my brain to properly write anything for or judge, or just a series I haven't gotten interested in.
Team Rocket Elite wrote:Out of interest, do you people prefer exhibition matches between characters from the same series more or exhibition matches between characters from different series?
Same series tends to show a more tempered line of what's seen as 'moe' and thus more helpful in making guesses for the future from a technical standpoint, and tend to make more interesting battles than different series matches, more variables set to '0', and easier to know both parties makes it easier on the time scheduling to determine where to put the vote.
As a writer, it makes things easier and gives more opportunities to make things original, when the series matches up. Less need to include what might be spoilers to some.

Although I knew she would lose, I'm disappointed for Nano. :tearsad:

Other results were all as expected, but it's good to see a destruction by Kanade. How are those hate votes looking now, eh?
