Hopefully I can stay here long enough to take some pictures of beautiful supernovas (i.e. RAGE).
EDIT: Damnit I'm going to stop my torrents just to see this in its full glory.

Re: RESULTS - Double Elimination 1
A very close match between Shana and Horo. Either it's the works of the RM, the general sentiment of the public to anti-vote, or people have genuinely converted to Horo's cause (doubt it can be this strong though). ...Rin.... Suigintou raped Mikuru with a margin of which surprised me. I guess I overestimated the Haruhi boost. In other news though, Haruhi, Kyou, and Yuki's wins are f yeah.

Re: RESULTS - Double Elimination 1
Anyone find it weird that in the secondary matches, the highest vote totals for winner and loser are in the same match (Louise vs. Chii).
Also that Nanoha and Fate got the losest vote count in the Primary matches?

Re: RESULTS - Double Elimination 1
I just remembered the other possible reason for all those late votes...Best Moe voting today started only an hour or so before this match ended. Today was Ushio vs. Horo.

Re: RESULTS - Double Elimination 1
Let's break it down:
#1 Shana def. #16 Holo 1981-1932
If you're a Shana fan, you can't feel good about this one. A win is a win, but now you go on to face Rin (an arguably stronger opponent) with the bullseye on your back even larger.
#8 Rin def. #9 Kagami 1989 - 1772
Kagami's been a mixed bag all year. Some days, she looks like she could win it all. Some days, she looks like she's about 25th. Rin's been good at beating the girls she should beat, and her consistency wins the day. She could end up benefiting big-time from Shana's haters.
#4 Kyou def. #13 Suiseiseki 2003-1983
Well, if Haruhi and Yuki can turn it back on, then I guess Kyou can, too. Apparently CLANNAD ain't going away as easily as I thought (well, THIS half of CLANNAD anyways). We'll soon find out if Kyou's really this strong or if Desu's not as powerful as we thought.
#5 Suigintou def. #12 Mikuru 2265-1789
Suigintou wins by nearly 500. That's not a surprise. What IS a surprise is that the other two dolls lost in the same round. She's been the class of Rozen Maiden all year, but most people (myself included) thought that she'd boost the other dolls to boot. And I may not be Nostradamus, but you can put it on the board: Mikuru now has the honor of being knocked out of the tourney by two dolls.
#3 Tomoyo def. #14 Nanoha 2095-1640
Nanoha's been weak against the top girls, and Tomoyo's been pretty good about winning ones she should win. No shock here. Now comes the hard part...
#11 Hinagiku upsets #6 Fate 1949-1768
Fate put up a better fight than I thought, but 'Giku's for real. I think she's got a good chance against Tomoyo in round 2. As for Fate... She just hasn't had that extra gear this year. She'll get one win over Nanoha, but that'll be it.
#2 Haruhi def. #15 Shinku 2125-1887
Nobody needed the month off (i.e. the month farther away from "The Arc Which Shall Not Be Named") more than Haruhi. Going from her looked-better-than-it-was 15-4 finish to the second-highest vote total in Round 1 is HUGE. She hasn't done too well this year against Yuki, but she's done well against her here. As for Shinku, this was RM's best chance to make a mark, and they couldn't do it. That should tell you something.
#7 Yuki def. #10 Taiga 2053-1814
Remember what I said about Haruhi needing the month off more than anyone? Forget that. Yuki needed to get back on track, and she did in a big way. Taiga's been good as of late, and I had her winning this one... but give credit to Yuki. I like Taiga to take down one opponent - maybe two - before her season ends.
And my Vegas lines for Thursday:
RIN +30 over Shana
SUIGINTOU +220 over Kyou
HINAGIKU +20 over Tomoyo
HARUHI +120 over Yuki

Well Tomoyo is the only one in this contest that has beaten Shana this year. And also beat Shana last year.

YEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!! Kyou won, I can't believe it! My day suddenly got a whole lot better
Horo, nice job against Shana, was sure you wouldn't win, but your performance exceeded my expectatations. Tomoyo winning predictable, as was Kagami losing. Sigh, can't see much hope this time around though for my favourites, all of them will go out the door I think, except possibly Tomoyo.

Re: RESULTS - Double Elimination 1
Shana won is a good thing. But like it was said before in this thread, the win is quite inglorious. I really hope she manages it to the top tough.
What's more good... 2 Dolls lost. Good thing. Rozen Maiden is Rotz (something like bullshit in German).
Kyou won too. Given that what girls are in the finals, she's one of my favourites too.
The other Things aren't that well tough. Especially Kagamis defeat.
