RESULTS: 2011 Elimination 3

Post by Chocola » Fri Nov 04, 2011 8:44 pm

51.6% of USA voted for Azusa
57.5% of Canada voted for Shana
50.8% of South Korea voted for Shana

Sometimes I stop and think-- if there were less than, or equal to, only 100 voters in Australia, I would make up equal to, or greater than, 1% of them.

Actually, that glaringly obvious statistic only just occurred to me.

numbers > percentages.
example: 50% can mean many different vote totals - 1/2, 50/100, 5000/10000, etc.

i'm hoping for an azusa win (:

The US favors felines, Canada and South Korea doesn't?
Alexander wrote:I guess shana won then...
If there's more US voters than Canadian voters, those numbers tell a different story, plus there's the rest of the world to consider. But it sounds like Shana has found competition in Azusa.

The surprise of the day is that South Korea hates Shana.

If my calculations are correct, which they probably aren't. Azusa would have slightly more votes. (assuming 4500 from U.S, 900 from Canada and 1350 from S.K or something like that)

And now for something different, lets predict over/unders

Kanade/Hina: 15000
Shana/Azusa: 13560

so try to guess whether the total votes for the arena's given or over or under my guess. (Unfortunately I can't trade cookies :\ )

disregarding south Korea and rest of the world
51.6% in USA for Azusa and and 57.5% for Shana would mean,
there needs to be 4.68 times as many voters in USA as Canada for them to tie.

516 : 484 difference=32
and
575 : 425 difference=150

150 / 32 = 4.68 times

What this means is that 51.6% of U.S. has good taste.

Wow, Canada....
I'm thinking of my friend now. He lives in Canada and loves Shana. I'm guessing he did something....
I made more than 30 votes for Shana as I did a little campaign. Hope that will help my Shana-chan.

Nevertheless, if any of them will win, shall seriously prepare for the Tenshi fight.

I hope Azusa wins, though it's hardly worth me bawling over otherwise.

More interesting in seeing how the TWGOK intra-series resolve, really. Mainly the total VF.

I think US has more voters than Canada. So yeah, hopefully Azusa would win.

Why Fuu vs that one? Is that Akari a camera girl?
(Was thinking of Meiki Raika @ R-15).
Flag for Tamayura might be: Old type camera, or Momoneko.
