ISML 2017: Election Day Field Set!
Nayuta Kani wins ISML 2017 Fall Diadem

By Jo-Ryan Salazar
The Bedlam on Baltic Avenue
December 9, 2017

Match Day 7 of the 2017 International Saimoe League Postseason is in the books, and our Election Day Field is set. Megumi Katou scored the Upset of the Round, defeated Mashiro Shiina 5655-5174 and will face Emilia, who hammered Asuna Yuuki 5846-5271. The Bedlam on Baltic Avenue is tipping Emilia, who has yet to win a prize in the ISML, to win the Tiara and the Saimoe Prime Minister's office by at least 300 votes with over 15,000 votes cast.

In the battle for the Deputy Saimoe Prime Minister's Office and the ISML Scepter, a heavyweight fight will take place between two well-rounded contenders. Korosensei crushed Yuzuru Otonashi 5514-4276 and will take on Hachiman Hikigaya, who will seek a second term after ousting Taki Tachibana 5350-4985. Korosensei is tipped to win this race on Monday, Dec. 11 by under 300 votes with over 15,000 votes cast.

As tipped on the Bedlam, Nayuta Kani has won the ISML 2017 Fall Diadem with a 4885-3426 belting of Kaho Hinata. Schwi Dola finished third after roughhousing Kirie Motoba 4547-3832.

In Tiara Consolation action, Rem routed Megumin 5318-4133, Yukino Yukinoshita roared past Taiga Aisaka 4888-4210, Shiro slaughtered Illyasviel von Einzbern 4613-4475, Kurumi Tokisaki shot down Rin Tosaka 5002-4507, Saber slashed past Nao Tomiri 4907-4450, Utaha Kasumigaoka flattened Chino Kafuu 5140-4033 and Rikka Takanashi rocked Kurisu Makise 4749-4247.

In Scepter Consolation action, Nagisa Shiota defeated Karma Akabane 4036-3721, Souma Yukihira dominated Gilgamesh 4476-3967, Saitama punched Kiritsugu Emiya 4238-4105, Touma Kamijou broke Kazuma Satou 4297-3863, Ryuuji Takasu roared past Edward Elric 3910-3824, Levi eased past Rintarou Okabe 4591-3957 and Koyomi Araragi won the closest race of the round, a 3023-3955 win over Shirou Emiya.

Match Day 8 of the 2017 International Saimoe League postseason, the final match day, is Election Day 2017 and is scheduled for December 11, 2017. Vote for your favorite candidates at InternationalSaimoe.com and join the ongoing debate.

KATOU MEGUMI FOR TIARA
Yes!! Katou for Tiara!!

But she must losing her "truely" rivalries, Mashiro
At least Asuna must knocked down by Emilia, instead Rem must goodbye.

Well, Fall Seasonal of this year is the worst than other seasonal :(

(Yes, Kato had a year, hence the -er)
I haven't wrong because I have fact of that. That is not because Emilia beat Asuna that Asuna did not vote antivote Rem (you can watch the voting thread of Elimination 5, it's obvious) and you can't make speculation about previous results with these results because there is 75% of vote in more. I think, if Emilia and Rem had been inverted in the matchup, Rem would be at the place of Emilia today.
After, the result of today was probable because it's a part of two possibilities. Mashiro and Asuna voters vote for each other, and Emilia and Megumi same. (There is also other votes but I assume that is the majority of scenarios).

"Bad results are just temporary, a positive attitude will eventually lead to satisfying results", which is what I strongly believe as an ISML voter. So another my character will be fighting in the final, I hope Katou won't end up being the runner-up as many my characters did haha. Sad for Mashiro, it's amazing Katou won by a map like that. Asuna fans have done a good job this year, I have to acknowledge that. 2017 ISML certainly wouldn't have ended up being this heated without Asuna, a good antagonist for many of us~

Also, because the "semifinal poster rule" for Tiara winner continues being true, next year the staff shall use a random number generator to decide the character positions on the semifinal poster to be "fair" lol

Oh wow. On one hand, i'm glad we're gonna have an at least decent winner this year.

On the other, I don't want to suffer another year of seeing Asuna in regular season.. ugh... I hope that this won't keep being a trend (hugely popular characters winning every single match in RS only to fall to underdog characters just so they can spend another year dominating results)

I forgot to vote again (could've sworn I did), but these results.....WOOOHOOOO! WAY TO GO EMILIA TAN MY ANGEL!!! A good consolation since Rem didn't make it. Glad to see an overhyped character like Asuna get shut down like that (it's not that I hate her as much as I'm just so sick of her ).

This round of results almost makes up for a lot of the shitty results we've gotten lately.

It's over 9000 votes :o

Well done Emilia-tan! Many surprises in the Female Division this year, but I really like this one! I'm sad for Mashiro though and I suppose I'll have to watch Saekano when Katou will get the tiara.
On the Male side, no surprise at all lol. The Hachiman - Korosensei finale everyone expected from Day 1. I hope Hachiman will win.
Some cool consolation results, especially wins by Rem and Rikka.
