Ruri actually won by more votes against Yuki than Yuki against Ruri back in Topaz. Didn't see that coming, but I did think Ruri had a chance at winning against Yuki. With Mikoto over Taiga, I will have at least one top 5 favorite in the final match. Excellent results overall.

(Well Charlotte didn't do so well.

We've got the first big upset. Kuroneko really out does herself and manages to take out Nagato Yuki. Misaka takes no chances and kills Taiga out there. I really thought the match would be a lot closer than that. Even with Misaka fighting at significantly above her usual level, that was still a performance a fair bit worse than what Kanade did in the regular season (57.59% on Taiga). Misaka still has a way to go if she wants to repeat her Diamond 7 performance let alone to actually beat Kanade. The Hanazawa Kana faction really came out today. Not only did they push Kuroneko over Yuki but Charlotte also did really well on Haruhi. Eucliwood vs Hitagi was a fairly normal result.

This. Especially at the part where Kurisu lost to Aria. What's with that, right?

Yeah, Kuroneko > Yuki is unexpected. Luckily, I'm fine with either one winning.

I don't even see Yuki beating Kanade at this stage because nothing is going up for Yuki. It's possible that:
1) insurance but Yuki is not one of those who can even break 45% let alone Ruri (I voted for Yuki)
2) Who wants a HanaKana final?
3) Mikoto's insurance of getting to the finals
4) lulz
5) the pressure is finally getting to the Kanade fans

If anything, Kanade must concentrate against Shana. If she can win that match then she goes to the finals, if not then it's a year to forget. Again, if Kanade becomes the champ, she'll be the 2nd person to win it as a #1 seed (Fate did it in 2008). I'll be rooting for Railgun in her next match though and of course my faves in the postseason.

Oh Aria smashing Kurisu, you Rie Kugimiya fans and your support for very similar characters (The actual surprise is that i assumed many more people had watched Steins;gate so that popularity alone would lead to victory, way off on that one, at least with our voting base anyway)

I like the semi final promo poster.

Good: Kuroneko, Mikoto, Haruhi, and Fuu-nyon winning
Bad: Hitagi and Airi losing

What I find disturbing is that it took most of the world voting for Kuroneko to take out the US, Canada, and Australia voting for Yuki. I don't dislike Yuki, but still...

And now I must choose between Kuroneko and Mikoto.

If Kanade fans want to manipulate results, they probably knocked out shana already by supporting azusa. Shana struggles during post season, but her on-air advantage can make the difference at a time like this.

Yuki is not strong enough to defeat Kanade this year anyways. The only ones who are capable of at this point are Shana and Mikoto. Kuroneko has some potential, but I still highly doubt it.

I'm happy for Ruri, but still, I can't believe that just happened. Incredible.
Mikoto won by a lot. I was expecting it to be closer.

Okay, I've calmed down a bit. Let's see...
I'm extremely happy with Ruri > Yuki, yet I feel bad for Yuki, because this strangely reminds me of when Azusa beat Hina last year, and I was so heartbroken over that. Fear won quite nicely, and Ayumi won. Chiriko was close, but I guess not close enough

And KURISU!!! T^T WHYYYY...At least Chihaya won <3
